good but took time to install

I was asked by David and Eric of «Budget Blinds serving North San Jose» to move my review here since I got the two budget blinds confused. David and Eric were very nice to tell me that Mike owns this budget blind instead and were willing to take my living social coupon. Too bad I had asked for a refund from living social already.
Here is my original review:
This place is horrible. I saw a coupon on living social for $ 250 credit. I called a few places and finally one guy named Mike told me he takes that coupon. We went ahead and bought the coupon. When I called to make an appointment with this Mike guy, he claims he knows nothing about the coupon. What a big waste of my time!

after my home renovation, i looked into finishing off the project with a nice set of shutter blinds. why would anyone finish up a costly quality renovation w/​a cheap set of window treatments, right?
not knowing how expensive these window treatments would be, i phone several local shutter dealers and installers and was shocked by the price range to complete 4 large (2 front and 2 rear) windows being $ 2500 for 2 windows (dealer #1) and $ 3600+ for 4 windows (dealer #2). Pricing was based on a composite material, white in color w/​install included.
not being totally satisfied w/​quote #2 i went ahead and phoned up budget blinds after a recommendation from a coworker and i glad i did.
i setup an appointment w/​mike and his wife lilian for a sunday consultation for my convenience. they spent a good amount of time measuring my windows and went over so many details on shutter style, types, colors, opening configuration, trim and frame options to the point of nausea. after about an hr, they presented their pricing options, which to my surprise blew away the other 2 quotes by about $ 7-​$ 15 a sqft and even bested my coworkers entire scope of work by $ 4/​sqft.
needless to say, i made the decision to go w/​mke and lilian on all 4 windows in composite white w/​wide shutters. left a 50% deposit and they returned 6weeks for the installation. install took a good portion of half a day and went smoothly. they returned the next day to finish up the sealing/​caulking of the seams and cleanup.
overall, i couldnt have been happier w/​the results and not to mention with the lowest price of all the places i canvased.
in summary, the highlights of going w/​mike and lilian were:
–polite, professional, no pressure service
–were able to provide recommendations on shutter styles and configurations, which becomes especially important for those new to shutters. the endless options again can make one sick
–great quality work, very clean in that no mess was made in the house, cleanup superb as if the shutters have been at my house for years.
–most importantly, the best price and is willing to beat others out there.
cons:
–takes 6 weeks to customize/​manufacture but this is an industry standard. other 2 places i called had similar estimates on the timeframe to complete the shutters.
would i go w/​budget again? most definitely and i have already recommended mike/​lilian to 2 friends of mine and just as myself, both were extremely happy w/​the service and results.
make sure you call the correct budget blinds as there appears to be more than one dealer servicing the area.

I called to have the valance put back up after it fell off. The owners were very responsive and helpful. They came out right away and fixed the problem very well. I will definetly use them in the future! Great service and very professional!
