Wilma Bass, MFT

I’ve worked with Wilma across the last six months and have found her to be truly exceptional. I am in the mental health field, and have very high standards (in terms of what I hope for in a clinician). Wilma is both highly skilled and deeply compassionate. She is also deeply in integrity in her boundaries and interactions.
EMDR is a powerful modality, but it is much more so if the clinician has excellent general psychodynamic skills, which Wilma does. EMDR sessions have led to breakthroughs in my deepest and most entrenched patterns (related to trauma). I feel that this is just as much due to Wilma’s clinical therapy skills as due to the EMDR technique.
Because EMDR sessions are best done in longer time intervals, the price might seem high. It’s worth it– you are truly lucky if you have found her.

I’ve met with Wilma to discuss trauma and how she helps people, organizations and businesses. She’s super knowledgable and professional… a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (my client). I look forward to working with her again in the future!

Wilma is a trusted colleague with whom I have worked and studied for several years. She works with a strong sense of compassion and heartfulness, yet remains pragmatic and approachable.

She dumped me while in was in a psychiatric hospital and she gave me no referrals (this is required when a therapist discontinues working with a client). I had thought she was great, I was wrong.

I worked briefly with Wilma after experiencing a violent, traumatic incident at my workplace. She was tremendously useful in helping me understand the after effects of trauma and what steps to take to encourage healing. She contributed greatly to my ultimately healthy recovery and I can’t recommend her highly enough.
