This place has a huge variety of fish and meat for sale, and all of it is extremely fresh. There is almost always a crowd, but the service is polite and the lines move fast. My mom has been coming here for years to buy seafood.

too bad there is no half stars, this place would get a 3.5 from me. nice guys there if you can get over the fact the yelling is their way of being friendly. I go there a lot so the owner Danny usually take care of me and all the other workers are always smiling and helpful. Prices are good and if you are a regular, you will get an additional 15 to 20% off their posted prices. Love the fact that they are open till 6:30pm 7 days a week.

This place is a great neighborhood place to grab your meat. Now granted they certainly aren’t telling you that it was grass fed and is from Petaluma, but it’s good meat and at a great price. There are two sides: one for seafood and one for meat. If you’re buying seafood I would actually recommend walking down a few blocks to the Seafood Center at 831 Clement Street. But for meat Wing Hing is pretty good. Remember, as with most of the Asian markets, this place is cash only!

LOVE this place! I bought a whole cod here a couple years ago for a dinner party(the evening’s highlight was the miso glazed cod) and it was awesome, so fresh and tender. And today I purchased a 2 pound lobster for a fish stock and seafood paella I made today… again another hit. Although the lobster was a bit feisty when we got home(my husband laughed at me when I started screaming after being snapped at, yipes!) it was so fresh and was one of the better lobster’s I’ve had in awhile. Absolutely recommended and worth the 20 minute drive if you’re in need of a large amount of lobsters, prawns, crabs, fish and of course they have other items for sale(frogs and turtles, but that’s too much out of my comfort zone)… just FYI, the floors have a lot of water on them so try to avoid flip flops and they are CASHONLY.

If you need to buy large quantities of lobster, this is the place. They have lots of good, fresh lobsters — and cheaper than most anywhere else.

Pretty decent seafood market. I wouldn’t trek all the way out here just for this, but since I trek all the way out here anyway to hit the Chinese shops then it’s worth stopping in. Why? The place is relatively clean for an Asian seafood market. People who work here are nice. And the fish is pretty fresh. Prices are better than most other markets on this strip of Clement. The only downside is that they only take cash and there are no signs in English. So… If you can look at fish and pretty much know what it is, or can tell how to cook it, then you’ll be fine. If you need labels and advice on what to do, then you’re better off somewhere else.

As much as I like the idea of a specialized seafood purveyor, the seafood counter at New May Wah beats Wing Hing and they’re also a full-service supermarket. Wing Hing isn’t bad, I’m just not sure why it exists except to catch the overflow when New May Wah is too busy. It’s slightly less clean and has slightly less selection. Sorry to say, New May Wah’s economy of scale is beating them. A seafood counter needs to be busy, because busy = rapid turnover of product and rapid turnover of product = FRESH. Wing Hing isn’t busy enough.

I like Wing Hing because, 1. They have great selection of meat and seafood 2. Guys are very friendly 3. They are fresher than many other markets on Clement 4. Their price is better than most of other markets on Clement I wish they were close to my apartment in Tender-nob…
