Candyland Cuts For Kids

They do that best kids hair cuts ever! Super clean and sanitary … Even the kids play area hardly had dust. That means a lot because I’m a hair stylist also and know how hard it is with constant hair cuts going on. I know it’s strange that I don’t cut my kids hair cuts but I don’t cut hair at home due to not wanting to clean it there. I’ve been coming here for 6 years and even my husband gets his hair cuts here. Love Lynn and the staff!

My 21 month old just had his hair cut here and it went great! He screamed his head off the last few times at Kinder Cuts– this place was so much better! He was much more comfortable, less afraid, they were more patient, and his haircut was great! Affordable prices too.

Both of my kids are set at this place now. Very friendly people and nice here and simple and straight no time wasted

Terrible customer service first of all! I have been coming here for a very long time now and I’ve always been happy, however this time his usual stylist was unavailable, is we went with the lady that was. She left his hair SO uneven so I pointed it out to the owner (I think) who then had someone else «fix» it but then they went so short that they left him with a bald spot on the back of his hair and an uneven hairline. 6 data befo re Christmas! Their response was «we already told you we won’t charge you this time we can’t do anything else for you bye!» After all this time coming here and always recommending friends to bring their babies here, I regret it. I will definitely be telling everyone I know about my experience because this was completely unacceptable. These people do not know how to own up to their mistake!

15 months old, never had a hair cut, and was looking pretty shaggy.
Obviously experienced with only having a very short window of time to work with on the little ones, Lynn plowed right through, leaving us a little gentleman.
We’ll be back.

I am very impressed with how good my sons hair turned out! The people there are very friendly. The lady who cut my sons hair was very patient with my wiggly little 1 year old. We were a walk-​in and came in around 10AM and they took us in as quickly as they could. I would highly recommend this place for kids haircuts.

We have been taking our 3 kids here since my daughter was 3, she’s now 5. And my son’s first haircut.
Never any issues until this weekend. We took our 3 kiddos ages 5, 3, and 17 months. We prefer Lynn, but were told she had 1 person ahead of us. So against my better judgement, we decided to have my daughter’s hair cut by another lady in order to speed up the process of having three kids who need cuts. I explained that I wanted a short cut that curled under. She proceeded to cut her hair straight across with no tapering to allow it to curl under. It’s a mess and will need to be redone.
After Lynn was done, we had the 17 month old get his hair done. She’s great. He was fussy and she was able to work with him. When he was done, we were told someone made an appointment with Lynn, so our other son would have to wait. Ok fine we can wait. Well 2 people later we were told it would be one more person before we could be seen by Lynn. We were already there an hour and a half. We didn’t wait and left with one kid haircutless, one kid with a botched haircut, and one successful.
We WON“T be coming back.

The woman that cut my kids’ hair was very sweet and understanding. My son had a hard time with it being his first time here. His hair came out pretty good, seeing as he was sitting on my husband’s lap the whole time. She tried to strap him in forcefully but we didn’t want that. My daughter’s bang trim left a bit to be desired. She ended up with a very blunt bang when I would prefer a bit more texture.
The part that bummed me out there most was when I presented my Unilocal offer for a free bow. The cashier informed me my daughter already received it. It was a small bow the stylist had already put in her hair (I hadn’t mentioned the offer to her). It was a same type of bow every little girl in the shop had received as well. Doesn’t seem right to me — I saw larger bows in the case as well, but he assured me that the bow she got was the one she was supposed to receive.
I think I’ll be going back to Chocolate Mousse in LG from now on. Prices are comparable, quieter atmosphere, and great haircuts and bang trims.

Great place, and so nice, my 4 year old normally hates haircuts but loved coming here! We will be back for sure

Great place for a kids cut. They are really gentle and patient with little ones. Only knocking off one star because it can get super hot without a/​c and many of the toys were broken.

Good for the emergency haircut when you kids give their little brother a hair cut or good for a walkin. The place is clean and kids love the toy area while they are waiting.
Prices are reasonable and the staff is quick and friendly.

I love this place! Lynn always does a great job on my sons hair. He has a hard time still and she is very patient with him and it always comes out good! Book an appointment though because it gets pretty busy.

