The Speechies

My 4yr old son had a lisp November 2014. After 4 sessions with Erika and lots of «homework» with him– his lisp is barely noticable. Erika came to our house and she let us watch her sessions so we were able to practice with our son when she was not there. My son LOVED to see Erika to «play» with her. She made him practice a few «S» words and let him play fishing or froggy games. She even let us borrow her «turtles» for a few weeks so we could play with them (while he continued to practice his «S» with the turtles). Erika loves her job and it shows. She is always jovial and helpful. She is so knowledgable and has so many ideas how to engage the kids that it just seems like play to them. I would highly recommend Erika for speech therapy.

Our daughter has thrived under Erika’s therapy sessions over the last year and a half. We first met Erika at Day One in San Francisco and attended a six week class. My husband and I were so impressed with her advice, guidance, knowledge, and genuine care for all the children in her class that we hired Erika for weekly consulting/​therapy sessions for our Daughter. She taught us (first time parents) how to conduct structured play, promote gestures to communicate with our daughter, and eventually helped our daughter build out a vocabulary.
Erika is as good as it gets when it comes to speech therapy. We highly recommend her and if you seek out her instruction– you won’t be disappointed!
