30 minutes ago, I gave 5 stars for redeeming Unilocal checkin 10% off. They said«you must provide 5 stars and show it to us. Then we will give 5 stars». To be honest, I was going to give them 5 stars because food was good even service was just okay. They forced me to give 5 stars to get discount and I was not happy about this. Anyway, food was good

Super delicious, no-frills authentic Chinese«dry pot» dishes. Basically tastes like hot pot, fried. Choose a base, protein, then add whatever extras(veggies) etc. you want. We got the medium pot between 2 and managed to finish it(we were, however, starving). Expect a long wait at the door if you show up at 7 – 8 on a Saturday! Unilocal check in gives a 10% off $ 30+ offer but apparently you can’t use it unless you write a review.

Wonderful dry style hot pot, I had the rabbit and it was flavorful and the sauce was pungent and full of chunks of chilies, ginger, and garlic. The hot sesame noodles were enjoyable, hot in the temperature sense not the spicy sense, and had a nice springy feek. Definitely worth a visit for adventurous regional Chinese cuisine and a fun youthful vibe.

The pork feet is delicious! I can’t believe the waitress is making me write this, just for the 10% off when it says check-in for it… Make it clear. The servers are annoying. But their food is defiantly good. You can choose your spice, and sauce and meat and add-one. The portion is good to share and the small size is good to have for yourself! She’s even standing behind me while I write this. Please lady. Get lost

My Chinese friend from UCLA took me here. She said it was even better than places in China. TL;DR: ugh it was so good. Why do I have to live so far away from decent Chinese food. Dry pot is basically hot pot without the broth… but the concept is the same. You order your meats and add on various veggies and etc. We ordered a large which was about 42 after tax with addons. The large offes two meat options, so we chose lamb and frog. Delicious! Other options include: beef tendon, chicken, beef, pork, etc… Added on: lotus, enoki mushrooms, rice noodles, Chinese cabbage, and a couple others. Next time, I wanna try intestines, tofu, various other veggies… there were a couple dozen add-on options. Comes out in a huge bubbling dish… so amazing and the smell is awesome. The large could feed 3 healthy appetites easily(or two ravenous UCLA girls with a tiny box of leftovers). We got free iced chythemsemum tea which was great to cool down our spicy meal. We only ordered medium spicy which was probably«spicy» for American appetites. There is a «hot spicy» that my friend said is for real spicy lovers… it burns your eyes when the smoke gets close that kind of spicy. Beautiful Szechwan peppercorns has a numbing and flowery spicy taste. Everything was perfectly seasoned and it was so addictive. First time I’ve ever had dry pot and I’m in love. Honestly I love this more than hot pot. None of the flavors got diluted in a broth so everything just hit your tongue with a punch! Gonna take everybody and my mother here. I’m so sad I live so far from San Gabriel and awesome Chinese food. I should get a Smartcar or something to cut down on gas costs: P

Dry pot heaven. I heard this is the new trendy thing in China and I just happen to stumble into this restaurant today. From the menu, you get to pick any 2 meats(certain combinations are excluded) and you can also add other side items to the dry pot. We chose beef and pork feet and added tripe and rice noodles as the side items. You can’t go wrong with any combination as they all taste excellent. The service is decent and the ambiance is ok. This is not a fancy restaurant by any stretch of the imagination but the food is excellent and the price is fair. Will definitely return to try other combinations. Highly recommend!

We had the combination dry pot, spicy garlic Catfish and beef tripe. We added the imitation crab sticks. The order comes with veggies and fried potatoes, stir fried. The flavor of the dish is good. The large pot is good for 2 to 3people.

Horrible place, if there’s negative star, I’ll vote it! Dead roach found in the pot, and the waitress’ attitude was so bad, she even didn’t say sorry to us!

I was Maverickingly brave to try this place for the second time, especially after reading all the reviews about the discovery of roaches and bugs in dishes. I risked my life for fellow Unilocaler :) It is a very small establishment, only has about 10 tables, and can probably serve a max amount of 40 – 50 people. The menu is all about the dry pot. First, the customer will order the size, small for 9.99(lunch only), medium for 19.99, and large for 29.99. Then is the selection of the meat/protein for the dish, there is beef tendon, frog legs, pig feet, pork belly, beef tender loin, duck, chicken, all sorts of Asian cuisine delicacy. Finally, is to pick the level of spiciness. I would not dare to go for the hottest, I am more of a medium/mild person, and it was pretty hot. The roasted garlic flavored dry pot is one of my favorite by the way. It was fairly clean, the floor was clean, the utensils were clean, the bathroom was clean too. The floor of the bathroom was a bit slippery, user be aware. The dishes are pretty up to the standard of SGV dry pot. One of the side dish I enjoyed a lot was the pumpkin cake. It is a sticky type of sweet cake I like to eat to cleanse the palate after the flavor rich dry pot, along with a refreshing ice cold Cola, hmmm hmmm, heavenly.
