I love V V. I am the produce manager of the Sacramento Natural Foods Co op(the largest all organic produce department in the US) and I have worked very closely with V V for many years. Other than V V, I work together with many of the small family farms in the Capay Valley and Nor. Cal area to provide my community with the best local organic produce possible. The awesome communication and partnership we at the Co-op have with V V allow us to give our customers the best and most fresh produce around. V V also works and supports the same small farms that I work with. They are there to help the farmers move their food. For me it is not about price, it’s quality and integrity. I will more often than not pay my local farmers more for their product than V V would charge for the same product form the same farm. I will always support V V because we both value the same things; fair pricing for farmers, supporting our communities, building strong relationships with the people we work with and promoting organics. I have worked with and do work with a few other produce companies and no one comes close to V V.

We love Veritable Vegetable. We’re happy they provide extremely tasty and healthy organic fruits to Paul Revere Elementary School in Bernal Heights for the kids.

ummm… hello? organic produce rules and so do farmers! that’s right. farmers. rule. and working at Veritable is not for the weak minded or weak spirited. Its hard work, people. Vegetables are frickin heavy. So, let me put it this way, what you get out of the job is based on what you put into it. and if you treat it and the people around you with respect, you will get respect back. I have never had any issues with this«hostile» management, and I’ve worked there for almost 2 years. How about them apples? the moral of this story is if you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. you dig? eat more fruit. eat more veggies.
