Super cool and historic venue! My little sister happened to be on crutches when we went to go see a show and they totally took care of her. They gave us a disabled table and took us around the side to catch an elevator. Call in advance if you have a disabled person in your party to ensure that you get a table because there were only 2 left when we got there.

I LOVETHISVENUE. One of my favorite places to catch a show in the city. The Fillmore is a must if you’re an avid concert goer. The venue is larger than The Independent, but smaller than The Regency Ballroom. It’s a solid mid-sized venue and it’s SOFREAKINGORGEOUS. Seriously. The architecture here is beautiful and the layout is pretty great. There are stairs that lead up from the front entrance to the main level. The merch tables are in a side room from the stage, along with a full bar. I really like the sound quality at this venue. The last show I went to wasn’t sold out so I was able to get to the front pretty easily. You can feel the vibrations of everyone jumping and dancing, as if the floor is bouncing with you LOL. It’s a cool feeling. Not sure if that’s at every show or if everyone at this show was just that enthusiastic about the jumping. There’s a fence around the front of the stage so you can’t get RIGHTUP on the stage, but you’re pretty much there if you’re in the front row. Also, if you’re attending a sold out show, they usually give you a complimentary tour poster at the end of the show. And of course, they’ve got free apples in a basket in the front lobby area after you walk up the stairs. The parking situation isn’t too bad. There’s a Safeway lot about two or three blocks away that I usually park at. Overall, such a cool venue for shows — not too large of a venue so you still get that intimate atmosphere.

We love this place. The entry process is super organized as is the exit. They have enough restroom stalls so the wait isn’t usually too bad thigh though every music venue could use more. There are plenty of bars to order drinks and lots of tables and chairs for sitting if you don’t feel like standing. One of the best things about The Fillmore besides the sound and general layout of the place, is the variety of food options available running from Quinoa and Asparagus Salad, Grilled Fish Tacos, and Burgers so you can grab drinks, food and a show all at once. The food is decent too! On this last visit, we had the Grilled Fish Tacos and Artichoke Dip and both were delicious and it came out pretty quickly. There’s so much history at this place. Just checking out the posters of all the bands who have played there is fun. The dance floor is the right size so that you can feel close to the stage no matter where you are and you can just let the music flow through you and get down with your bad self.

Hands down one of the coolest concert venues in the country. The walls are lined with old concert posters and the whole place has a retro days gone by vibe. The place is practically lined with bars, so getting a drink is easy and you don’t even have to leave the bar to watch the show. We love sitting upstairs especially if we’re there early enough to snag a seat right by the railing. Best view in the house.

Had a great time except the fact that me and my fifteen year old daughter were treated so badly by a member of your staff I’m actually thinking of filing a complaint with the venue. We saw a show on 4÷17÷16 waited hours to get first row because it’s my daughters favorite band, we also travelled from Portland so this was a very special night. After we entered everyone was very friendly and said, «hi, welcome to the fillmore» as we entered so I just assumed that everyone was friendly. So we get to the front right on the side barricade, happy as clams I smile at the security guard or whatever you call him and say«hi, how are you?» He then looks at me and tells me not to talk him or ask him anything and that I should keep my emotions to myself and if I do look towards him I will be removed. Wow! Way to feel welcomed. Then while watching the performance he stands right in front of us staring both me and my daughter down with a mean look on his face? I was notified that we can take pictures but no video. We agree but yet every time we try to take pics he tells us to stop. At one point even yelling in the face of my daughter(who is 15) mind you and never been yelled at by a grown man that if she doesn’t stop that he will forcefully take her out. I’m not okay with that. I’m sorry but this guy who’s name I found out later is Josh seemed like he didn’t get his fix of junk that day and was mad about it. He was sweating and seemed to have problems even keeping his eyes open. All the rest of the staff that night were amazing, the waitress(beautiful black girl) was just as friendly and efficient as could be and so seemed the rest of the stage hands. I will let people know about this and also question attending again. Meanwhile, I see on YouTube tons of videos of this event? So is it okay for some but not others?

