The Clubhouse at the Presidio Golf Course

My wife and I hosted our wedding here at the Clubhouse at the Presidio in September 2015. From the first moment we walked into the Café and met Tracey we knew this was the place to have our special day. Tracey was very helpful in getting back to us and keeping us on track with all the planning. No matter how small or big the question was Tracey got back to us in a timely fashion. When the big day came my wife, our families and I were very happy with how the Café looked and the professional manner of the staff. They were very attentive, professional, and accommodating. We would definitely use this space again to host other big events. Our wedding was small, about 70 people which made for a more intimate setting. We have since been back to have lunch and have placed the Café on our permanent rotation of places to go eat. I highly recommend this venue for any party wedding, retirement, big birthdays, etc. A huge THANK YOU to Tracey and the staff at the Clubhouse for a wonderful day.

One of the reasons why my husband and I chose to have our wedding at the Golf Course and Clubhouse in Presidio was because of Tracey! She was super friendly and warm during our initial meeting. She answered all our questions and we felt so confident that she could give us a wonderful wedding. After that, no other venue compared, and we booked our wedding with them.
Tracey was really on top of things, emailing back and forth with my husband and I. Every time I spoke to Tracey I knew that everything was going to be fine. She is amazing at keeping you calm (and especially planning a wedding, you definitely need someone that won’t stress you out even more!)
Another great thing about having our wedding here was the food. The tasting we had with Chef Caleb was amazing!!! Everything he served us was so delicious! Especially the mini beef wellingtons and his halibut! We had a hard time choosing between the chicken and filet mignon because they were both great! Ultimately, we chose the fish and the filet mignon, but if we could have, we would have chosen everything!
The day of the wedding, I wasn’t nervous at all, because I knew that Tracey would take care of it. And she really did! The venue was beautiful. The ceremony outside looked so pretty with the arch and the white chairs. The inside looked just as equally beautiful with the white lanterns, very simple, but very nice. Nick, one of the event managers, was very professional and easy going. He was a great help. Also, I had a special request for Tracey: that she save some of our hors de ouvres for the bridal party. =) And she made it happen! While we were taking pictures in the ceremony area, she had servers come out and bring us food! It was great! The servers were amazing! They were super attentive, friendly, and helpful.
Tracey always talked so highly of the servers and staff and they really did a great job making sure we were taken care of. One server, a lady with dark glasses and red hair, was especially wonderful. She took care of all our needs. My husband had a little surprise for me (he bought a pint of my favorite ice cream and brought it for me to have during the wedding, because I’m an ice cream fanatic and I HAD to have some for our wedding), but she made sure that I didn’t leave without the ice cream. She was so sweet!
My husband and I were VERY happy with all the staff at the Presidio Golf Course and Clubhouse. They did everything that we wanted them to do and they went over and beyond our expectations. Thank you all soo sooo much! We cannot thank you enough!

PaintNite by Rachel Gold at the Presidio Golf Course Clubhouse. Decent pub-​style menu, excellent fries. Also fresh house made potato chips! Didn’t try the 8oz burger but it looked delicious at the next table.

Tracey, Nick and their team helped make our fundraising event go off without a hitch! They made everything super easy to navigate, all last minute requests were greeted with a smile and they are always super flexible.

Very nice golf course and club house. At the northern edge of San Francisco, the golf course is well appointed and kept in pristine condition. The club house has some cheap menus for late brunch or a quick «pick-​me-​ups». The practice grounds have a couple of putting holes for you to perfect your putts and places to chip. A lot of joggers also enjoy the scenery and the trails that the golf course offers. The parking situation is a little tight and are not much alternatives.. therefore.. I give it a 4 star rating. Overall not bad.

My first visit in a long time was early January. I sat at the end of the bar and ordered breakfast with ham. Bartender told me they do not have ham. A server said «yes we do, but no one ever orders it». In the 25 minutes it too to get my breakfast the servers joked and fooled around next to me in the service end of the bar. The bartender got into a heated argument with a server and they both raised their voice.
A server pulled the stool next to me and slammed down a packet of napkins and threw them onto the cabinet. They were all on their cell phones joking with each other completely ignoring the guests. Breakfast arrived. It was cold. When I received the check my diet cokes were missing.
The guest next to me paid by credit card and it was rubbed on a receipt to get the numbers. I decided to pay cash. I heard the bartender say their credit card machine «was down».
Second visit was last Sunday. Same thing. Staff fooling around, laughing and congregating at the end of the bar. I paid by credit card. Same thing. Paper with all my credit card info for everyone to see. I was told the credit card machine has been broken for a month.
I called the General Manager this week and here is where it really goes down hill. His attitude was terrible. He told me «you must have had a bad experience» and «next time don’t use a credit card» No apology, nothing. I live down the hill in the Presidio and like the proximity of the place. Never again. It has been taken over by Touchstone Golf Management. One would think they would have much higher standards than to allow a General Manager with that kind of attitude to run a high profile place.
I will never go back and recommend that everyone I talk to never goes there. Too bad for such a nice location to be mismanaged so badly.

