5 stars for Porkbelly Bun $ 3.5 — This is the bomb. Big soft steamed rice flour bun, braised porkbelly in soy based sauce, crunchy pickled mustard plant. That’s it, 3 components; put it together and it is so good. It is important that they wrapped it in a similar size plastic bag to keep it from falling apart as you eat it. 2 stars for Mango Tapioca $ 2 — First sip was OK, but after awhile, it got too starchy.

I work close to TSMC and thought I’d try them out — ordered the pork belly with rice meal that’s part of the lunch menu specials(that comes with black tea) — how I wish they had put more sauce on the rice, but the pork was tender + soy egg was yummy. I was going to give them 3 stars, but the extra star was for the mango tapioca. If you prefer mango tapioca(which is super yummy — highly recommended) instead of the black tea, you need to add $ 2.5 instead of paying an extra $ 3.5.

We got the beef over rice, chicken over rice, pork over rice and the stewed combo(2 and 3). My favorite was the pork over rice, the meat was very tender. The rice is more on the hard side, which I’m okay with, some people might think it’s undercooked. For the sides, the bamboo shoots and the egg were good, but the tofu wasn’t sliced so we were a bit disapponted. The chicken and beef over rice were good but not spectacular. For the stewed combo, I think the portions are too small for the price. The egg, tofu, seaweed combo was just okay. We also got the mango tapioca which was okay – the tapioca was too soggy. Overall the food was good for the price. They forgot one of our orders and insisted on delivering it over so one extra star for the good service!

They’re smart to park in front of TMSC which is a Taiwanese semi conductor company. We came looking for a taco truck but ended up here instead because the other one couldnt be found. They were basically out of everything around 1.30pm. Got the pork bowl over rice which comes with half a tea egg, bamboo and tofu. Flavors were good but the food was lukewarm. What hurt them most is they work really linearly. They could take a few orders and then pack some that are ready more efficiently then packing one order, then packing the next order, then leaving their customers who havent orderd to languish for 10 min.

Just moved from LA to Bay Area, was worried where to get good taiwanese food. Then I found this place, they serve excellent«LUWEI» which taste exactly like grandma’s secret recipe. Am so glad to get to know the good food truck, will definitely recommend it to friends.

Food was tasty! The food isn’t greasy at all. So glad there’s some serious Taiwanese food in bay area.

Fresh tasty, I found this new Taiwanese food truck a while ago, ever since they were starting business. I like their luwei very much, full of flavor but never too greasy. Buying a bento box from them is like my weekly treats.
