The Movement

I have never been so motivated since I join Zumba. With Willa, my lovely instructor gave an easy steps that even my daughter can do it on her own just by watching her move in the front. I love the music from hip hop to salsa. Never miss the session with my family. Recommended for all ages, I encourage everyone to join not just for the fun of dancing but also to meet new friends. The BAO park in Chinatown, is also perfect location because I can see my son playing with other kids while I am on a work out with my daughter. Thank you for Willa and Zumba because I have lost more than 10 lbs already since I join in last Aug. Working out with my whole family is so much fun.

Willa is an AMAZING instructor! I’ve taken many a Zumba class, as well as many dance classes (hip hop, ballet, etc.) for many years. Her class really is for anybody, and everybody! Since she’s a dancer herself, she’s able to explain all her movements and routines clearly and succinctly, and also gives variations for people looking for more of a challenge.
Her classes consist mostly of hip-​hop, with a healthy does of Latin and Zumba moves mixed in. I’m definitely dripping in sweat when I’m done with one of her 60 minute classes. She’s super fun, enthusiastic, and takes the time to get to know everyone who comes to class. Who could ask for more? I’ll end this review by saying, as Willa does at the end of each class, «Rock on!»

I love Willa’s Zumba class! Willa is the spunky, peppy, motivational person you wish you had the energy to be. I’ve taken other Zumba classes over the years, and Willa’s class is one of my favorites because she uses a wide variety of music and dance styles. Whereas some of my past instructors were better at some types of dance than others, Willa is good at all of them and soon you will be too :) I also go to her free class on Saturdays at noon at Margaret Hayward Playground… I think these are happening throughout this and next month.

I’ve been doing Zumba for a few years with many instructors, and Willa is objectively the most energetic, fun, and all around awesome instructor I have had. She keeps the pace of class fast, with a great mix of movements and upbeat Zumba songs as well as top 40. At the Y, she gets the whole class smiling and moving, everyone from 60-​year old ladies to teens, men and women. She is AWESOME and you should check out her class!

I had an amazing time at Willa’s zumba class! She is very enthusiastic, friendly, and motivating. The music was great and the choreography was fun, and I left the class feeling like I got a great workout and had a lot of fun in the process. I will definitely be going back!

Willa’s zumba class was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done, exercise or non-​exercise. I was a little apprehensive about doing zumba, because it was my first time, but Willa made me feel incredibly comfortable, and I had an absolute blast for my first time with zumba! The music was great, the workout was at a good level of intensity, and Willa’s enthusiasm and energy is absolutely infectious — I couldn’t stop smiling for most of the class and I just had such a fun time. The class certainly made my day!
Accessible to people of any fitness level or zumba experience. Just be prepared to break a sweat and walk out beaming!

Willa is one of the most fun, energetic, helpful, EXCITING Zumba instructors I’ve had! Not only is she fun to watch (she looks like she is having so much fun!), she encourages you to leave your troubles at the door and Zumba your heart out, as best you can, no matter your ability! I don’t feel self-​conscious at her classes, and afterwards I always feel like I’ve had a great workout. Plus, her music is great! A good mix of Latin, pop, hip-​hop — even the Willa classic, a song from Happy Feet! I wish I lived in the same city so I could take her classes. If you’re new to Zumba, you can feel comfortable in Willa’s class, and if you’re a pro, you can definitely strut your stuff! She mixes the easy with the challenging so you’re always learning something new, no matter your level. Try it! You’ll have some great new dance moves, a big smile on your face, a healthier body, and some new friends! :)

I had a blast at Willa’s Zumba class. Willa has so much energy and enthusiasm for what she’s doing, and it’s contagious. Plus it was a really good workout! I may need to go more often, because some of the routines had me totally winded. :) All in all, a really fun way to get some exercise with a great group of people.

So I admit, I was a skeptic of Zuumba at first, but my instructor Willa totally changed my mind! Not only was it a great workout, it was also a great stress-​buster! Willa was super enthusiastic, energetic and helpful in accommodating the multiple skill-​levels in the class. Plus, she picks great music! Will definitely be back

I have been to good Zuumba classes on the East coast in New York City and Willa’s classes far exceeded expectation and I I thoroughly enjoyed my self in her class. She gives great cues and dance moves (she told me she is also really into hip hop dance, which makes sense why her moves looks not only fun but also so sassy). The class had a great pace of intense fast to mellow/​stretchy slow music and I loved how she is so in tune with how the class is doing all the time and would know how to pace by that. Despite of the wide range of age group being present, I felt like I got such a fantastic workout in every part of my body. Definitely going to be a frequent there!
