Ten points. Si querés zafar de Starbucks, este cofee está por casi todos lados también y los precios son similares. No te podés perder por nada del mundo su Cheese Danish. La gloria de las delicias

Avoid this place at all costs. It’s dirty and run down. The owner could care less about it. The clerks ignore you for their own very personal conversation.

Coffee Bean is by far my favorite coffee/tea chain, hands down. I’d give the company as a whole five stars. This particular location gets four, though. As with most places along Market, this location is definitely meant for walkers — can’t imagine someone would drive specifically to this location because parking would be a nightmare. Great for if you’re in the neighborhood and want something other than Peet’s or Starbucks. I’m sure it has its busy times, but every time I go there’s no real line and/or it moves quickly. It’s a good-sized space, but even on off-hours, all the seating seems to be taken. The bathroom(which is usually pretty disgusting) requires a code, which changes frequently. The baristas are friendly, although they get kinda pissed when I tell them I have a gift card code because they have no scanner and have to manually type it in. Oh, the humanity. Coffee Bean makes my favorite chai tea latte(well, by a chain) and they offer almond coconut milk, which is awesome. Starbucks has coconut milk now, which is nice, but I still prefer CB. Overall, I’d rather go to this particular Coffee Bean over a slightly nicer Starbucks of Peet’s. I really wish they’d bring CB to the Sacramento/Davis/Vacaville/Fairfield area — although they did open one up last year in Walnut Creek, so there’s hope!

I looked forward to coming here since it’s the closest one to me, but awful customer service this time around! Just awful…

I ordered a chamomile-flavored tea. It saved me from getting sick. I went here after getting drenched in a storm and poured a ton of extra honey in my cup. I’m not a huge tea enthusiast so I was not super thrilled by the place.

I just watched an employee use his cleaning rag on the floor with his foot and then proceed to wipe down the table tops and counter with the SAME rag!!! TRAININGISESSENTIAL!!!

This Location i wasnt very impressed with. maybe i went on a very bad day or a very draining busy day but, being in sf only once in a blue moon the odds of getting a service to its least efforts is very upsetting. My blended cookie butter didnt have whip cream when i specifically asked for extra and my cousins red velvet hot chocolate was super bland so they had to ask for them to put some more sugar or whatever it is that they shoulda done to make it taste like how it actually tastes like. I get it it holidays, everyday is a nightmare. maybe it was just a bad night to come here. im hoping every other day is excellent.

Located right in the heart of the shopping district by Westfield Mall. It’s across from Starbucks, shorter line than Starbucks, better prices than Starbucks. You’re on your way now, right? I recommend the hazelnut latte, but they had quite a wide range of flavors(was super intrigued by the dark chocolate ones!) and teas. The service was fast, and the self-service milk & sugar area was very clean. Spacious place with plenty of tables to set up shop(though there were no seats open at 11:30).

Anything that isn’t that overpriced overhyped under quality Starbucks is welcomed. Got my late night coffee here and sat at a table outside watching the night owls wander around the city.

9⁄19 around noon I came to get an iced mocha with my boyfriend. While we were waiting for our drinks, a man sees his drink being made and talked to the barista cause he had asked for no milk and said«I asked for no milk but it’s okay» the lady making the drink is still pouring the milk and snaps at him«this is how we make it» without apologizing that the drink was not made to modify the customers taste, she does nothing to be apologetic about it. I was so shocked by how the worker was screaming from the top of her lungs«BYEBYEBYEBYE» to shut the CUSTOMER up?! Basically kicked him out. This obviously caused a scandalous scene for everyone to look. Even her coworkers eyes widened from shock. I felt so bad because the man was shaking from stress! Respect your elders, damn! I believe that this café needs to check in with the staff. The quality control here is down the drain, from customer service, to the cleanliness of the café… This was by far the worst customer service I have ever seen… Please hire a better, mature, controlled staff!

