This is such a wonderful place to practice yoga and get your @$$ kicked during Flow Fit classes. This is my go to place for exercise since I hate the gym and hate running and just don’t like the class pass wants to raise my rates 30% but not pay fair prices to the studios I love to go to.
I’ve taken yoga with most of the teachers and they’re awesome. I actually followed Martina here since she use to teach at another studio. Emerald who takes care a lot of the membership/​class/​back office things (which is probably no fun) is sweet, prompt, and encouraging. Derek is a great instructor for Flow Fit. He makes sure it’s hard, hard for you, that you don’t wimp out with light weights, and that there’s funny commentary during the whole hour. What else can you ask for?
Parking can be difficult only if you want princess parking. There’s usually ample parking a block away on Lincoln Ave. They have tea bags available for after practice nourishment.

This is my favorite yoga studio of all time.
I’m definitely not what you’d call a yoga super fan. I really like how I feel afterward, but honestly most of the time, heading to yoga just feels like a chore. This is not the case at YogaBeach. For once in my life I actually look forward to class.
All of the teachers I’ve had are great, but I usually attend Nick and Martina’s classes. They are wonderfully talented, fun teachers who provide a great environment for beginning and intermediate yogis.
Jenny’s Friday morning class is insanely awesome — I wish she taught weekends or evenings. If you can get there at 8:30am on Fridays, it’s so worth it!
I’ve yet to try the core strength conditioning classes, (hiit circuit) but I’ve got a few scheduled so we’ll see how it goes.
Your first class is $ 10, drop ins after that are $ 18 and unlimited is $ 100 /​mo which is well worth it!

Yoga Beach is bitchin! Love the welcoming atmosphere and challenging FlowFit class. Plus it’s located in one of the last best neighborhoods in the city. I am happy to have found them and look forward to coming back.

What a lovely yoga studio! I just attended my first class here and I was pleasantly surprised by the environment. The studio is so airy and beachy, the people working there were very nice, and the instructor was great, offering good instructions and correcting us as we went. I also enjoyed that the class was small — only 8 people, I believe. As others have mentioned, it’s a bit slower of a flow and the studio is slightly heated — it feels great.

This is a really lovely little studio in the Outer Sunset. The space itself is beautiful, with hardwood flooring, big windows, and cushy floor poufs in the waiting area. The most crowded class I’ve been to was around 10 people, while the smallest was just me and 1 other yogi. Small class size = lots of personal attention from instructors, all of whom are a real asset to this place. Every time I come I get a workout that’s a challenge, but I’m encouraged to listen to my body and do what feels best. There is no trace of ego here, only positive vibes all around! Such a sweet little gem of a place. Thanks Yoga Beach!

This little yoga studio in the outer sunset a few blocks away from Ocean Beach an oasis! Discovered this studio during my run. The classes are small and the instructors are personable. Instructors are encouraging and works towards different levels.
First class is free.

Bright, sunny, beautiful space in Outer Sunset. I love the layout of the studio; the lovely reception area is separated from the studio by a thick curtain, and the whole place has a bright, airy feel to it.
I took their 75-​minute vinyasa flow class on Sunday morning and found the experience to be calming. I prefer shorter classes usually, but I appreciated the longer warm-​up and cool-​down period. The instructor had really great energy and moved through the poses slowly enough that you can really pay attention to your poses.
If you’re looking for a yoga studio with smaller class sizes and slower vinyasa flow, I would definitely recommend Yoga Beach. You can also rent mats for $ 3!

I absolutely love this place. Went here for several months before moving. Dana was my favorite, she was awesome. Plus the owners are super sweet, funny people.

I’ve been trying to get back into yoga after being injured for a while, and I decided to try Ocean beach after the people at the art store near the studio mentioned Yoga Beach. They have a first-​class-​free policy. The studio was VERY welcoming and the front desk person checked me in and told me everything I needed to know. The studio is very well designed and conducive to yoga practice. I especially appreciate the minimalist approach to the yoga studio — what do we need to be looking at? The instructor was excellent, giving us the space to push ourselves to our individual limits, but reminding us that we can and should always bring it back when needed.
So, why three stars? The moment I went into my first real pose, I felt it. The studio floor is made from thin balsa wood (or similar material) placed on top of concrete, and I felt the hardness of the floor right into my wrist, knees, feet and ankle. It was really tough to get through the last ½ hour of the class.
This said, I wouldn’t advice another person to not go to this studio for this reason alone — I am speaking to my own personal sensitivity to hard yoga surfaces. Perhaps if i had another mat it would have been better.

Yoga Beach is such a welcome addition to the Outer Sunset neighborhood! I’ve done my fair share of yoga classes and always left feeling like I still had not grasped the concept of yoga. Other people seem to be having a more spiritual experience or getting more out of it.
Not here! I leave every class knowing that I pushed myself. The teachers are laid-​back, welcoming and don’t take it too seriously, which creates such a great dynamic in the studio. The location is beautiful and well-​maintained and great for all levels of student.
Check it out! You won’t be disappointed.

I love that there is a new yoga studio within walking distance to my house and that they are on classpass! The studio is very clean and bright and peaceful. Everyone is very friendly. There are some cubbys to place your things and an area to change. It is a gently heated studio.

Nick and Martina are the best teachers here

I just finished my second class at this yoga studio and I’m completely in love!
The teachers are very engaging and all student levels are welcomed.
I love that the teacher correct your poses. If you’re not into that the instructor will leave you alone. But for me I love being corrected so that I can grow and feel my progress.
I’ve done bikram the last 3 years and personally I don’t think I will go back to bikram after taking two classes here.
It’s a small intimate studio that opened less than a week ago.
The owners have been there both times I’ve been in the studio and they are awesome!
If you haven’t been here yet and are thinking about it, GO!
First class is free as a spring/​summer special.
