If you want the best custom service, this is it. Thuy is so easy to work with you are made to feel completely taken care of. You have an array of fabrics and patterns to choose from, you have complete customization, no more my top is too small and my pants are too long. One fitting and I’m set for my whole wardrobe, (Incentive to not gain any weight). I can recommend Thuy enough.

I purchased some custom dress shirts through Thuy and I couldn’t be happier. I have never had custom dress shirts made and I was nervous about how they’d turn out. Once I tried them on, I couldn’t have been happier. I felt relieved because it felt good finally being able to wear dress shirts that fit me properly and that would save me the headache of having to shop in the men’s section for shirts that just don’t fit right. Not only was the material top of the line, the fit was PERFECT.
Thuy is very professional and strives to give the best possible customer service. It’s super convenient that she travels to the customer for appointments, aside from the pop-​up shops that frequently come up.
I’m looking forward to getting some custom suits, vests, and additional dress shirts.

Thuy came recommended from a friend after searching far and wide for a quality tailored suit that fit my masculine aesthetic but female body.
Thuy has a great sense for creating a fit that worked with my style and body type. Thuy took her time to make me feel comfortable and create a suit I loved. Also Thuy was always available via text and email when I had questions, and always professional.
And when I wanted slight alterations to the finished suit, Thuy showed great customer service and made those tweaks at no extra charge.
Thuy is someone who gets suiting, gets customer service, and takes pride in her incredible work. I will go to Thuy for all my custom needs after this experience! And I’ve already recommended to all of my friends who have needed custom suits! :)

My experience with Thuy custom clothier has been a moment I will never forget. My experience comes indirectly, not for me but for my teen daughter graduating from High school. As a person that loves everything creative, I found Thuy Designs through a website DapperQ and simply inquired. Being that we lived in Los Angeles, I didn’t know what I was in store for, but took a chance. We communicated by email, getting acquainted with what I was looking for to make my daughter happy and giving her a gift unexpected. Thuy was very genuine from day 1, she lend herself personally to our every need and circumstance. She personally came to Los Angeles to meet us and get detail measurements for my daughter one of a kind suit for prom 2016. During this 3 week time, her communication was impeccable, keeping us in the know of what the latest status. Thuy was so understanding, she went above and beyond of what a traditional designer would do. After three weeks, her suit was completed, Thuy again, came to Los Angeles to hand deliver my daughter suit. It was perfect, now my daughter shape is not of what magazines would consider average, my daughter is very very busty. which is the very core of why I truly wanted a custom suit to fit her shape. Nothing could compare to the smile on my teenagers face of how happy she was. How confident she became facing the world that does not always celebrate her lifestyle of being a lesbian. I am a mother first, and I seek to give my daughter love & support fully, so if it comes in a two piece custom investment, then so be it. Thuy was a gift, that gave my daughter an unspeakable gift that will continue to keep giving into her life beyond measure.

So… my family thinks of Thuy as an angel. Quite literally. Like she fell out of the sky and saved us when my gender-​fluid child suddenly said they wanted to go to prom with 2 weeks to spare! My older daughter’s wedding was also coming up and so I reached out to Thuy. She responded immediately and moved heaven and earth (I mentioned she is an angel, right?) to loan my child a complete outfit for the prom oh and graduation since that was all in this compressed timeframe. Meanwhile the custom suit was on order and came in time for the wedding and is straight-​up GORGEOUS! But there are others out there who can sew… Thuy comes directly from her heart. She works with you like a cherished friend. She was so supportive to my child at this tender turning point in their identity-​making. I am so grateful and cannot recommend her highly enough. Seriously, Thuy is amazing! Every single time Thuy has styled me or had me in the newest Tux designed, I have never felt more proud or confident. Thuy has a great eye, some amazing design skills, but is also one of the kindest people I have had the pleasure to work with! Thúy is a damn lifesaver. No joke. She will have my business forever.
I am short and cake pop shaped and don’t want to wear a girly Banana Republic suit meant for waifs, so finding a well fitted suit has been a gigantic pain in the ass for me. I tried on women’s suits, men’s suits, husky boys’ suits, you name it. Nothing fit right.
I decided custom was the way to go, so I did some research and first decided on Indochino so I could look snazzy for a work event. They sucked. They couldn’t make heads or tails of my measurements, they were terrible at responding back to me (or would call after hours, which meant I couldn’t get a hold of anyone if I called them right back), and after I asked to cancel my order, it took them almost one month to get my refund (and that was after threatening a chargeback because no one ever got back to me). So Indochino, NEVER AGAIN.
Anyway, I lost about 1.5 weeks of time because of Indochino and I was beginning to panic. I emailed nearly a dozen custom suit makers — some said they didn’t design men’s suits for women, some never wrote back at all, some weren’t able to accommodate me on such short notice. Just when I was getting used to the idea that I’d be wearing a burlap sack at my work event, Thúy wrote me back.
Although she’s based up in Oakland and I’m in LA, she took a chance on me because she wanted to make sure I looked great for my event. She stayed up late and video chatted with me to walk me through taking my measurements and when I had to be remeasured, she drove down halfway to meet me. She didn’t have to do that, but she told me she wanted to make sure everything looked great.
She’s so easy going and knowledgeable in person. She’s fun to talk to and let me tell you, she knows her stuff. We were on the same page stylistically and I appreciated her suggestions. I wanted a suit that looked professional without compromising my personal style and she delivered 110%.

I just can’t say enough about Thúy and my personal stylist experience! Thúy is not only warm and friendly to be around, add her wealth of knowledge on clothing, current trends and the ability to piece together abstract thoughts into a uniquely tailored, personal style makes the personalized experience = priceless!
