As usual Therapy delivers with their outstanding customer service. I had a dining room table delivered to the San Francisco store for pick up, and had a chance to work through the normally frustrating experience with the guys at the register. Thankfully Marcus was there to help and made everything as smooth as it can get. Thanks Marcus and the rest of the Therapy team.

I stroll on Valencia every time I visit SF. Found this store during my last visit. I spent hours in that store. Their collection is on point. The staff gave great recommendations based on what I picked. The cashier spotted a hole on my dress right before I was gonna pay and he immediately showed me and gave me 25% off. I’m very happy with my experience!

I love to stop in here and look around after brunch in the hood, as their stock is changing constantly. They have fun unique items, sometimes some are a little pricey, but usually about normal for SF. They used to have men’s clothing, but last time I was in there I don’t recall seeing any… just hats for men.

Really loved this boutique until last week.
I bought a necklace during the 40% off sale and was super excited about my new piece until I got home. The second I took the Kitch necklace out of the box I knew I would hate it. It was an awkward length that laid right in between my boobs. I was hoping I could go back to the store the next day to exchange it for something a little more my taste but when I asked the woman at the counter she immediately told me all sale items are final sale. Not one single sales associate notified me about this when I made my purchases the night before. If I knew this were the case then I would have made it a point to take the necklace out and thoroughly check it before I made my purchase. Not only that but I also saw about 20 of the same necklaces I purchased on the jewelry counter and yet still no exchange allowed. If you do not inform a customer about your changed return policy then it is your fault not the customers. That’s all. There would have been no issue from the get go if someone had just let me know before I made my purchases. Easy as that.

I love this shop! Whenever I’m free, I went there to enjoy shopping some stuff. Especially, when I’m going to buy something for a friend. They have good people who will take care of you. And there is also a nearby cafeteria. You have to check this out.

I usually shop at the Campbell, California location, and I buy all my purses from this store. I had purchased a small black cross body bag last month. My fav little purse ever. but last night I was in SF with some friends and somehow the strap broke! Luckily I was able to fix it enough to last the night. We happened to be in the area and I look and I see this location! I ran in real quick just to see if there was anything they could do, it was a long shot. The manager on duty was so amazing. I obviously didn’t have a receipt with me, but she was able to exchange my purse for the same one but brown (which is actually so much cuter haha)!! I was almost in tears with the amount of kindness and service. They are amazing!
I will definitely always continue to shop at this store because they were so quick to help out a customer. The best ever!

I’ve found some really unique things here that are very cute. Reasonably priced too. I’ve always have had helpful staff at the North Beach location and in the Mission. Great selection of hats, purses, and sunglasses. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Amazing service and a great selection of super cute clothes, accessories and gift items. And not pricey either, for great pieces. I will be back for sure!

I could probably spend hours in Therapy. If not for that pesky problem of having a thin wallet, I definitely would.
Therapy was packed to the gills on a recent Sunday. A saleswoman greeted me like a new friend. She probably would have kept talking to me but I’m awkward at small talk and kind of wandered away.
It’s so much fun to browse the items for sale which include a lot of home goods and present-​type items, as well as clothing at reasonable prices.
I picked up this darling tea towel with a map of SF on it, intending for it to be a wedding gift though it may have to end up living in my home instead. Ahem.
It’s probably for the best I don’t live near a Therapy location since I would be buying way too many «gifts» for other «people» and garments for myself!

I have been to many places similar to therapy in style and type of gifts and items they carry. I loved this place the best. They have gifts for every body all year round and all occasions.
The employees were exceptional, helpful and not overbearing. Usually when I go into stores similar to Therapy — the staff is usually very yuppie and pompous and depending on how threatening you look they either follow you around the store or they don’t even acknowledge you.
The prices are VERY DECENT. I’ve been into other stores where the same item is 50% more than what I have found there. So Kudo’s to Therepy for selling great quality products and not seeing how much you can get over on your customers.

So im literally standing in front of your store at 8:34pm and your website says you’re open till 9pm yet you have your closed sign up. RUDEEEEEE

Therapy is hands down my favorite small boutique store. I even introduced it to a friend and she ended up working there cause she loved it too!
This particular location is always busy in the Mission and I am super sad to see that they closed their furniture store next door– probably due to some crazy rent increase.
I know no matter what I need– whether it’s a dress for a party or some funky gifts for friends, that I’ll be able to find something here. Also, if they don’t have it in your size, they’ll find it at another location and bring it in with no commitment. Talk about great customer service!