I came to the clubhouse for a snack and met a golf pro in the proshop. He was super kind, and it was a memorable visit.

After traveling to Armenia in April and attending our sons traditional Armenian wedding. We returned with the task of finding the perfect venue for hosting a reception for our family and friends back here at home.
In late August we hosted a reception here for our son and daughter-​in-​law. It was truly was a spectacle evening! Everything turned out as expected, down to the tiniest details. Even the unpredictable San Francisco weather cooperated and presented us with a beautiful sunset.
From the first call requesting information to the day of the event, Tracey was remarkable. She is so friendly, responsive, and helpful. Tracey certainly understands all aspects of planning and coordinating events. She provided us with a timeline of dates, tasks, and deliverables which made for a seamless reception and kept us on target and budget.
We started the evening with a cocktail hour with both passed hor d’oeuvers as well as a cheese, fruit, and vegetable display. Both were a big hit with our guests and top quality selections. Our son is a chef at a near by Michelin star restaurant, so food was a very important part of our decision. Both of the protein selections (beef short ribs and sea bass) were delicious and not over cooked. All the foods was served hot or cold, and presented beautifully. Thank you Nick and staff.
We have a large group of «foodies» who all agreed the food was excellent.
Our guest loved the open bar which allowed everyone to enjoy their favorite cocktails. The bartenders were very friendly and happy make any combination requested.
Knowing that some of our guests would be traveling from Armenia, out of state, and out of town. We wanted a venue that would feel welcoming and warm, this location offers just what we were looking for.
Locals to San Francisco already know the beauty of the Presidio. What a wonderful way to showcase your special event by choosing this beautiful historic location.
Beautiful location, spectacular views, wonderful food, great staff. We are so pleased with everything. I would highly recommend hosting your event at the Presidio Golf Course & Clubhouse.

My sister had her wedding reception here back in April and we had a wonderful time. First of all the venue is beautiful. The club sits at the top of Arguello Street overlooking the Presidio Golf Course and stellar views of the bay are just across the street.
Our evening starting in the bar area with cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres and a lovely table topped with cheeses, fruits and crackers. Dinner was then held in a tented area on the patio which provided a great view of the golf course but protection from the cold and fog.
Of all the things we loved about the Presidio Golf Club, the food was probably number one. Dinner was salmon or steak and both were phenomenal (trust me, I tried them both!). Everyone was also served at once which was something we were very impressed with. This way everyone was also finished around the same time and could enjoy the rest of the party. One thing to note about the food though is that although you will be served the protein you choose at the tasting, the delivery of the dish could be different. This happened to us. My sister and parents chose a salmon topped with an olive tapenade and served with farro and at the reception we were served a salmon with rice pilaf, veggies and a sauce. It was not what was expected but it was delicious none the less.
The staff was wonderful as well. What I loved most was how attentive they were to our needs. They did a great job making sure everyone had enough to eat and drink and that all of our requests were attended to. My sister (the bride) ended up noticing a few details that were missing (mostly decorations) and once we brought it to the staff’s attention, they were quick to make the fix.
Overall, The Presidio Golf Club is a lovely venue and some place I hope to visit again soon for an event.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here in July, and it was an amazing night! From the delicious food to the gorgeous location, Tracey and her staff made it a seamless and magical night for us. They handled all the details on the day of and were very easy to work with and would meet with us whenever we wanted to touch base about planning the event beforehand. For the all inclusive venue package (venue space, food, drink, coordinator…) it is one great deal. Tracey helped us to get everything we wanted to fit within our budget. On the day of, they threw in some great decorations that added the perfect touch to our vision.
The food and wine were delicious and we received many compliments from the guests about it. One of our favorite perks was the fact that when my husband and I finally got to the reception Tracey and the staff were waiting for us with two glasses of champagne and a sampling of the hors d’oeuvres! Just so we didn’t miss any of it… I know my husband reeeeally appreciated that.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience from day one until the wedding, and we would definitely recommend the venue to anyone looking to host a large event or wedding reception.

The Clubhouse was the perfect place for my husband and I to renew our vows. We first worked with Michelle, but then Tracey took over. They were both SO friendly and SO helpful! My husband and I loved to work with them!
The food was EXCELLENT. All our guests raved about the appetizers, the dinner and all the desserts. Many told us it was the best food at a wedding they’ve ever had!
Both Michelle and Tracey were very accomodating. They constantly asked if we needed anything more or if we wanted to change or move things around. They worked with us to customize a ‘bar package,’ because most of our guests drank alcohol, although my husband and I don’t. Tracey asked me so many questions to get everything PERFECT. I felt like we were old friends!
Both Michelle and Tracey were prompt with emails or calls and always assured me that everything was, «no trouble at all!» They made a stressful day, LESS stressful. Everything went the way we pictured it in our heads. :-)
I would LOVE to hold another event at the Presidio Clubhouse! I definitely recommend it to anyone that asks if I know of any venues!

