The prices aren’t bad here, but there’s a reason. They make it very difficult for you to return items, but that’s why the prices are pretty good. There’s about dollar or two difference between here and Bed Bath and Beyond which might carry similar items. However, with BBB, you have peace of mind that if it’s not what you want, you can return it. Here, it’s a done deal. So unless you are certain that you want it, don’t buy it.

Really bad service. My mom bought a steam pot 10 days, since it’s too big she decided to return it. When i brought it back to return with a receipt. They said they refused to accept it because they can not resell. We are so upset i showed the receipt that we have 14 days to return, & it’s just 10 days only. The ladies work there are so rude & mean, she said this is the Asian store not like American store. We explained to them that it’s too big we decided not to keep it, & they still wouldn’t let us to return. We will never come back & buy again. They should do this kind of business in China. Not in America.

I came into Hawaii Home Center(old Howard’s) not really knowing what they sell since they just opened not too long ago. They had a surprisingly good selection of Asian brand skincare products that you don’t see everywhere. I picked up the Korean facial mask It’s Skin ‘Prestige Masque D’escargot’ for only 28.99($ 30+ elsewhere). They also had some Korean Facial masks for ONLY $ 0.69EACH! I bought one of each to try! :) I must say, this place is pretty impressive. They have good varieties on beauty care products from Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. They have so many different kinds of skin care, hair dyes, and other beauty stuff which are really popular in Asia. I also got 12 rolls pack of bathroom tissue as free gift because I bought over $ 30. Anyway, its useful! ;p

I originally was looking to purchase a dish washer from Howard’s but realized Howard’s moved to a different location. I walked in just because I was curious and had some time to spare. I was pretty impressed with the different small kitchen appliances, kitchenware, restaurant supplies, and even cleaning supplies. I wasn’t planning on getting anything but I stumble upon a stainless steel vacuum insulator mug for $ 27. I thought it was pricy but didn’t have one so I bought it to test it out! Let me tell you that I am so impressed with this mug. I always want my food or drink super hot. And hands down, it my drink was kept at a consistent hot temp. I had coffee in that cup since 9 am and even till 6 pm, the coffee was still hot. In the morning, the coffee was so hot that it burned my tongue. The mug is easy to access to drink. Just press a button and the top flips open. Cleaning is also easy too. I wished I bought this mug awhile ago. I don’t think I can drink hot drinks from any regular cup again! Btw, they even give away a free gift if you purchase $ 10 or more. I got a free roach spray as a gift. A little cheesy but it’s still a free gift! Lol

Mom and I checked out this place to kill time because every place we wanted to eat was hella packed on Mother’s Day between 1130am to 130pm. It was my Mom who had pointed out this place when we drove by, otherwise, I would have never thought about coming here. From the outside windows, I thought this place was a restaurant supplies selling place, but it’s more than that. Also, being that it was Mother’s Day and their Grand Opening Weekend, two things that happened: 1. For every woman who buys something at checkout, you’ll also receive a free rose with your color choice: red, pink or white rose with red tips. Mom and I got two red roses :) 2. For every $ 10, $ 30, $ 50 or $ 100 spent, you get to select a freebie gift that corresponds to the purchase amount you’ve spent. Mom got a 12 roll pack of toilet paper for a $ 30 pot I bought for her, and I got a Strawberry scented hand soap for the $ 10 I’ve spent. TIP: Split your purchases up if you’re with two ppl or more to get more freebies :)p This place used to be Howard’s TV& Appliances and now it’s called Hawaii Home Center. This place sells all kinds of cute lil, knick knacks from Japan, Korea, China and America, but heavily dominant towards Japanese and Korean items. They also sell assorted Asian cookware, kitchen items, household(in the center area of the store) and to the right section of the store — they sell Asian appliances(TVs, washers, dryers, stoves) as well as bedding, small furnitures, toys. Lastly, to the left of the store — they sell beauty and health supplies, and miscellaneous household items too. Come to think of it, this place would be like if Daiso, 99 Cents Store, and Big Lots had a baby, this place would be their hybrid baby, lol. Service — friendly and quick. Parking — street parking and they also have a big lot in the very back. When you park in the back, it’s pretty narrow upon entering, but it’s pretty spacious once you get to their store in the very back. Overall, a fun place to come and kill time and who knows, you might end up spending more than you thought you would, lol!