These stores are pretty standard, but after 4 visits I have to say this is the one is pretty confused. It may be a training location and that would be fine if they let us know. This one is always near my hotel and it’s always the same. I get that it’s busy, but they need to train the folks a little better to live up to all the other ones in the city.

Ice blends are great, but two stars for this location because the bathroom is absolutely disgusting, and the restaurant had flies everywhere. Clean up a little, please.

I was roaming around downtown in search of caffeine. When I realized I had a Coffee bean gift card, I dropped by. It was Wednesday, August 5th around 1:30pm. The original vanilla ice blended drink, No sugar added(NSA) powder($ 4.39 reg), add Espresso shot(+$ 0.80): made from coffee extract and French Deluxe vanilla powder and milk, blended with ice(no whipped cream) About 10 years(?) ago, I used to get vanilla blendeds all the time. While waiting in line, I decided to revisit my youth. I recently had one at the airport in Vegas and thought it was too sweet, so I decided to add an extra shot. This worked a little. And though I added more shots when I got back to the office(from our Nespresso maker), I was brought back to my younger self. When I liked a cup of coffee with 2 creams and sugars.(I totally can’t do that anymore. Black coffee please?!) It was fun. Kinda like drinking an icy coffee milkshake. They have seating both inside and out. While there I couldn’t find any, so I just left. I wish they provided more seating inside as the whole space on the right side of the store is empty except for a table with chargers. It’d be nice to be able to sit at the table. But maybe they intended it that way so people wouldn’t hang out? Plus, I also noticed some small tables without chairs. Maybe they should provide more chairs for their café tables? Cute coffee bean location and a nice size. I just wish there was more seating.

Coffee in America is not impressive. Yes, you are good at a lot of things but coffee isn’t one of them. If you have been to Europe, South America or Asia you are probably a coffee snob, spoiled with amazing grains and great baristas. Well I was not happy with my cappuccino here, it took about 7 minutes to get ready and it tasted burned and watery. Service wasn’t any different than the coffee. I probably received more smiles in a London tube from strangers than I did here by any of the staff members. Cookie was ok, but I don’t think I would spend 5 dollars here for a terrible coffee and an OK snack again.

Epic fail… cashier was inept. Had to repeat the order multiple times and he struggled with the cash register. Baristas looked like unhappiness personified. Coffee and chai tasted DISGUSTING. Threw the drinks out and went across the street to Starbucks.

Meh. I’m the first to admit that I’m not a coffee connoisseur. I get a craving once every couple of months and usually want an iced something(iced white mocha or iced mocha) and would add tapioca pearls to it if I could — that’s how much of a connoisseur I’m not. But when I have a craving, I want it to be worth the calories and I want it to be in a spot that says«come in. .. you are welcomed here,.. . unwind. .. relax in this big comfy chair and sip your worries away.» Well, this place didn’t do it for me. From the cashier to the barista, the service here was rushed but didn’t feel rude until I got to the barista. I can’t place my finger on it(maybe it was the eye roll and body language) but in the 1 second interaction I had with her, she still managed to leave me with a «take your coffee and F off» feeling — and all I was trying to do was confirm that I was taking the right coffee from the line of sloppy coffees that was building up in front of her. But I wasn’t too annoyed given she was crazy busy. That is, not until I drank my coffee. Did she have to serve me a cup of mocha in a wet cup(outside had coffee all over it) with visible bean debris in a cup of mostly ice with only a dash of VERY watered down coffee? Did she really? I mean, the cup was so filled with ice that I finished my coffee in 2 sips yet the little I had still tasted like water. Bummer. What’s hilarious about the whole thing is, while I was at the napkin station, trying to wipe down my cup and sticky hands, I saw a guy take a sip of his coffee before asking me if there’s a Peet’s Coffee nearby. This HAD to be an off night because I can’t imagine any coffee shop getting repeat business from my experience but I’m going to be lenient and give this place 3 stars even though my experience felt lower.

