Capelli Couture Salon

If you’re a new client looking into trying this salon I’d suggest going somewhere else. I had very high expectations given the 5 star reviews. Though after my visit, it’s evident many of their clients are friends and people that know the stylists.
I had an appointment with Jessica. After reading her reviews and seeing pictures of her work I was under the impression I’d leave completely satisfied with my hair and visit. In one review, someone mentioned how patient and helpful she was but this seems to be untrue. I came in wanting to lighten my hair, unsure if I wanted to touch up a grown out balayage from before or dye the whole base completely. She seemed to be very unwelcoming and apathetic from the start. I waited around in her chair for 15min with hardly any recognition until she finally walked over and asked halfheartedly what she would be doing. I wanted her input with what I should do and she was very little help with deciding what style and color we should do. Finally we settled with «full balayage highlights.» The whole process took a while and she was very obvious about speeding the process along. I have long, thick asian hair and she failed to consider parting my hair to ensure she gives a natural look all over. The highlight are very streaky, uneven and unnatural looking. Also, I mentioned specifically I didn’t want brassy, orange hair and though she tried, the toning process was unsatisfactory. When it came to styling, she was definitely rushing me out of the chair although there was hardly anybody in the salon. She «straightened» my hair, but the end result was very halfassed and mediocre. Overall, I left feeling like my hair was butchered. She is a new stylist and her work is still very amateurish.
This is the last time I try giving a small salon like this a chance. Let them stick to their usual clients. I would never recommend this salon or stylist to anyone.

I love coming to see Cookie and having her work her magic on my hair! She is detailed and knows what she’s doing! I don’t trust other hair dressers but I trust her with my hair cuts and color. The salon is super cute also! Everyone is friendly. I highly recommend this place and Cookie!

I have been trying to find a regular salon for quite a while now. I was looking for a place that could fit me in for a hair cut and balayage the day before christmas eve. I called around and Capelli Couture was able to book be for an appointment the very next day. Jessica was the stylist that had a spot open, so I just booked an appointment with her in hopes that it wouldn’t end with a disaster. Jessica did such an amazing job with the color and the cut; I left with a smile on my face. I just had a second appointment with her this past week and I was not disappointed. The staff and her made me feel so welcomed, and I felt extremely comfortable around her. The place is very well maintained and they have competitive prices. I look forward to booking another appointment with them.

All I can say is WOW. I’ve definitely found my new hair family with Capelli Couture! I had come to Jessica back in February for a color correction, and was blown away by her empathy and compassion for what I was going through. She fixed my color disaster for an extremely affordable price, and I left feeling like I finally found a hair stylist willing to take a little extra time with me and my hair needs.
Four months later, and Jessica has won me over again. I came into Capelli for some touch up high lights and left happier and more confident with my hair than I have in YEARS. My hair has always been one of my biggest insecurities. It’s on the finer side, and I have done so much processing to it over the years that it lacks volume and that soft shine we girls dream about. Jessica literally spent the first hour and a half of my appointment discussing all the different options available to me to help achieve my hair goals. She was so patient, kind and reassuring throughout my appointment, and I can’t thank her enough for the time she spent with me.
Jessica introduced me to «The Fall» a type of hair extensions that fits onto the crown of your head and gives you extra root lift, volume and fullness. This has literally changed my life. The confidence I feel about my hair now is indescribable, and I truly can’t thank Jessica and Maria enough for my experience at Capelli.

Cookie did an amazing job on my sisters hair! She is completely in love with it! She has waited forever to get her hair done. So glad she able to get exactly what she wanted for it being the first time doing her hair!

I got my hair colored for the first time today and Jessica was so patient with me while I showed her all of my pictures and she even gave me advice on what she thought would look good.
Even during the process of hair coloring she made me feel really comfortable and unworried about my hair looking totally bad.

I have been coming to Maria for about 5 years… maybe longer I’ve lost track! I don’t think I can say more than she’s nothing short of amazing. I never NOT liked my hair. Ever. I always left feeling great. She’s detailed and always finds a way to compliment your traits. I love her so much! The entire staff is amazing. Great people, super knowledgeable and always up to date. They don’t fry your hair either. I can go on forever but really the best salon I have ever been to… hands down. No comparison. they rock. Period.

Absolutely love this place! I have been a client of Maria’s for many years, and also referred several people. The salon style is gorgeous, filled with awesome people, and good vibes. I started with black box dyed hair and went to platinum blonde. Depending on the season, I like to do low lights, and also will throw in dark chunks of brown. No matter what we do I always leave the salon a happy client!

