Bought a car from them back in March — half the cars didn’t have warranties.
One of the numbers/​letters on the registration was messed up. Luckily, Allstate Auto Insurance caught it.
A policeman pulled me over for not having license plate tags… upon going to the DMV to retrieve them, I was informed that the car had not been registered — TWO MONTHS after I had bought it from them.
After an hour of waiting at the DMV, they informed me it was IN PROGRESS of registration, and what was detaining this process was that the dealership was waiting for me to smog the car. They conveniently had failed to inform me of this.
DMV kindly told me that it was California State Law that they should have done this for me prior to my purchase.
The manager «very kindly» took the smog check off the amount I still owed when I presented him with the receipt. While saying what a pretty girl I was. Repeatedly.
I finally paid them off, not wanting anything more to do with them. Just a couple weeks ago, the transmission blew. I made the grand mistake of getting it replaced (made some mechanics quite rich; said mechanics told me it was the only thing that was wrong with the car, that the rest looked great) — and then, just a week after getting it replaced, the WHOLE FRIGGEN ENGINE stopped working. A different mechanic looked at it and has told me that the poor car is fried. So either I’ve been screwed over by some mechanics, or by the friend who was driving the car both times, or by the dealership. I have a feeling it’s ALL OF THE ABOVE.
Regardless, I will NOT be buying from this dealership again.

A little while back my boyfriend decided he wanted a Ford 4runner. So after looking at every listing around. He finally found a black one at this little scam of a used auto store and we’ll he’s kicking himself for it now.
Less than a month after getting it the transmission blew. Not only that he realized the ONLY reason the car appeared to be in good condition is because these bastards hose down the lot twice daily to conceal how shitty the autos they carry really are.
Seriously, don’t waste your time. Please go somewhere [anywhere] else.

My husband and I bought a car here 3 months ago. The car is OK, although it leaks transmission fluid like a bitch. The problem is that the passenger side mirror was partially ripped off when we bought the car, the sales guy assured us they’d replace it, and he’d call us when they had the part to replace it with. This hasn’t happened yet, despite us having talked to them a couple of times since then. I don’t think I should be required to keep nagging them about it.
The second problem is that they left a digit out of the VIN on the paperwork. Or someone did anyway. This is a total pain to try to explain to both them and the DMV.
Edited: 11^th February. I rang about both the mirror and the registration earlier this week. The mirror hadn’t yet been ordered, even though this was the fourth time I’d spoken to someone about it. The registration was held up due to a mix up with the smog check. Apparently we were supposed to go redo the smog check. However, since that problem had already been identified and rectified at the end of December, I’ll have to give them one fewer star. I hope they don’t screw up any further, I don’t think Unilocal lets us do negative stars, does it?
Edited again: 21^st March. Well, we finally received the registration, so that’s OK. Still no fix on the mirror. Why hasn’t someone invented a way to smack people on the head via the phone or internet?
Edited again: 25^th April. After several more attempts at finding out mirror status, I gave up and bought one on ebay.

Just bought a used Volvo from these guys today. Very amiable, straight-​shooters, no problem with a longish test drive, lots of personal attention, very thorough paperwork etc. See their listings on Craigslist as I did. They provide VIN etc info so you can get a Carfax report on each car before you even go over to check them out in person. Open daily 10 – 6 I believe. Corner of Valencia and Cesar Chavez near Salvation Army and St. Luke’s Hospital.
