Nice USO. However, the food was behind the counter and you have to «ask» for everything. There was nowhere for me to nurse my son.

As USO’s go, this is one of the best. Reclining lounge chairs, clean blankets for your overnight, and a wonderful staff. The location inside security just makes this so convenient too. No hassle accommodations, and good screening at the door to keep only legitimate patrons attending. Thanks SFOUSO!

Another great experience with the USO. I’ve been a contributor /member for years. Staff was friendly and informative. Very comfortable chairs. Lots of food and drink. I bravely passed up the fresh brownies but the chocolate chip cookies got me.

I love the USO and what it offers our active duty and their dependants and the retired. The volunteers always greet us with their enthusiasm and just overall great attitudes. Thank you volunteers for making us feel welcomed

Mind blown by the USO. They have a nursery. Which is sooooo awesome. The staff is so friendly and they have food, drinks and anything you may need that you could have forgotten. It’s clean and kept up. It was a god send when my flight got cancelled. I can’t believe they’re 24 hours! I prefer to fly to San Fran now just in case I get stuck at the airport because I fly standby. It’s a little ways away but definitely worth it. Made me want to donate items and money to my local USO, for families who have a similar experience. I’ll do that when I’m home! In the mean time drop a couple bucks in the donation box. Believe me you saved a ton and they are there for our service members and family. Love the USO! Excellent concept!

After flying 10 years across the world this is the first time USO told me and I quote«thank you for your service for being a veteran of the Armed Forces but because we are cutting resources we cannot let you in the USO lounge.» This is how veterans are rewarded for their service. I’m currently laying on the floor in front of the uso. I tried to go in, I politely told them that although I am not active duty, it is Veterans Day and I’ve been driving all night so could I just rest a bit? Only one other person was in the lounge. I had just taken my medication prescribed by the VA for a service connected disability and it makes me drowsy. They said I could have a cup of coffee but I have to leave. As I walked away they said«thank you for your service.» It was a real slap in the face. I don’t think my feelings have been hurt this badly in a while. I am a disabled combat vet laying on the floor on Veterans Day.

Can you believe even on Veteran’s Day, these POS throw Honorably Decorated Veterans to the curb even when no one else is in there, I mean we literally slept on cold concrete outside the doors of an empty USO with only the desk volunteers in the whole place! With proof of service, they still denied us any assistance of any kind. «Thanks for your service?» Save your BSUSO, next time we’re fighting for your pursuit of happiness Vets will just DIE on Veterans Day to make it easy for you to say, «Not here.»

Free WiFi, free food, free drinks, staffed by volunteers that appreciate what all members of the military do, & it is open 24⁄7. Very nice & friendly location.

I am so grateful for the USO! Especially when they’re open 24hrs! I had a interview nearby that lasted almost til midnight, so I wouldn’t be able to take the Bart back to Union Square where I’d be staying, so when I found out I could stay here I was relieved! Because I arrive so late, I wasn’t able to shower since it’s located somewhere else, but I was able to wash up in the bathroom which was awesome. The recliner chairs were all taken up so I opted for the futons that they have, it’s better than the hard floor! But the chair is way more comfortable so if you can, try to grad a chair! The volunteer was very nice & accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed. There’s pretty much everything you need here. Remember this is not an entitlement but a luxury, so appreciate what is here(it’s not the Ritz) and give back when you can! Also, go left as soon as you step out of the elevator to find the door to the USO! It took me a few minutes to find it! :)

This USO is really nice. I’m always a little amazed at how other people can give these places anything less than 4 stars. It’s free and these are volunteers. Don’t take these places for granted no matter what the size or conveniences.

The USO takes care of military members and veterans better than the VA. And it’s because they care about the service members. This place is awesome.

