Webb Construction

As much as I like Kevin Webb as a person, we did have some issues with his company. We were told to use his company by the developer of our loft, so we asked for a quote for the build-​out of our unfinished loft. When the first invoice came we found he had billed out his labor at a much higher rate than that included in his quote. This appears to have been an error, as he told us his laborers earn significantly more than that. At any rate, it resulted in a large overrun in the cost of our build-​out. The job ran over by about 60%, some of it due to us, but a lot due to a lack of communication. While we are happy with the build-​out, there were things that went wrong that could have been avoided.
My advice is to get everything in writing, especially labor rates, as well as the people who will be working on the job. This will minimize issues.
I waited to write this review until I had tried multiple times to contact him about some issues we have still. He eventually did respond, saying he was unaware of our messages. If this is so, he needs to look at the performance of his office staff.
