Love this store, love the owner, Marsha. Have been coming here since we moved to the neighborhood 12 years ago and still come here now that the store has relocated. Many good deals on furniture and the quality is high and fabulous and the folks are willing to deal and cut you a break. Our dining room table, desk and a few of our finer antique pieces all came from here. The shopping experience is always pleasant, classy and full of good conversation. I really love this charming store and store keeper. A great local business that should be patronized if you are into this sort of thing. Oodles of charm and loveliness !

I visited this store for the first time last weekend on a whim after stopping for breakfast in the area. It’s a beautiful store with very good quality stuff. Some of it genuinely antique, and other is what I’d call vintage or just not-new reproductions. The older woman tending the store that day was a little«starchy» but was quite pleasant, and was happy to help my partner and I. We couldn’t help spending too much, and will probably end up trying to have a table we loved shipped home to Chicago. Sticker prices are a bit high, but be sure to ask for the best price, since each vendor with items in the store has different policies. We got discounts on everything, from 15%-25%!

The grey haired woman has a serious attitude problem. First she interrupts me mid sentence and then when she was done with my private conversation she very loudly starts talking about me to another worker. Apparently she didn’t like my clothes and my BF and I never buy anything because it’s to expensive. Clearly I could hear her since the store is like 10 foot wide. I yelled at her. I was head to toe in Givenchy and my house is sadly full of items from this shop. I do think 99% of items are priced to high. Ceramics and jewelry are rarely a good deal but if you can put with the staff you might find a good deal on some Victorian furniture.

I’ve been coming into this store off/on for 15+ years, and the snottiness level of the staff/owners has never changed. It makes you wonder if they actually want business?

Love this place, its a little co-op owned by I believe 6 – 8 people who each have their own little space in the store. I spent around 1.5 hours going through every nook and cranny, and although a couple of items caught my eye(antique peruvian coin pearl necklace for $ 70.00, a «birkin» look a like bag for $ 200.00) I just didn’t really NEED them, so I didn’t buy them. They have tons of jewelry, and household knick knacks. Overall its a beautiful store full of hidden treasures. If you are in the neighborhood and you’ve got some time to kill I highly suggust this store. The ladies who work here are all really nice, and full of knowledge about the pieces they carry.

Oh, what a beautiful store — and right on West Portal. The owner(at least, I think it was the owner) is super nice, and really knowledgeable. The stock is amazing — I pretty much wanted everything I saw. My mother in law, who was visiting us in SF, bought a cute little ceramic baby-doll figurine — just adorable, and a perfect souvenir. The young man who waited on us wrapped it up for travel — this was not a high-ticket item, but he took great care, and we really appreciated it. The furniture prices are extremely fair, as well — that happens to be something in which I am a bit of an expert.

I agree on the service issues in 2 other postings. I have been coming to this antique store for years, and the owner is very nice. Right now, they are having theft issues, and have added cameras, which I think is a great idea. But, I was in there yesterday and the woman manning the shop followed me around and made me feel like she didn’t trust me and I when I asked her to stop she was agressive and defensive. DEFINITELYNOT the neighborhood vibe I expect in locals place like West Portal.

I asked if I could see the price of an item in the window and the owner said to me and my kids«no we’re closed!» I’ve actually been inside a couple of times as this place has been open for years. The stuff here is generally really antique-y, not a bunch of junky«collectibles» crammed all over the place. The store is very clean. It’s not over crowded with inventory or patrons, mostly free of dust, pizazz and charisma. I imagine they must make a killing on every item they sell because they can’t be doing much business with the attitude that they sport so proudly.

Came here on a Sunday… we were bored and ended up looking for antique stores. Came here first and I found a really cute diamond flower ring. The best part it was only $ 30! I would def come back here again, they have a lot of interesting stuff.

This place is awesome & lots bigger than you think it is. They have a great collection of art deco frames. I got a cute flower pin for $ 6 which I’m super excited about & a cute red plastic necklace. The most impressive part about this place [besides me being the first to review it – seriously? It’s on a strip in SF] is how really inexpensive things were. I go vintaging pretty often. My two items could easily have sold for double if I was in the Haight or on Valencia. I think because they are so far out there they were more reasonable. Mostly a good assortment of jewelry & a little bit of furniture.