If I could give no stars I would. Unfortunately while I was at Ft. Bragg I lost my military ID. I had less than a week until I returned back home to Hawaii. I wasn’t able to get issued another ID because I needed my social security card or birth certificate & I had to have my husband sign a form to allow me to replace my ID w/out him present, then mail me the original form. Well in the airport at Raleigh they let me stay at the USO by showing them my lost ID report(an offical goverment form) I made w/the MP’s on Ft. Bragg as well as my TriCare medical card, dental card & Tripler medical center card w/my state ID card with matching name. I appreciated that they understood my dilemma & used common sense. And helped me in my time of need. Awesome people! I get to San Fran at 1am. I have an 8hr. lay over. The guy at the USO won’t give me the the time of day to explain & just plainly said he wasn’t gonna let me in. Damn bummer! I know what the rules are & why they are set in place. But, people need help when in a bad situation & I felt disappointed that I didn’t get to stay somewhere I belong.

Awesome place to rest and even have food. Friendly and courteous staff! We had a 3 hours layover and we stayed here from a long trip from Japan.

This is a much smaller USO than what I am use too. Nonetheless it was nice. This one is located outside security, making it nice in one way and not nice in another. You can arrive very early for your flight of need be and wait for it even if security is not open, but if you just want to spend an hour waiting for your flight it may be risky because you still have to travel through security. If you sign up for TSA precheck though you should have an easy time getting through it. They didn’t have really any fresh food at this one but they did have snacks and that was good enough as well as bottles of water. That was a bummer as well. At uso’s inside security I could grab snacks and water for the plane ride, here I could not do that. The staff was very friendly, as usual. I have no complaints there.

Recently on my return from San Francisco, PFC was able to get me into the USO Bay Area SFO Airport Center. You ever wonder what a lounge is like for the military? Well here you go, an in-depth look. We were warmly greeted by a retired military person and shown to the refreshment area. It was my first chance to sample a frozen burrito or hot pocket. Unfortunately, I was not skilled at microwaving a frozen burrito and overcooked the heck outta it. There was an ample supply of power bars, cup of noodles, chips, and soda. You could even get a pillow and blanket and sleep on a cot or a recliner. If you are there for an overnight wait, I guess it’s the most economical way to wait for your flight. There are even restrooms inside the facility that some nicer airport lounges do not have. It’s very different than the American Airlines Admirals Club. Unfortunately, no pre-flight alcoholic beverages can be found here so I could not accomplish my mission of «always be flying before take off.»

This is one of the best USO establishments I have ever been to. They have a baggage area, plenty of seating that makes for a great sleeping area, are open 24/7, free cereal and other foods and drinks and friendly staff that is welcoming as are all USOs. Lots of military patches, coins, and pins line the walls so bring your unit’s as a show of thanks and throw a couple bucks in the jar too so all others can enjoy as well! I love the USO!

This place is pretty great plenty of plugs, the chairs are comfy. They have free snacks the staff is kind the bathroom is clean. If you need to freshen up while they have toothbrush, toothpaste, razors, etc. if you need them at the front desk. Also the is a small box on the counter for donations that help keep the USO running… don’t forget to drop a few dollars in so we can continue to have a place to comfortably rest in between long lay overs!

I had the option to spend however much on a hotel room for a short amount of time through a period of the night or try my luck here. I was actually surprised at how comfortable it was here. When you come in, the staff is friendly and takes care of you. Huge room for luggage that is always in view of the staff. They have plenty of snacks and soups, hot pockets, etc and lots of varieties of drinks too. In the lounge/sleeping room, there are about 10 huge leather recliners and a couple leather sofas too. Super comfortable. They all point to the big screen TV that is at a reasonable volume. At night they’ll mute it, so you’ll just hear the snoring of the person next to you haha. Wifi is strong. Bathrooms clean. Be respectful to those who might be sleeping. Keep talking down to a minimum.

I’m glad they have a lounge dedicated to military folks who are waiting for their next flight at SFO. This is a big airport, and there’s plenty to do, but having a lounge, a free lounge for military folks definitely helps with the morale. They do accept donations and that’s how they maintain their operations here. Again, everything is free. Free popcorn, candy, sandwiches, sodas, etc. Wi-fi is also free so if you’re in the vicinity of their router, the network is «SFO-USO» and the password is «USOSFO#1» They have huge leather lounge chairs, that most people just fall asleep to. They have a big screen tv with lot’s of DVDs to choose from. So, why pay for those expensive, elitist lounges when you can come here for free. It’s located in Terminal 1, and before entering security. So don’t get too comfortable here before your flight since you still need to make time to go through security.