Eh. I stopped in because I found myself wide awake and in need of coffee and a little something due to my body thinking I was still in Florida. This was the closest café to my hotel that was open so I headed over. I ordered a small mocha with soy milk and a chocolate croissant. The girl working the register had an attitude that made me feel like I was bothering her(apparently around here asking if a place has soy milk is stupid) and the guy making the drinks seemed much more concerned with flirting with the customer ahead of me then making drinks(there were a few other people waiting as well). That said, my drink was really good, as was the croissant. With so many little cafes around, I didn’t bother to stop in here for the rest of my time in town.

I was told by many people on Unilocal that I go to too many Starbucks and that I needed to try a The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Being from New Orleans, we were excited to find café au lait. My sister got one and it was nasty. Café au laits are supposed to be sweetened! Even after adding some sweetener it was still inedible. However, I got the Mexican hot chocolate and it was super yummy! Mom got an iced tea, and like Starbucks, they do not provide fresh lemon. Mom and sis needed to go to the restroom but the line was about four deep and there wasn’t anywhere to sit to wait.

Their Sugar-Free /Fat-Free Chocolate Powder Is Manna From Heaven SITREP We all have our ADDICTIONS, and this is one of the few vices I will allow myself. And this Chocolate powder is what I use to make my mochas at work and/or at home. THESETUP So that’s pretty much only one reason why I stop by in here, and that’s to obtain one or two canisters of their Sugar-Free /Fat-Free Chocolate Powder: It’s nice when you are trying to track dietary restrictions that certain products are available in important categories in your life. In this instant, cutting out sugar and cutting down on fat are important considerations. With this version of Chocolate from Coffee Bean, I can virtually have my cake AND eat it too. *NICE!* ;) TRAVELLOGISTICS This chocolate is my crack. But I can’t find it at any Starbucks near where I live. The Peets just 4 blocks away from my front door, doesn’t have a sugar-free/fat-free chocolate powder either. And unfortunately, there is not a Coffee Bean within 90 miles of Sacramento. The nearest one is here on Market Street in San Francisco. There is also another outlet further/deeper into San Francisco. CLUBBINGFORCHOCOLATE Sometimes I’m not really in the mood to travel down to SF to go clubbing on a Friday night… BUT…if I am nearly out of this chocolate crack, I’l *suck it up*, carpool with friends, and make a trek to this outlet(it closes at 10:30pm, so luckily I have time after we get into SF) to grab 2 canisters(even only 1 if that’s all they have in stock) and call it a «win» for the night, and be set for the next 3 – 4 weeks with my Mochas. COMBINATIONS When added to a house brew I’ve picked up from INSIGHT Coffee(8th& S) on the way into work, or my neighborhood Starbucks(19th& H) where I will pick up a Veranda Blonde Clover, it is DYNAMITE! But I have to admit, this chocolate does wonders to even perk up the *crappy* FOLGERS people bring in for the Coffee Club.(Really? I bring in fresh ground Starbucks and another colleague brings in INSIGHT or PEETS, and the majority bring in FOLGERS?!?) *Pffffft* THELOWDOWN The Best Chocolate Powder on the Face of the Planet!

Checked out The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf since I was in SF Fri 11÷21÷14. My friend told me her favorite tea was Winter Dream Tea — a seasonal tea that I have been meaning to buy, but it’s expensive so put it off. This yr I decided to just buy it and see what I think. It’s a 20 bag tin for $ 8.95. They have mini tea tins like 5 for $ 3.95 but cashier said they didn’t have it. Charged it. Asked if they have any deals if I bought it, cashier said I could get a FREE drink. I picked Toffee Nut Ice Blended — maybe I wasn’t suppose to get it, it was drama to get it. The drink I asked for No Whipped Cream, that was fine, drink was Too Sweet. They have a communal table w/charging station. I didn’t use the charging station, but it’s nice to know it’s there. One unisex bathroom think you need a code to use or just wait until someone comes out.
