Still my favorite EV charging company! I love seeing new stations pop up around Honolulu. Now there are four at Ala Moana, and I think five around Ward(two in the new parking structure near TJ Max, two at the theater, and one right in front of Menchie’s). And those areas have additional chargers not run by Volta, but they are mostly pay by the hour. I was also pleasantly surprised to find two Volta stations at the Halekulani/Waikiki Parc self parking. If you can manage to get validation, enjoy free parking and free charging in the middle of Waikiki! Still wish there were more at Kahala Mall, though. I really wouldn’t mind if it weren’t right in the front like the two stations are now. I can walk. But I guess the business model requires visible ad space, so I don’t know if that’s the issue so much. If you’re a business considering sponsoring a Volta charger, do it! I absolutely go where the chargers are, hang out longer when I’m plugged in, and I pay attention to the advertisers and use those businesses when I can. I see more and more EVs on the road every day, and if you build the chargers, we will come. Thanks!

Volta at Stonestown, San Francisco! Yes, the charging stations are free! Now shopping at the mall is less painful and getting a free charge for my plug-in is a bonus. There are two stations by Trader Joes and two in the garage. Very nice bonus to ease the shopping pain and making it more attractive to spend my money. One station was out of commission and reported this to Volta. Withing a few days, it was back in operation, hopefully due to their folks coming out to fix it. Efficient people at Volta and hope they can install more advertising when they get more sponsors for the charging stations. Thank you!

I noticed the FREEEV charging stations at Whole Foods and Ala Moana… Awesome! I am thinking about getting an EV car and these stations are definitely making my decision easier. Way to make going green easy!
