Went here looking at the rating of the restaurant. Went there around 9, so not exactly closing time. The guys at the counter were very nice, funny and helpful. Ordered chicken shawarma wrap, the chicken was very hard and crunchy(overgrilled), the rest of the ingredients did not even remotely make up for it. Seems more designed for a takeout then eating in, not enough tables/chairs. Not a very good experience overall.

Chicken texture like rubber, couldn’t even chew through it. Beef was not much better. Probably worst Mediterranean food I’ve ever had.

I had a falafel bowl, it was alright. it wasn’t dense enough for me but the mixture of vegetables and tzatziki was good. my girlfriend had a salad which was monstrous and tasty, I’d recommend that instead.

food is super expensive here. its not a $ place. We ordered fries and we literally got 10 bigs pieces. thats way too less for $ 3. We got Chicken shawarma and chicken kebab plate. The kebabs was a little better. I will catagorize Shawarma as bad. The rice that came with it was very very bland. The hummus was good but we dint even get a small piece of pita bread for it. Quantity was also less for the price we paid. Never going back. There are many restaurants around this place. try them.

I came in for the first time today and waa so incredibly pleased with my food that I felt compelled to right a review as I was leaving. I ordered the kale salad with some falafel on top. It was so delicious and full of flavor! The falafels were perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The salad dressing was amazing, citrusy but savory and a nice combination with the dried cranberries and feta cheese. Definitely will be coming back for a quick bite to eat! Side note, they have a beautiful little outdoor patio that seats up to 10 – 12 ppl. Great for a sunny day!

This place is amazing! The salad that comes with the plate is liiife, it’s called the Greek salad ugh so yummy. But what I got was the Chicken Kabob Plate that comes with chicken kabobs, rice, salad and hummus. The portion is perfect(big) it keeps you full and very very happy! As for the boyfriend he got the Chicken Shawarma w/the yogurt sauce that I also took many bites of so pretty much this place will be my go to, for sure. So good! I’m currently craaaaving!

Three of us girls came for a casual quick dinner. There were only a few other people in this place. Great– cause we were starving & that means we were able to get our food faster! We ordered the Mediterranean Sampler w/a Chicken Kabob, Combo Kabob Plate(three kabobs), and the Shawarma Plate. I enjoyed the Mediterranean Sampler the most! As for the meats. Chicken Shawarma and the Chicken Kabob were the best. All the other meats were just alright. either too fatty or salty. The extra side of Tzatziki sauce that I added was the business though!!! Yum! Again– lent is so annoying. I couldn’t eat the pita bread or falafel! UGHHH but those looked deadly so I’ll be back again! Yumma’s is cheap and cheerful! & the two gentlemen working were extremely nice, friendly, and funny!

Came here with my family on Sunday night. There are several other Mediterranean places around the area, but we were looking for something healthier. My brother and my dad ordered the Shawarma Hummus plate with beef, which is basically a large plate of hummus with beef on top served with pita bread. Decent meal if you really like hummus, however I didn’t think the hummus was amazing. My mom and I both got our own Create Your Own Bowl. You get to choose 3 sides and 1 sauce. I got hummus, kale, and tomato. It was worth it except you only get one large slice of tomato, so I would order something else in the future. The person at the counter recommended the tzatziki sauce(a garlic yogurt sauce) which was really good. The chicken shawarma was decent and flavorful. TLDR: healthy Mediterranean food that I would give 3.5 stars, not really anything special. But the server was nice so I’ll give them 4 stars!

I had the lamb shawarma plate here with a side of grilled vegetables and side salad. The salad with feta cheese was the best part, the lamb was alright and the vegetables were subpar. This is a small hole-in-the-wall joint and has a nice little outdoor patio in back that is open during the day. I would come back if I were in the neighborhood and didn’t feel like spending much money.

Affordable, quick fresh food. We got their Lamb Shwarama plate and the lamb was well seasoned. It came with either a side of hummus or vegetables, and a salad. The salad dressing is refreshing and lemony. Would like to try the other items next time.

Has plenty of vegetarian options and apparently thr shawarmas are great — it also has garden seating for the summer. You won’t regret coming here!

