Andrew is the best! I’ve been to a few different acupuncturists in SF and have had some odd experiences, so I was skeptical about heading back to acupuncture and super nervous when I met with Andrew. He instantly put me at ease and handled my issues with kindness, compassion and understanding. Each time I see him, he takes the time to sit and talk with me, and when I see him again, he’s always done research to find out more about what can help me. He actually listens. I think this is a really big deal :)
He’s funny, smart and really good at what he does and his studio is very clean. I should also add that he has helped me A LOT with my insomnia, mastitis, back and neck issues, and stress.

I had my first experience with acupuncture today, and Andrew made me feel completely at ease. After speaking with me about my past history and current symptoms, he was able to provide some initial context within Chinese Medicine for my recent knee troubles — and then clearly explained how we would proceed.
At each step through the acupuncture process he told me what he was about to do, and was very attentive to any possible discomfort. I’m happy to say there was none, and soon I found myself relaxed and drifting off.
Now, some hours later, my knee is already feeling much better, and I’m looking forward to our next session in a week.

I have had a few sessions with Andrew for lower back pain and the experience was magical. Everything about my experience was calming and restorative. The treatment space was warm and comfortable. Andrew was kind, calm, knowledgeable and professional. Andrew listened to and treated my symptoms and I walked out feeling rejuvenated and stress-​free. I was scheduling my next appointment before I got off the table. I would recommend Andrew and the Wellness Workshop to anyone in need of a acupuncturist.

When I first arrived for my appointment, I was a little wary… the door from the street seems so plain and non-​descript. You ring the buzzer and then go down a short little passageway wondering what’s going on when it opens up into a hidden gem of a SF wonderland!
Andrew leads you into the treatment space which immediately has such a soothing and calming feel. You can just sense the power of the practitioner just by being in the place!
I came in for some lingering Achilles’ tendon pain but it turns out that it was just a symptom of a larger imbalance. I really got the feeling that this guy knows a lot. I mean, I just wanted my leg to get better but suddenly I found out that all these other little ‘issues’ I’ve been chalking up to aging and just dealing with were things that could be fixed!
After a thorough intake where Andrew asked lots of pointed questions (which I thought were unrelated until he patiently explained the connections from a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective) I was up on the table and getting treated.
I totally drifted off after he put the needles in (painlessly, I might add!) and by the time I left, I felt like a different person. I slept better that night than I had in WEEKS! My Achilles’ didn’t hurt for days after the treatment, and it had been bothering me for months!
After my second appointment, I felt even better than after the first, which I think is a good sign that you’re dealing with someone who actually knows what they’re doing.

Andrew’s knowledge and skill are obvious, even after just the first treatment. I have seen him several times over the past couple years, each treatment providing the ease my mind and body were seeking. In addition he always sends me home with additional insight; sometimes a simple dietary or herbal recommendation, and other times a few words of wisdom on how to approach the stressors in my life in a alternate way. He is an intelligent and sincere practitioner.
