Yancy’s is a great place to watch sports. They now accept credit cards! I went here for the Warriors game last night, and they have a lot of TVs and a lot of space, so it’s a really fun atmosphere to watch the game. Arrive about 30 – 40 minutes early to get a seat. Also, you can bring in your own food and everyone does that. The best part was the really friendly and attentive waitresses who come around to your seats to take your drink orders. Our waitress always came back at the perfect time — I was never once waiting for her and wishing I had a drink. She was also so nice and friendly and in a great mood despite the fact that the place was totally slammed!

This is a cool ass bar and a fun spot to watch games. We arrived early to save seats to catch game 4 of the NBA finals. Played a round of darts before the place filled up and discovered that I’m actually pretty good! Good thing we came early because the place got packed very quickly but they had bartenders on the floor taking drink orders so we didn’t have to move. They also allow outside food, since they don’t serve food, so that was pretty cool. I’m not a big basketball fan but I still had fun eating, drinking, and trying to catch a glimpse of my idol, Ayesha Curry. Next time I’m gonna wear a short sleeve top though because it gets real hot towards the back.

He bar is right off of Irving. I’ve been here many times to watch a bunch of games. It’s a great spot with great company. Food from outside the bar is allowed. If you’re a regular, they accept cards now! Awesome news! They also offer free wifi! There are dart boards to keep you busy too. During the day, I sometimes see folks studying or on their laptops. If you’re looking for a place that’s fun, chill and not too fancy, this ur best deal. I have nothing but great experiences here until tonight… I’m changing my rating from a 4 star to. 3 star. Only because they asked my friend for his I.d. He’s clearly over 21(way over), but they asked him to leave. They said it was«bad for business» to have ppl in the bar who are NOT drinking. So he offered to buy everyone else at our table a drink to stay at the bar. Which I thought was really odd and unfair since we had a large party of more than 10 people. But I understand business is business. I would’ve given this place a 4-Starr, but that situation happened AND… their atm machine ate my other friend’s card. But other than that, this place is pretty cool.

3.5STARS We were looking for a decent sized bar to go to last Saturday since we had a group of about 10 people. We were already in Outer Sunset, so one of my girlfriends suggested Yancy’s. I’d never been, but my gf said that it’s a good size and we could play darts, etc. We got here last Saturday, May 14th around 8:15pm. It was pretty busy when we got here. We managed to find a small table off to the side that realistically fit about four people. We managed to fit about 6 people at the table since we all got there at different times. Shortly after we started in on our drinks, a row of tables opened up, so we snagged them. This was much better and way roomier. We pushed the tables together to make a giant long table. I was pretty much done drinking by the time we got here, so I just got a Jameson on the rocks and a Blue Moon. Nursed it for the two of hours we were there. We never got the chance to play darts as it always seemed busy and we never signed up. Might be fun to do next time on a chill day. Nice neighborhood bar.

This is the best place to watch a warriors game in the Sunset. Here with a friend last night and the atmosphere was electric! Good vibe and good times. Lots of TVs and other sport options too, bartender is great, and the waitress killed it, both worked hard and that made a big difference. It was packed and we never waited empty. Ordered a pizza from down the street and ate it in the bar! Many good options in area for food and most deliver right to your table.

A fun, exuberant(and large!) neighborhood bar with friendly service & pretty reasonable prices. All in all, it is what it says on the tin. Will be back!

Very great bar. Unpretentious. Tons of screens for any game you’re wanting to see. Awesome selection of beers on tap. Not the greatest wine, so just don’t order that. They have menus from restaurants around the area for you to order take out and bring in. Tons of space and places to sit. Right outside the muni line. I started this review with a 4-star, but after writing this, changed it to a 5-star. There’s no reason this shouldn’t be rated a 5. I’ve been here numerous times for numerous occasions(to watch a game, book club, hanging out), and I’ve loved it every time.

Incredibly ageist, incompetent bartenders with no regard for people or the neighborhood. Didn’t do anything when the ceiling started leaking on the tables. The red heads attitude made me feel super degraded. I do not recommend it unless you are a middle aged white male. A big part of the reason why the city is increasingly overrated.

I live 4 blocks away. I come here for the major games and the drinks aren’t outrageously priced like other places in the city. I would have given this place 4 stars gut guess what, they accept credit cards now!!! So with that said, if you just wanna get a drink and bring your own food to enjoy a game, this is a good spot.