This place is amazing! Lynn did a phenomenal job and was so patient with my son. She asked for what I wanted and was detailed in my son’s first cut. Love this place!!!

After many more visits over two years, and a trip elsewhere, I’m knocking off a star. The cuts are good, but there was always something… One time the bangs were too short, another the front of the bangs were longish, but the temples were short (it looked weird), then I got them to keep the bangs and temples long enough, but the back stayed long too– which was the point of the haircut.
At my last visit, I saw the main stylist fix the hair of a five year old who’d taken scissors to his own hair. She somehow worked his hacked-​up mop into something normal looking, so they do good work here for certain head-​shapes and tastes, but not quite ours.

My son fussed the entire time and she never once complained or seemed irritated. I of course apologized a million times, but she just kept going and offering distractions. I will only be going here for lil mans hairdos from now till he’s big (which will never happen if I have my way). Plus they put on Thomas for my son, and let him pick his lollipop, and they were fast and when I asked they only used scissors, super hard to do on a 2 year old. The play area was a bonus as well. Definitely recommend!

Customer service is fantastic and the lady that cut my almost 2 year old daughter’s hair (forgot her name!) was very patient and sweet. The wait was a bit long but I was a walk-​in and even then we were seen in a decent amount of time. Thank goodness for the toy section and the big screen playing movies for the kids! The haircut came out great and they even gave my daughter a free bow clip and a lollipop!

I love this place! I am one picky mom and Lynn always get it right. My 2 year old has his good days and bad days l, yet Lynn always manages to get his haircut right. Thanks Lynn for always making our haircut visit a success. I have to say Lynn’s husband is very nice. Over all I am a happy momma when I leave Candyland

I’ve taken my 2-​year-​old son to candyland since his first birthday and we love it! The owners are so accommodating! The haircutting station seats are fun cars and the buckles are very secure. The buzzers produce a soft sound rather than a standard loud buzz. If that isn’t enough, they have a huge tv playing current children’s movies and lollipops to distract the kids. Make sure you bring a photo and don’t be afraid to give input during the haircut.

My son was born with a ton of hair and it had grown out of control! My mom calls him Mowgli, so that is what he was for Halloween and my husband and I decided that after the holiday, it was time for a big boy cut. We live in the Central Valley and looked for places that were designed for kids, but didn’t find anything. We are from San José and in town all the time, so I decided to look there.
I never had a great feeling about Kinder Cuts and didn’t think Schroeder was around anymore but I eventually came across reviews for Candyland.
Overall it looked pretty good with a few bad situations thrown in. I noticed that there were a lot of reviews for one particular lady, but when it came time for us to make our reservation, we couldn’t remember her name!
We made reservations for 5pm on Wednesday night and arrived around 4:45pm. When we walked in, there wasn’t anyone there.
As soon as we walked in, they were very welcoming and my 1.5 year old son immediately loved the police cars and fire trucks that the kids get to sit in. Did they know the drill… kid in seat, seat belt, TV on, toy… let’s get this show on the road.
Thankfully I got Lynn and she was amazing!!! I was so impressed by the amount of work that she actually put in to my sons haircut. $ 17 and 20 – 25 minutes later, my son looked clean cut and adorable!
She asked very simple questions before she got started and knew exactly what we wanted… keep it a little long, clean up to the neck, show the ears.
She was very gentle with my son but man was she quick! You could tell that she was specialized in kids haircuts. Luckily my son didn’t cry and only squirmed a little towards the end, but Lynn was ready with a toy, or pointing out something on the TV, or playing with the steering wheel…
She wet his hair, used scissors to take off most the length, blended it, and used the electric shears to clean up his sideburns and blend it even more. My husband was so impressed with the detail that he wanted his hair cut! If we would’ve had time, he would have. They will do «mommy» and «daddy» hair cuts also.
The time we went was perfect. No distractions of other kids screaming or making him turn his head. As we started to leave around 5:20, it started getting crowded.
They put several «first cut» locks in a little envelope for us to take home and cherish.
Lynn was awesome and we will definitely go back to her!
