Beautiful Day

Wow! This was my son’s first introduction to community service — and what a great intro! I am not affiliated with the church or this organization, but we signed up and went into Branham High to help clean the school and create a peaceful garden for the teachers. I must say, cleaning gum off the undersides of the desks was NOT a fun experience — but certainly brought home the ‘other’ side of carelessly sticking gum where it doesn’t belong! After we dusted and cleaned classrooms, we were assigned to the patio to help create a friendly garden for the teachers’ lounge. What a wonderful experience — so many volunteers and guiding hands all helping to create a beautiful peaceful garden for the teachers — and, frankly, so much learning for my child and his friend about how to create this environment. Wonderful experience, wonderful people — would totally recommend this opportunity to all :)