Saw Hendrix live here 1979. He descended from high atop center stage wearing cochinos on him pantolnes and a black cape. He whipped out his modified tele and played it drink an extended version of third stone from the sun. He then dry humped his fender and squirted it with lighter fluid, flicking lite matches on it in a highly provocative display. What a showman this man was.

What can you say about The Fillmore that hasn’t been said before? It’s a San Francisco institution steeped in rich, music history. Everyone from the Grateful Dead to Janis Joplin to Tom Petty have rocked the house here. I came here recently for an Anders Osborne concert(which kicked major ass, btw). There was no long line to get in. The support staff was super friendly(everyone from the bouncers to the bartenders). The sound/acoustics were top-notch. There was a lively vibe throughout and a very distinctive«herbal» aroma in the audience. Plus, they offer free apples in the lobby(random, but cool!). If you live in the Bay Area, catching a show at The Fillmore needs to be on your Bucket List.

I recently went to a show for toddlers called OzoKids. It was so much fun! Kids were singing the songs, tons of balloons and the musicians went through the crowd playing instruments. Definitely put it on your calendar if you have a 2 – 10 year old.

I’ve been here twice, once in 2014 to see The 1975 and once in 2015 to see Halsey. The venue itself has really high ceilings and architecture. Eye appealing. The two shows I was in the middle of the crowd and it was a little difficult to see, given how tall I was. A lot of people had to get pulled from the crowd because fainting or dehydration which was unfortunate. But security was able to get them out promptly. I’ve parked at the parking structure across the street which was $ 12 from 6PM til 10PM. Both times the venue has given out custom designed art posters for the show. Pretty great.

I’ve been to The Fillmore three times now, and all three times were excellent experiences. The room is a good size so there’s really not a bad vantage point. Kelle and I have our favorite spot to stand because it’s an area that’s always open(even when we arrive and the main act is already playing) and offers an excellent view. No, I’m not going to share ;-) The three shows I’ve been to were all very different in genre(Courtney Barnett, Blind Guardian, and Daughter) yet the FOH sound was excellent all three times — not too loud, mixed well, and very well equalized for the space. A really nice spiff is if a show sells out everyone gets a free concert poster on their way out, though you have to stay until the very end to get the poster. I also appreciate that shows during the week are(typically) wrapped up by 11:00 so I’m not getting home super late on a work night. Yeah, yeah, I’m old. Get off my lawn! Do yourself a favor and go see a show at this legendary venue.

Came here to see Guster and really enjoyed it! I LOVE that there are apples out during the show, and they were pretty darn good! A perfect treat for a late night walk home. Overall it was easy to get around, especially on the floor. We were traveling as a pair and found it easy to navigate through the crowd and find good spots despite being pretty short. Really neat place, recommend checking out.

A justifiably famous venue. I was just back for the first time since high school and it still inspires that sense of history that 16 year old Misha was taken by. You know the names of the folks who have played here, and something about their essence still lingers. The upstairs poster room is dope too.

I love this venue! It reminds me of my good punk-rock high school days! When I was younger, I would fight my way in the crowd to be in the front. Nowadays I just hangout by the bar and get drunk. What I like about this place is that it’s well ventilated. I hate being at a concert and feeling everyone’s body heat and getting sweating without dancing! Also, there are a good amount of stalls for you ladies! Apples are complimentary. and sometimes they give out free posters! :) Some advice. Drinks are expensive. I would recommend hitting up a bar beforehand or if you would just like one beer, then $ 9 isn’t too bad. Water is provided at the bar so make sure to get some to keep hydrated! Other than that. The Fillmore is great!

Yo. This venue hates cyclists. Anyone trying to lock up their bike near the venue is harassed by bouncers and told to lock up at a completely unlit bike rack in front of a completely different building that is, location-wise, a bike thief’s wet dream. If the Fillmore really cared about being a good citizen, they would install a bike rack near their own property in a well-lit space. And at the very least they would treat their patrons like adults instead of combatants, & not hire dudes the size the refrigerators to get in people’s face & scream at them over a perfectly reasonable concern.

