these sweaters are disgraceful — pilled and yucky after one wearing. do not waste your $$$

nice, but really really expensive and not much variety.

I love VInce. Vince makes awesome basics that anyone can incorporate into their wardrobe. I have a couple of their shirts and sweaters and they are amazing in quality. The service is impeccable, its probably the only store in the Union Square area that provides attentive and amazing service(other than the prestigious designer stores like Hermes and Bottega). The prices are fair because you are paying for quality and durability(seriously, i still have a t-shirt i bought 4 years ago and it still looks new!).

Vince, why have you stolen my heart with your beautiful leather jackets? I have always admired leather jackets but I have never really found one that fit me quite like the one I found at Vince the other day. I went to Vince with my fashionable friend and I randomly tried on a leather scuba jacket(I didn’t make up this name) that was going for a whopping $ 995. It was quite gorgeous and fit me really well. The leather was really soft too. What was funny was that the sales associate was wearing the same one so obviously she thought it was beautiful too. I still think that for better prices you can go to a department store like Nordstrom or Bloomingdales and find Vince, etc. but there’s still nothing like going to the actual store and just admiring their lovingly curated racks.

This is a great little boutique. Vince makes awesome stuff overall, but I usually don’t wander in unless there’s a sale going on. Their sweaters and sweater coats are amazing, very durable, and last for years. Recently I went in looking for a leather-front crew neck sweater that I had seen online. Unfortunately, they didn’t have it in-store, but they were very knowledgeable about it overall and were able to tell me how it fit, what it looked like on, and whether they recommended it or not. All in all, very helpful staff, even though I had to order the item online. This kind of service keeps me going back.

Vince kind of saved my Saturday. I was in San Francisco for the first time in well over a decade, and with lots of money to spend. However, it seems that the brands had other ideas as a majority of the stores I went to(Paul Smith, G-Star, Kenneth Cole) struck out on both style AND having my size available. I was ready to give up and keep my money for AllSaints Spitalfields down the street(which is a whole other depressing story), but then I stumbled into the Saks Fifth Avenue Men’s store over on Post and found a Vince shirt for roughly 35 bucks INMYSIZE. I was prepared to snatch it, but figured I’d go to the source and see if I could find a better deal. Sure enough, and with the help of the very friendly and knowledgeable Sabrina, I found the exact same shirt in my size for three dollars less than at Saks. I snapped it up, and even managed to have a conversation with the employee while I was checking out. The customer service was great, the fits are decent(a little bit of what I like to call the«hipster slouch» to them), and the quality feels much nicer than the aforementioned AllSaints store. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in San Francisco.

Not only do these guys turn out deliciously simple designs that flatter and fit like no other, they also know how to throw a great party. The store is small but mighty: packing in a decent amount of inventory, most notably their women’s jackets and knitwear. On the pricey side, it’s still worth the cash you’ll fork over for some really solid pieces that will go the distance and last through the seasons. The folks manning the shop are incredibly helpful and very nice: a rare treat in Union Square.

There’s no questioning the refined but modern simplicity of the Vince look. It’s immediately hot, slightly European with a nod to California casualness. For women, their leather jackets are deliciously fitting, where even their leggings are coveted items. Um, this is merely an observation. For men, I’ve been so far impressed with their jeans and sweaters, basics, admittedly, but done well. The only thing that needs con-vincing, so to speak, is the price tag, but with the seasons coming and going, keep an eye on sales and you should do alright. The layout of the store is spacious yet enticing, but there’s just enough chill to make you feel like you’re in SoHo(something that’s sorely missing in Union Square, I must say).

So despite being unemployed again, I wandered in here to check out the sale. Really I shouldn’t have done that because, you know UNEMPLOYED. But when else are you going to find a Vince cashmere waffle knit zip-up hoodie for 60% off? Good ghod, do I love this hoodie. Since it’s been so cold, I have been wearing it all the time. And I just have to tell you that Stephanie is one of the nicest sales people I have dealt with in a while. She was totally ready to check the system for a size and color they didn’t have and have it shipped to me when I decided that I was fine with the navy one. One other really cool thing is Stephanie told me that if any of the other stores(Bloomie’s and such) didn’t have a size that I was looking for, to come to the shop and they would order it from their warehouse. Nice. Yeah, I’m a lifer now.

The Vince store in San Franciso just opened up last week and it makes me oh-so happy! I’m a huge fan of Vince and it’s really hard to find in boutiques. The store is stylish, modern, and sleek. It’s also full of light and it is spacious. You can find a lot of leather jackets, tops, sweaters, and leggings. There’s a lot of the basic and non basic styles too. The clothes here are definitely expensive but worth it for the quality.
