Latex is fun in private but kinda gross if it involves nudity of private bits in public. I don’t think it’s appropriate to share in an art space because people can accidentally bring youngsters or more conservative friends with them expecting to see art and get an eye of something else entirely. I’m cool with nude beaches because you expect nudity there but this just seems like someone pushing their leftist views on me without any warning and that’s just not ok! It’s an art gallery NOT a sex club.

Latex body painting. They were at Red Ink Studio’s Heavy Petting Zoo Party last Thursday and tempting us all to run around without proper clothes on. I think the logic is that latex is a barrier as thick as cotton I suppose. There were like a dozen people wearing only the paint and they didn’t feel self conscious abou it, of course people that bother to remove all body hair tend to be a little more aloof. If you don’t know what you want, they’ll think of a cool design. This is one of those things that you would want to make your party just that much cooler.