In the handful of times that I’ve been to Yancy’s I have yet to have a bad experience. Good beer, plenty of places to sit, and the sweetest bartenders around. One of them handed me my drink last night and said, «Here you go, dear.» Dear! That just about melted my cold, dead heart. I’ll definitely be back for a brew or two the next time I’m in the neighborhood!

A perfectly good bar. Funky. Dark. Lots of tv’s. Open daytime. Chips behind the bar. Eclectic and varied customers. I dunno. What more is there to say? Want a drink? In the inner sunset? It works!

This is a chill place and it’s really our go-to spot after work. It’s never that loud or busy, so you can have a nice chat with your friends while grabbing a beer. They will give you free popcorn, or if you’d like you can grab a pizza or burrito next door and bring it in for your dinner. Darts in the back if you like. Oh, plus they started taking credit cards months ago, so don’t worry about that. Great place to grab a beer in a relaxed, not too noisy environment.

Yancy’s has a chill atmosphere. They don’t play really loud music. Great for chatting and hanging out. I loved the dart area. 3 dart boards and a seating area behind it for people to watch and drink. Service was good. Fast, but the bartender wasn’t very chatty. Just got our orders and left. Lots of seating area so it didn’t feel too crowded. Also thought it was cool that they let you bring outside food.

This is a pretty solid bar– I understand why a lot of people come here to chill. There are so many TV screens playing all types of sports: basketball, football, hockey, etc etc. Plus, there are plenty of tables to sit at, and the drinks are cheaper than the average bar. What more can you ask for?! Downside is that it’s cash-only. I totally didn’t expect that. Also knocked down a star because the bartender was being pretty rude. I was taking pictures of the interior(they decorated for Christmas, really pretty lights!) and the bartender was being really impatient and kept pushing me to order. «Order now, pictures later.» Well geez, I apologize wanting to admire the interior design… He also looked really pissed handing us the drinks. We did not get a good vibe from him at all; it was like«take it and leave» vibe. No bueno.

I love yancys. It’s our local bar and the cocktail waitress named Stephanie is such a sweetheart. We go here and the staff knows are names. It’s comforting. No food sold here except popcorn but you can bring food from outside. They now accept credits which is awesome! Darts, tables a couch. Juke box and his/her bathrooms. Love it.

There’s darts in the back! Bet ya didn’t know that since this place is always full of people. Yancy’s is super chill. You can bring food in from anywhere and have a drink to enjoy the game on one of their many, many TV screens. Drinks are cheap too — what’s there not to like? Cash only!

Yancy’s is one of those local favorites that’s pretty solid. It’s spacious, the bartenders are pretty social and friendly, and drink prices are on point. The two negatives are that it’s a cash-only bar and the fact that there is literally no AC but hey they have the fights on with no cover and because of said cash-only requirement, you can pop in for a drink without getting overcharged. That all being said, it’s a good place to meet friends for a cold beer on those rare nice days. Good times most definitely will ensue. Not ideal, but it’ll get the job done nicely.

Definitely a kewl place to chill if the game is on or just lookin for a college crowd. Youngster spot for sure, but compared to fireside at least they have free darts that u just need to leave your ID for to get darts. 2 of the 3 boards are jacked… not really sure y they would replace 1 instead of all three! Oh well. the cash only does kinda suck but eh. lots of TVs to watch a variety of games. With all the cash they make and how cheap board are… that is my main complaint. Other than that a great local bar to hang out with friends.

Yancy’s is a decent spot to get some work done if you want to pair internet with a drink. The space is huge and they have a multitude of TVs if you’re hoping to catch a specific type of sports game as well. That being said — I’ve come to discover that Yancy’s is not my go-to hangout. I stopped on by Yancy’s this Sunday to watch the Warriors game. The place(as I’m sure most bars were due to the Warriors game) — was busy. I found a seat at the bar. The bartender asked if I wanted a drink. I asked if I could buy water — since I didn’t drink. He said that they didn’t serve bottled water and that there was a 2 drink minimum to sit at the bar. And so — I headed on over to Little Shamrock — where they proudly hang the Welsh flag, where they have free water in a self serve section, where there is a multitude of low-key warm faces, where there is plenty of sitting space, and where there is no two drink minimum to sit at/or around the bar. Trust.
