I am not a skeptic or a true believer but just curious enough to check out Berkeley Psychics(in San Jose). The thing that really lead me here was the price, it was cheap enough that if I left thinking it was a bunch of BS then it didn’t really break the bank. I know some Psychics that charge $ 200 in downtown which isn’t really worth the experiment. My session was around $ 20-$ 30, just think of it as the cost of a movie with food. I got a student, which I think is a cheaper rate, I thought he did a great job and was very professional. You might have to call and ask what day advanced students vs teachers are performing the reading. It is slightly awkward, you just sit there while staring at your reader while they close their eyes for roughly an hour and a half. Next time I’ll bring a notepad to jot down what he was spurring at me. You get the low down on your past lives, your spirit guides and get to ask three questions. It wasn’t really, «What’s my future hold» reading but more of a way to understand yourself a little better through what kind of aura and vibes you’re sending out to the universe. Interesting(and cheap) enough that I would give it another go. Great place to host a group reading if that do that. Then everyone can go for a round of bowling next door at Cambrian Bowl!

Price is right. $ 30 for 2 hours, Or at the Fairs: three 15 minutes readings for $ 30 Whether you believe in psychics or not, it’s fun to talk about my life’s purpose. For me, a good insight can make a world of difference in how I approach a problem at work, or whatever. Trouble is, I never know if it’ll be a useful session, or someone just telling me what i know already. That’s why I want cheap readings. What I most like about Berkeley Psychic Institue is that nobody is making a living thru psychic readings. Instead, all the readers are normal people who are reading others as a spiritual practice. The theory is that its easier to see your own bad habits in someone else, then yourself. Also, spiritual readings help them release their own painful energies. I tried traditional psychotherapy 15 years ago(actually HMO style, so not as good). It felt degrading. They assume you’re disfunctional, and are looking for the right label. Also, they are expensive, and i’m essentially paying to interview them. I spend 3 sessions, and $ 300 to find out it wasn’t helpling. What I like about psychics is how they reframe something painful into something positive, like a soul’s mission.
