I used A Perfect Look for my wedding day based on the good reviews I viewed online. Patricia was absolutely amazing from the minute I met her
I first scheduled a pretrial with Patricia a couple months out from the wedding. Patricias assistant Charles was wonderful regarding quick email responses and scheduling. Patricia took all the time I needed to achieve the hair style I was looking for. We tried a couple different styles as well as veil/​hair piece styles. I truly felt beautiful after my pretrial was done and was excited as I had never really had both my hair and makeup done
The day of my wedding, Patricia Arrived at our rental house on time with all the necessary items. She kept all of us (myself, bridesmaids and mother) on schedule so that we were not stressed and it was actually a very relaxing morning. My hair and makeup again looked absolutely stunning and I felt the best I’ve ever felt.
Patricia is truly an artist and great at what she does. I highly recommend her to any potential bride in the San Francisco area (I was married in Calistoga up in Napa).

Patricia did the makeup and hair for all eight women in my wedding party this past September. That number includes me, my five bridesmaids, my mother-​in-​law, and my mom.
I’ll kick off this review by revealing that none of us eight are girly girls. If left to our own devices, I am convinced that we would have looked like a crew of seven-​year olds that got into their mothers’ makeup. There was no way that any of us could have successfully done our own hair and makeup for the wedding.
I combed the internet for weeks and got bids from at least twenty makeup and hair artists before choosing A Perfect Look. Long story short, Patricia won my business because she offers competitive pricing and is highly professional. She isn’t someone that you meet over the counter at Sephora that does hair and makeup as a hobby; it’s her livelihood and it shows.
Of all the hair/​makeup vendors I talked to and met with, only Patricia was confident enough to take on all eight of us without an assistant. I had doubts about it, but in the end I agreed because it would save me a TON of money.
Being the project manager that I am, had created a time line of who gets styled when and how long each person should take. When we fell behind schedule, Patricia magically made up the time. In the end, we even had time for touch-​ups. After driving for an hour and half from San Jose to Sausalito, Patricia worked from 9:30am straight through to 3:30pm without a break. I tried to get her to eat some lunch and relax for a few minutes, but this woman is the energizer bunny. She just keeps going and going…
Okay, so now you know that Patricia can help you stick to your project budget and timeline. Here’s where I’ll expand on her workmanship.
Bridal Makeup: I wanted to look like a better version of myself on my wedding day, not someone that my husband couldn’t automatically recognize. Patricia did that for me. She did it in a way that looked entirely natural and flawless. Talking about flaws – I had a ton. Just my luck, I broke out big time before my wedding. I’m talking about borderline pizza face; worse than puberty and more demoralizing because your wedding day is the one day in your life when you’re supposed to look your absolute best. Patricia was able to cover it all up without making it look like it was covered up. Aside from making my flaws disappear, the makeup was exactly what I wanted.
Bridal Hair: Patricia loves a challenge. I had a specific and somewhat complicated hairstyle in mind, so I took a photo of the hairstyle to Patricia for my pre-​trial. She had never done this style before, and she conceptually pulled it off at the pre-​trial and did an even better job on my wedding day. I say conceptually because my hair didn’t look exactly like the photo. The original ‘do was too deconstructed and loose to withstand hours of hugging, kissing, and dancing; so Patricia took some artistic liberties in order to make it work for a wedding setting. I can’t even count how many compliments I got on my hair. These were real compliments specifically about my hair, not your generic «oh, you’re such a beautiful bride» compliments.
Bridesmaids & Moms: I thought the bridesmaids and moms looked great; neither overdone nor underdone. They didn’t look as good as I did, but let’s level here – they weren’t supposed to. They looked put together, natural, and radiant. Exactly what I wanted.
Patricia is both an artist and a business woman. She also has a wonderful calming presence that helps soothe your nerves on your big day. You can trust that she knows what she’s doing. At times, she may come across as a bit strong-​willed, but she really does have your best interest in mind. A Perfect Look is a fantastic value and I would recommend Patricia to anyone that’s looking for a special occasion hair and makeup artist.

She did a wonderful job at my wedding! I had a total of five bride’s maids and myself that needed their hair and make-​up done which was a whole lot of work considering none of us are real make-​up girls. She came to the site with her bags in hand and got cracking at 730 in the morning. The look she created was natural and elegant which is exactly what I was going for.
My only complaint is that after explaining what I wanted for the bridesmaid hair — she recreated a VERY similar style as we originally planned I would have… Not at all what I was expecting. They looked great — but now, hours before the ceremony, and I had NO idea what to do with my hair. In the end we made a last min. change that actually went better than I had expected. She has a real eye for the beauty and wants you to be happy with the end result no matter what! Even if you give her a concept she will run with it and the results are exactly what you want even if you didn’t know it at first!
The pictures turned out great and the make-​up/​hair looked wonderful. My Husband was extremely pleased — and best of all I still looked like myself! It wasn’t so over the top that I was uncomfortable. I was able to go the whole night with very little touch up and felt absolutely beautiful! Even with the small hick-​up in the beginning, in the end I was extremely happy with the results. She is ready to please and will go that extra mile to ensure you are happy with the results.
She is also extremely nice and easy to deal with. It was a real pleasure. I would certainly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding!

A friend recommended Patricia to me, and I was a bit wary of having makeup done at all since I hardly ever wear makeup.
But Patricia made it all easy and natural — she made me look like myself, but a very beautiful version of myself!
When I went to her house for the initial appointment, she even noticed that my car was smoking after the trip up the hill (her house has a beautiful view) and asked her husband to get oil for my car. Full-​service hair and makeup!
She made me very comfortable during that initial appt and I felt like I was in good hands and I could stop worrying about my hair and makeup on the big day. Patricia had several hair pieces that are custom-​made to sell to me, but she also accepted gracefully my decision to use flowers from my florist in my hair.
On the wedding day in April, Patricia came to our hotel room near the wedding site early in the morning (1 pm wedding) and did hair and makeup for myself and my maids of honor (my sisters). We really appreciated having her calming influence as we got ready for the big day.
Many compliments during the wedding on how good and yet natural and like myself I looked! And I still get compliments when people see the pictures!