Tracy at the Presidio Golf Course Clubhouse is absolutely AMAZING. I am super type A, perfectionist and I would say our wedding reception at the clubhouse was as close to perfect as we could ever imagine. Such a beautiful space, excellent food and reasonably priced (it’s all relative, right!!!) considering getting married within the Presidio. The venue, because of the beautiful bar and beautiful beam ceilings really needed minimal decoration which was nice– I just added some flowers and a few small custom things but did not have to spend a lot of extra money to get it wedding reception ready (a stark comparison to other Presidio venues that include nothing!) Tracy was so accommodating with all the little details and really made the process as painless as possible, despite having to plan the whole thing from afar. I would recommend this venue a hundred times over!!!

This place is a complete joke. I went by the Clubhouse and had the «pleasure» of meeting the new chef, Ben, who was so completely rude and short with me that I will never visit this place again. I would assume since this clubhouse has crazy high employee turnover, management would encourage their employees to be nice to guests… no matter who they are. I happen to be someone who plans tons of social events with my personal and professional networks and I will be sure NOT to recommend this place to anyone I know. The F&B Manager seems to change every few months in addition to the chef so if you are planning an event here… beware.

An amazing golf course for downtown San Francisco. Whatever the weather report said — bring a sweater and a jacket. If they don’t get enough money for the golf they will when you have to purchase extra layers. Very pretty course when the fog goes away, no flat lies even when you are in the middle of the fairway. You hit the little restaurant 3 times get a coffee and a hot dog they are well worth it. Enjoy

Decent venue for receptions! I attended a large birthday party here recently, with light food and an open bar. The bar list of included drinks reminded me of an ingredient list for a Long Island Iced Tea, so that’s what I went for. I got a very strong drink, I approve!
The food selection was extremely limited: Cheese/​fruit/​veggies/​crackers before the main meal, and then two carving stations which literally had nothing but one type of meat, mustard and some plain bread rolls. I found that a bit weird. But I supposed you get what your order when you get this place to cater.
The indoor area is well decorated and has an ‘old world luxury’ feel. The outdoor area is a little underwhelming, being a regular tent with not much to dress it up. During the day I’m sure the ground are beautiful though. At night I didn’t have a chance to see them, but maybe next time?

Always friendly and accommodating staff. I’ve come here sometimes just for a beer and no golf. And good beer at that (great selection). What a 19^th hole should be.

We got married at the Golf Course in October 2012 and couldn’t be happier with our decision. Michele (the wedding coordinator at the venue) is a dream to work with. She responds to emails quickly, gives suggestions and always has the couple in mind.
The venue has multiple options for food & beverage, making it easier to find a price point of your liking. You can do a full service meal, or just appetizers and drinks. We did a full dinner buffet and our guests raved about the food, drinks and service at the wedding.
We also had our ceremony on the lawn outside of the clubhouse and they did a beautiful job of setting everything up. Michele has an eye for weddings, and when she sets up each wedding it looks beautiful. Ours was just as we envisioned it when talking with her in our pre-​meetings. She made sure the day ran smoothly and without a hitch so my husband and I got to enjoy every moment of our big day.
Like others have written, it was a great experience. Michele makes the day stress-​free and enjoyable for the bride & groom!

We chose the Presidio Golfcourse Clubhouse for our wedding reception and were extremely satisfied with the service provided by Michele and her staff. We really wanted a place that wouldn’t require too much extra work on our part — the Presidio Golfcourse Clubhouse was wonderful in that the site would provide tables, chairs, settings, drinks, food, and even a cake if needed. This made for significantly less work for us.
Michele the coordinator was amazing — punctual, professional, upbeat, patient, accommodating, and a wonderful communicator. She and her staff performed wonderfully. Set up went without a hitch, service was excellent, and the food was also very good. I distinctly remember a moment where our iPod jockey needed to start the music, but he was nowhere to be found. Michele discretely went up to the iPod herself and started the music.
If you want a reasonably priced venue that looks nice, has great scenery, and excellent staff, look no further!

We couldn’t have asked for anything more on our Wedding Day! Living in the neighborhood, we knew the venue was beautiful from the beginning, but Michele and the rest of the staff were fantastic! Michele went above and beyond and she’s so much fun to be around. The food was phenomenal, the wine selections are great and the prices were extremely reasonable. I could go on and on…
If you are looking for the perfect hybrid between an all-​inclusive and an a-​la-​carte option for your wedding venue, with a beautiful location, AND an on-​site event coordinator, this is the place to go! The golf course provided all the tables, chairs, linens, place settings, food, alcohol, dance floor, lighting, and a stretch-​limo-​golf-​cart for shuttling the wedding party around for pictures. If they don’t have it, they will coordinate the order and delivery of whatever you need.
Again, all of this for very reasonable and competitive prices for the area!