I wasn’t that hungry so came by for a little snack. I tried the falafel wrap to test out the waters. I noticed my wrap was done quickly and that the falafel was already sitting out and just put into the wrap. I thought it would at least be a fresh one made out of the fryer so it would be hot. No that is not the case. The inside contained hummus and a cucumber salad type mix that was pretty good. Overall just thought it was okay — falafel not hot and not crispy was just an overall let down for me.

A little too salty and a little too sour for me. We got the Mediterranean Plate and Lamb/Beef Kabob Plate. The Lamb/Beef Kabob plate was much much better, it had rice, veggies, 2 kabobs but no hummus. I think if they had included hummus, it would have been much much better. The Mediterranean Plate was SOUR, I’m not sure what it was but the best part was the plain hummus without the chunky stuff like the other hummus had. Very filling for what you pay for. The falafels were crunchy but I prefer the ones at Sunrise Deli, those are my fav!

Have tasted great Beef Shawarmas in Davis, I decided to give SF ones a try. FOOD:(2 Stars) I got the Beef Shawarma(of course). The pita was very thin and therefore folded in many layers. There wasn’t that much beef and was definitely not a big fan of the garlic and tahini sauce they used — it was too sour for my taste. I like that they added tomatoes, but the cucumber was too sour and tangy. Maybe their other items are tastier, but I would not get their beef shawarma again. Price is reasonable. SERVICE: friendly and quick AMBIANCE: small and clean, single seats by the window, group tables inside and out. Very clean and water is self served.

Saw this place on Unilocal and I fell in love. I came here with a friend craving Mediterranean food and ended up grabbing the chicken hummus plate and it was delicious. They gave a large portion of chicken and hummus with a side of pita bread and you will be full after that. The hummus is just plain with a bit of olive oil and lemon juice I believe on top and having the pita bread and chicken with it gave it the perfect combo. The only down part I would say is that by the time you are full your mouth does get a bit dry from all the sodium on the chicken. There is also a backyard seating that is quite small but cute!

Within a four block radius of here there are about one million places to eat. Lop off those meals which run in excess of $ 12 and there’s still a decent number of spots. So why pick Yumma’s? As astute readers know, the quest for the well-priced Mediterranean platter is on. From high to low to everything in between I’m searching for that place(better yet, those places) that offer up the Mediterranean flavors and prices I experienced in Berlin. I’m sorry to report that Yumma’s is no Berlin. First though, what is Yumma’s doing right? Ultra casual dining(order and pay then take a seat), good prices, and the menu looks broad and encouraging. Where they lost me is in the flavors. Their Mediterranean Plate($ 8.75) sounded great(hot crisp falafel, hummus, tabbouleh, baba ghanoush, feta cheese, and warm pita bread) but something got lost between menu and plate. This food is filling and okay, but not memorable in a good way. The«Taste of the Mediterranean»($ 10.25), with shawarma meat(described as «lamb beef» — huh? — unless I misheard), hummus, baba ghanoush, falafel, tabbouleh, and warm pita bread was equally mediocre. My companion diner, when queried, responded tepidly with a shoulder shrug, «it’s dry… but it’s okay». Loosely interpreted translation: «good enough for this evening». We both found the baba ghanoush inedible due to an unappealing, slimy texture. If I lived in the area, despite the plethora of restaurants, I have a hunch I’d be back here on the regular, when the craving hit. No doubt I’d also always leave both full and disappointed. How difficult is it to get this food right? Apparently more difficult than it seems. The quest continues.

I am surprised to be slightly disappointed at my experience here considering the great reviews on Unilocal.I got the lamb and chicken combo kebab platter with a side of falafel. The meat was over cooked, lacking in flavor, and the texture was pretty tough to eat. The falafel was crusty and dry. Not sure if it was because I went during an off hour around 4pm and the food has been sitting around. Service could have been better too — the server behind the counter was really sarcastic the whole time and I honestly didn’t understand his humor. He did hook it up an extra falafel for my sister so I guess, thanks? There’s lots of seating inside and also a beautiful backyard outdoor seating available. Metered and street parking are available in the area. They accept credit cards. All in all, I’m sure the food here is good for the most part and maybe I just had random bad experience. That meal gave me a stomachache. Thank good for fennel tea. I won’t be coming back.
