AnT Swim School

Here I am again, 2 years later, writing another rave review for Ana and Terence at AnT Swim School. They just keep getting better! This winter, they purchased a huge inflatable dome for the pool, which allows them to keep the pool warm and open year-​round for lessons… hooray! They pack the dome away during the summer months, so you can enjoy the sunshine. They recently had a brand-​new pool heater installed, so the water is always the perfect temperature. As their swim lessons have expanded, they have added to their teaching staff, and everyone is so friendly and have such positive attitudes. It’s a very comfortable, family-​friendly atmosphere.
Our son has continued to make fabulous progress under their teaching, and he absolutely loves going to his lessons each week. I can’t recommend them enough… if you’re going somewhere else to swim, you’re probably paying too much and not getting nearly the same amount of friendly, personal attention that you would receive here!

Ant school has been great with my 3 year old in swim lessons. The instructors are all patient and kind… and Ana has been great to work with and plan out lessons. They’re also flexible on timing which is huge for me! The baby class is adorable too! Would be nice to have a little shade while watching lessons or a place to change but those are minor!

We love Ant swim school! Specially now that they have added a dome. Excited about swimming all year around.

I can’t say enough good things about this swim school. The instructors take special care to really get to know each child’s individual needs and know when to encourage and push them, and when to give them space. I have talked to many parents who have tried other swim schools first and all say that nothing compares to Ant Swim School. The level of experience combined with how good they are with kids is exceptional, and now that they can be open year round (thanks to the dome), I am thrilled! Thank you Ana and Terence for caring so much about my kids. I have seen them make so much progress in the years swimming here!

My family loves AnT! We had tried two other swim schools and it just wasn’t clicking for my kids. We started at AnT last summer and my kids were swimming after their first session. We’ve done several more sessions and my kids are great swimmers, love swimming, and beg to go to the pool everyday. The teachers are great swim teachers but also really care about my kids. I found the registration to be simple, the website is easy and Ana has gotten back to me quickly when I have had questions.

Love it and everything about this school. Zero complaints, great teachers and easy to communicate with. My four year old went from fear to swimming in a month! Nuff said!

We love AnT swim school! Anna is very helpful and responsive and our instructor Jaoquim is so good with the babies! He was calm and understanding even when the babies were screaming and crying! We will definitely be joining the baby class again next summer!

We love the Ant swim school. Teachers are very experienced, patient, caring and professional. They know their goals and achieve it. Doesn’t get better than that !
We have tried 2 different swimming places in past 3 years, before trying Ant. Our kids (3 and 5 yrs old) were just getting comfortable in water at those places. Here they went from being comfortable to swimming by themselves in 2 months !
We are very excited to see what all our kids will learn in next upcoming year.
Our teachers were Shanni, Michael, Nick, Anna and Terrence. Every teacher was engaging, caring and made the classes fun. Our kids feel at home with this loving and nurturing environment.

Organization has gotten better. Communication with the staff has improved. After being in the class for a season my son did improve his swimming. He enjoyed it so much he asked to be enrolled again. The rec swimming hours have changed probably because there are more classes going on. There’s still 4 kids per half hour class which limits the time with the teachers greatly: about 5 – 7 minutes of actual instruction each then ~5 minutes of play time

I use to love this school when Isarel was running it. He was great with the kids, good at communicating, and patient as an instructor. Both my girls quickly adapted swimming and loved it. I was happy to support the business and over the last 5 years would return every summer.
However since Ana has taken over the school, I can’t say that I am as thrilled. Last year we had issues trying to enroll the kids in the classes. Registration was difficult and when I arrive I never knew what was going on. The staff were not helpful and indifferent and would just walk pass me without assisting. However, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned again this summer.
My first experience this year is making me search out elsewhere for lessons. Not because I think their lessons are poor, but they are completely unorganized. I had come in the previous week to enroll my daughters and was told to come back the following week. Sounds good so far. I arrive 15 minutes early before lessons to enroll my daughter. The staff member behind the desk did not assist me and told me Terence would help me when he gets out of pool. At this point lesson is suppose to start and yet no one has helped me yet. I told my daughter to go to her lessons while I enrolled her. They would not let her in the pool and started arguing with me about why she can’t swim. Terence finally comes over to help me and I come into the office. However some potential new hire comes in and he starts helping them out. At this point lessons has been going on for 15 minutes. I sit there for another 10 minutes and people are coming in and out. After 25 minutes I give up and go outside ready to pack up and they go over to my daughter to tell her she can go in the pool. I assume they are expecting me to pay for the lessons for the full 20 minutes out of 45 that she got. No one comes over to me to communicate if she’s enrolled, how much I owe or anything. Instructors ignore me, Terence is walking around the premises, and Ana is also completely ignoring me (although she had no problem interfering before). I finally go to Terence and he saids I’ll get an invoice later.
I am at this time on the fence on if I should continue lessons. My kids enjoy swimming and their lessons. Their instructors are knowledgeable and good with the students. However, the last 2 years of dealing with people who can not communicate with their clientele is more than frustrating.

My son is 3 and he has been going to swim school here for 4 years.
So wonderful.
One week of swim camp during spring break (We joked that it was toddler «Spring Training») got my kid face down and kicking to the side of the pool.
But, besides getting amazing swim lessons, AnT rents out the pool for private parties.
I have thrown a ton of parties. You know those fancy jump house/​trampoline/​indoor playgrounds are not cheap! This was a great 3 hour party that really didn’t break the budget. We hosted 60 people– lots of kids with parents. They provided lifeguards. It was great! The pool doesn’t look huge, but it held everyone and still felt spacious. My son was in the water 2.5 hours out of the 3 hours that we were there. Mario was great.