Therapy has an impressive array of cardigans. Seriously, that’s my favorite aspect of this shop, and there’s quite a bit to like about it. I think I’ve bought at least half a dozen cardigans here over the years.
Aside from this random attribute, I can report that:
1) Therapy carries Hobo handbags. Yummy colors, beautiful leather (I’m a bad vegetarian, sorry).
2) They have cool socks! I bought a comic book-​themed pair the other day.
3) They have fun, random gifts of the stocking-​stuffer variety.
4) The clothing overall is somewhat varied in style, and I typically don’t like much of it. However, the cardigans make up for that!
5) They have an excellent name. Retail therapy, indeed.
I’ve made Therapy a routine stop when I’m shopping in the Mission, and foresee many future cardigans purchased here.

Such a cute little store, bigger and better than the one in North Beach IMO. Great sarcastic small gifts, delicious-​smelling candles, cute jewelry and clothing, etc. Reasonably priced. At the end of summer, I got an Alternative Apparel maxi skirt for around $ 25, and two cute belts for about $ 5 each. Great for walking around if you have some extra time in the area waiting for a restaurant or something.

Cute boutique! I was so amused just browsing through everything. Their clothing and accessory selections are great. Everything is super cute in here. It’s also a great place to find a cute gift or gag gift.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They helped me try on a few watches and they offered great advice on the different brands and styles. I can’t wait to come back here. I’m still thinking about that watch I tried on… :)

Pro tip: No matter how ambiguously lettered their chalkboard sign might be, this store is in fact not named The Rapy. It took us many more seconds to determine this than it should, and I’d like to save you the embarrassment.
Once that was settled, my group sauntered in and was pretty much instantly blown away by all of the concentrated awesome within their four walls. I had bought a home like RIGHT before our visit, and was mentally decorating it with their wares, resigning myself to the idea that I could never afford anything in this incredibly well-​curated SF boutique.
NOPE!
The price points were shockingly low! People with regular jobs can shop here and have nice apartments! Color me pleasantly surprised.
Now it’s been a minute since I’ve visited, and I don’t want to talk up merch that is no longer there, but I will say that I’ll be checking out Therapy on any and all return visits to SF.

This is one of my favorite little shops to browse in when I’m in the Mission! Cute kitschy knickknacks, a lovely selection of Voluspa candles, funny quirky cards for every occasion, SHOES!, purses, CLOTHES! (both men & women), baby items jewelery, sunglasses and Nixon watches.
I have found great gifts for people here, and yanno… well sometimes I don’t need gifts for others. I just want things for my own damn self. hah!
The staff is great, they are always smiling and available if you need help.

Love this store! Great for presents for you or someone else.
They have lots of novelty items in the front like Jesus toast stampers, unicorn band-​aids, mustache goods and the like. They also have cards and books.
There is an array of accessories including jewelry, shoes, purses, wallets, hats and scarves. They have a good variety of clothes that are fairly reasonably priced and on trend.
It’s a great place to spend some cash and kill some time while you’re waiting for your reservation at one of the delicious restaurants within walking distance. The best part is they are open late.

Therapy. Yes, I need it, but this is the closest I’m going to get to it.
Came here with my brother because he wanted to buy a birthday card.
And they have that, and more here. Any odd knickknack, funny memo pads, or plain junk that you’ll probably never use or need is here.
Their cards make me laugh though, and I was tempted to buy a Valentine Card for my co-​worker Alicia, whom I’ve liked from day one. Who, for some reason, I seem to be completely retarded around when she’s near. Dropping copy paper, falling out of my chair, catching my tie in the copy machine.
Yeah, that’s me, I’m not proud of it, but it is what it is.
There were cards like «You’re The Obi-​Wan For Me» with R2D2 on it. Or «I got this Valentine’s card today from ‘you know who’ why the **** is Lord Voldemort sending me a Valentine’s Day card?»
Then I thought I should get something more direct like, «I love you like a back-​alley hooker loves crack» or «Do you have a plaster? Because I just scrapped my knee falling for you?»
I pictured in my mind, how I would knock on her office door on Valentine’s Day and hand her the card. She has a good sense of humor, I thought. But then I remembered how she chewed out another co-​worker at a meeting for some document he forgot, and I thought to myself… well, maybe not.
Then I thought about how we had lunch a couple times, where I unfortunately choked on my food, and thought I was going to die right then and there. I thought, well I know her somewhat; maybe she’ll find it funny or flattering?
Then I remembered the time she slammed the door and said the whole department could basically go to hell.
So, once again, no Valentine’s Day card. But, it was the thought that counts!

You can always find something at Therapy.
For me — this weekend — it was a well manifested pair of striped socks.
They were perfect for what I wanted. Just enough padding, just enough sass, and at just the right price.
The staff here are always exceptionally attentive and friendly and it really makes a big difference in the store. You feel good when you know that the business that you’re potentially about to support — truly appreciates your business and is intent on making sure that you walk out satisfied.