Saw Beach House here on Friday the 18th. there were a lot of singles there mostly dudes. very crowded near the front and no one really danced up up there so it was really awkward but it’s cool cause I just kinda bobbed my head and was in my own world like a few others around me

My favorite concert venue of all time. With all the history surrounding this venue, it just feels ~special~, you know? I’ve honestly never seen a bad show here… decent beer selection on tap(plus full bar), reasonably priced coat check, free apples and unique concert posters when you exit. All the people who work here are genuinely HAPPY to be here experiencing it with you. Beach House 12.17.15 — PHENOMENAL. Even with tech issues Victoria Legrand brought her sensational sense of humor to keep our spirits up as they fixed the issues. Alex Scally tearing up the stage with face-melting chords. The f*&%ing bass nearly blew my eardrums and the roof off and it was pure magic. Brain melt. *sigh* Lord Huron(2⁄2014) and The Temper Trap(3⁄2010) were also my personal favorites. It is a madhouse leaving, but I’m still riding that post-concert high into the next day. Definitely see a show here at least once in your life.

I have always heard of this venue but never had a reason to visit the place so when I got invited to see the performer Lights, not only was I excited to see her but I was also excited to see this place that I have heard so many good things about! I will start off by saying that place is semi hard to find and when you look it up on Google maps, they aren’t very specific at all when it comes to location. The way that I found it was from the tour buses right outside the door, so it was impossible for me to find. On to the actual place instead is very nice and almost like you are inside someone’s house. It has a very vintage feel to it but cozy and semi gothic at the same time. You can tell that this place has been around for awhile and has had many entertaining for its time. There are two floors, one with the main stage and huge open concept and a second floor with balconies to get a panorama view of the place, so from where you are, you are bound to see a good show! Parking here can get rather tricky since the place is located right downtown and there are plenty of places to go and see around the Fillmore. Thankfully there are parking garages near walking distance from the area which makes for a much better experience here. I hope to be back at this venue as it is truly something unique!

This is still one of my favourite places to see bands. Legendary. Excellent sound. Friendly staff. I was at the barricade when I was here in October to see Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls. The show was one of the best I’ve seen in my life and I’ve seen hundreds maybe thousands of bands. Do yourself a favour, if an artist you like is playing here, go! Even if you have to go by yourself. They also give out posters if the show is sold out. I thought they’d run out by the time I made my way outside but alas, I still got one. I recommend parking near Japantown in one of the garages or on the street. The floor is so sticky by the end of the night but that’s expected when there’s booze and music.

Five stars for The Fillmore! As a recent Bay Area transplant I was jonesing to get here and so happy I finally made it. Not much more I can say than the other 1000 reviews, but if you have an opportunity to check out a show here, DOIT! This legendary music venue is part of our nation’s musical history and it still exudes it! The acoustics are great, it’s intimate, yet can handle a crowd, the chandeliers, the stage; everything about this place makes me happy. Drinks are about $ 9-$ 10, which yes, it is outrageous, but that’s how the world works in this day and age. And yes, Live Nation kills ya with the fees, but again, that’s life. They have a separate poster room for food, so if ya get the hunger pains mid-show, they got you. I didn’t indulge so I can’t speak for the food, but definitely go and take a look at the hundreds of music posters. Free apples on the way out and a decent amount of bathroom stalls for the ladies? Why, thank you very much. I’ll be back fo’ mo’, fo’ sho’!

The Fillmore has a rich history dating back to its opening in 1912 having operated as a dance hall, roller rink, music venue, private club and back to its current operations as a music venue. Compared to Slims and The Independent in the City, the Fillmore is the largest of the three small concert venues. This past week, I was here for my second concert, this time for Jessie J. Waiting in line for entrance, the doors opened at 7pm for the 8pm concert. A security and bag check, ticket scan and ID check for drinks and we made our way up to the venue on the second floor. The stage is on one end of the room and the bar was on the opposite end. They sell food on the balcony level as well. We were about eight deep center stage and got a great vantage point. Jessie J. started at 8:35 and gave a great high energy concert. Got the audience dancing and bouncing so much that we felt the floor shaking. Also, since it was a sold out concert, everyone got a commemorative Jessie J at The Fillmore poster. Overall, great concert venue to be up close to the performers.