Our 5 year old grandson attended last year. He progressed so much in his sessions last Summer. He progressed from fear of putting head in water to swimming. He loved Coach T!

After 2 seasons, my daughter (now 4 years old) has moved up to Level 3. I am amazed at the progress she has made while attending this swim school. I have nothing but kinds words about Ana, Terence and their staff. They are all very patient, attentive and just incredible with the kids.

Both of my kids have taken lessons here now — my 7 year old has done a few camps on his break and my husband does the baby classes with my toddler. Terence has been the teacher for both classes.
My son has made incredible progress! Last year, he had just learned to dog paddle a bit on his own and now he is able to swim the length of the pool. It’s so nice to see him so comfortable swimming. (This is a kid that needed a bath hat to keep the water out of his eyes until he was five.)
As for the baby, I am a true believer now in swim lessons for babies. She loves the water. See above son that screamed bloody murder when rinsing hair. Also, the class is just a fun activity to do with your child.

Wonderful! I was looking for a new and better place to send my kids to for swim lessons. My 10 year old knew how to swim, but needed to brush up on his skills. My 7 year old was a child that prior to coming to Ant Swim School refused to let go of the stairs or wall while in the pool. And forget about the deep end! He simply wouldn’t consider it. After a couple weeks of summer lessons, my 10 year old was fine tuned and my 7 year old turned into a fish! I ended up signing the 7 year old up for additional fall lessons and he has become a wonderful little swimmer! The instructors here are fabulous. They know exactly how to get on the kids levels yet maintain the kids respect. They teach them the core skills of swimming and then build upon that. The classes are not over crowded so the kids get a great amount of personal attention. We will definitely be returning to Ant Swim School!

This is a really well run swim school! We’ve been to several other schools but this program is by far one of the best! The coaches are so great with my special needs kid! And, she’s a great swimmer now! We are going to start going more days, great exercise for our girl!

It is a professional, caring, and clean pool and program. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Worth every penny. I’m telling all of my friends and family about it. What an impressive school.

We really enjoyed enrolling our 2 year old daughter here for the summer. We weren’t sure what to expect since she hasn’t taken a swim class ever but loves any pool we visit while vacationing. Her first lesson here the instructor asked if she had taken classes before because she loved it so much. The water was warm and I liked that it’s a salt water pool as opposed to a chlorine pool. Terrence was great with the kids and it was amazing to see the other kids who started off so scared and timid of the water to being completely comfortable within a week or two. They submerged them right off the bat and I was shocked to see my daughter go under without freaking out. The free swim after classes was great and they sectioned off half the pool for it so there was plenty of room to roam around.
The only con I have is that seating around the pool was scarce, so getting there early was key. Also, the bathrooms weren’t the greatest but it’s what can be expected at a public park bathroom, relatively clean though. The rates are really reasonable and hosting a party here is affordable as well. Looking forward to starting our daughter up again next year.

I hope Elly X. allows her son to take a few more lessons. She will definitely see the school in a new light.
My boy started taking swimming lessons last year when it was still Sparkle Swim School. We stopped for 6 months due to a family emergency in Singapore. When we returned in Jun, the school is changed to AnT Swim School.
Having enrolled my son twice with different coaches, I understood how «lost» a new parent felt when you bring your child for the first lesson. Based on my observation, all coaches in the pool are focused on teaching kids in the water. They make no attempt to chat with parents at the side of the pool because they have their eyes only on the kids. However, I am sure most parents would agree that the kids’ safety comes first and this is what they should be doing.
For new students and parents, try to checking out more information on the coach at the office. Honestly, after the first lesson, the transition is quite smooth. My boy recognizes his coach. He will wait for the students of the previous class to get out of the pool before going over to his coach.
Observing all the lessons by the side of the pool, I witnessed the patience of all the coaches, how they encourage the kids and make swimming fun for them. For the beginner class, there are some kids who are water phobic. Yes, the coaches may sometime have to spend a little more time on them. Most of the children got over that initial fear quickly.
Waiting for the coach, seems like a waste of time. But, my son has learnt by observing another student in the same class. With a slightly competitive nature, he feels that he can achieve whatever his peers did. And to be honest, a young child neither have the stamina nor concentration to continuously swim and kick for half and hour.
So far, I have never had any problem waking my boy up from his afternoon nap and getting ready for his swim class. Simply because he looks forward to his lessons. It is so much that he insisted on going for his lesson even with a scrap on his knee.

I am 33 years old and started adult swim lessons with Israel. I am a novice and have always been scared of water, because of an accident I had when I was young. I never thought I could get myself to float in water forget even to swim. All that changed after a single class with Israel.
He understood that I was a beginner and started by making me feel comfortable in water. He would handhold me like how you would get a baby to walk the first time. That gave me so much confidence to be in the water. You wont believe, at the end of the my first class I could float on my tummy and swim 7 – 10 feet distance. No kidding. I was surprised myself. My wife was too. I have noticed Israel can quickly gauge the comfort level of his student and tailor the lessons accordingly.
I am through with 2 lessons, so obviously this review is a bit early. But given what I could do after just the first lesson, I had to write this review.
By the way, my son started his lessons a couple of weeks ago with Ricky. And he is a great coach too. My son loves the coach as he keeps the lessons filled with fun. He’s got lot of patience too. I have seen some kids cry to get into the water, but Ricky makes them feel comfortable with his fun ways. I can see my son making good progress and am considering increasing the frequency of his lessons from once to twice a week.
Sparkle swim is a great place for both adults and kids. I don’t know about other swim classes, so obviously cant compare. But you can’t go wrong with Sparkle Swim.