I’ve known Maria for at least 7 years. I have two daughters and we all go to Maria. I have blonde hair and she is great at color with just enough highlighting. She does a great job cutting and helping me stay in style. I also love the décor in the salon and the occasional glass of wine or snack!
Everyone there is friendly and helpful, too. Can’t say enough good things about Maria and Capelli Couture.

I’ve been going to Maria for the past 5 years for cut and color. She is absolutely AMAZING!!! She is literally a hair genius. I use to be so scared to try anything new and over the years of building trust and friendship I’ve now gotten to the point where I wana change my hair color every month when I come in for my touch ups. I’m not talking about ombres or highlight/lowlight…I’m talking about drastic color changes that I would only do with someone that I trust and I completely trust Maria. She has amazing ideas, knows what will work on my hair and what won’t, always keeps my hair healthy. She is so knowledgeable about hair and has literally taught me sooooooo much. She is always improving her technique and skills. I would hands down recommend Maria for any of your hair needs.
All the girls at Capelli Couture are so talented wether it’s with hair or makeup. The talent in this salon blows my mind. I’ve never felt so comfortable and welcomed by people in a salon before.
I was just there recently and decided to go full on pink and of course trusted no one but Maria to do it. SHE DID THE MOST AMAZING JOB!!! No joke… these pictures don’t lie.

I came here today for the first time to visit Christine G. for a highlight touch up/​partial highlight. Not only did she take her time establishing what I needed and wanted, she looked through my color to determine what my previous stylist did to ensure that the color matched and blended naturally. She took her time to ensure my roots were no longer exposed, even when I pull my hair back… and it looks fabulous! I always find that stylists are rushing through missing the details that refine your look. That was NOT the case with Christine.
I should tell anyone reading this review that I am a total hair snob. I freak out if my hair is not right and am always nervous trying out a new salon/​stylist. Christine is an experienced stylist with a very good eye. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a stylist who pays close attention to your needs and with the experience to know how to sharpen your look. I’m thoroughly impressed, and that is not an easy feat.

first off, maria did my hair at another salon since 2009 i think. geez time flies… i have really long thick hair and keep the color blue-black…i’m a simple girl, but trusting stylists with long hair is terrifying. i’ve had some weird cuts in my long hair history… maria has always listened to what i wanted and practically doubled as my therapist during stressful times ;-)
so when she was opening up HER OWN salon, yes i was going to support her! she is a true artist and loves what she does. I knew with a new business transition she was going to be in high demand, but she put my mind at ease and that is how i met Christine to take over my hair. I love Christine and she really understands how to cut my bangs! that is sooooo important because some stylists can cut them way above your eyebrows and i do NOT have the face for that or i would be making money as a bettie page look-​alike!
the salon is super cute on the heart of downtown willow glen. all the girls are pretty damn amazing here and have amazing hair/​makeup portfolios including Ashley… she has never done my hair, but i met her around the same time as maria at the other salon and i’ve seen her perform miracles. #teamcapelli

Today was my first time visiting. I called to schedule a same day appointment and got one right away. I would definitely recommend Eneida who helped me with layering and a loose curl look. She did great considering I have really thick hair. ($ 60 for haircut with layering)

Absolutely loved my haircut and deep condition that I had done by Jessica yesterday.
I have long hair and usually people get scissor happy and cut too much, but Jessica made sure she understood what I wanted and achieved it perfectly. Not only is she great at her job, but she is a sweetheart and very easy and fun to talk to.
I would recommend her to anyone and I will continue to see her for all of my hairs needs :)

Maria is a miracle worker. my hair has gone from a dark, red based brunette to a beautiful ash platinum blonde in a matter of 6 months. Yes, there is some breakage and yes it does depend on the condition of your hair. She has managed to make every color stage in between these two spectrums look gorgeous and I’ve gotten compliments from strangers on every color since going to Maria. She recently put in hot heads extensions and matched them perfectly. She is a true artist and I wouldn’t trust my fragile locks to anyone else!

Everyone here is amazing but today Jess did my hair, she does such an amazing job! She made sure my hair was PERFECT and EXACTLY what I wanted. She also was able to educate me more on my hair as well recommending product for me to use. She used the ProFiber shampoo and conditioner on my hair and having it be bleached from a white platinum blonde, to dark to blonde to natural, nothing had ever felt as good as the shampoo and conditioner by ProFiber. I fell in love with it and purchased the set the set includes shampoo, conditioner a leave in and recharge treatments that I used every 4^th wash. Definitely will be back to have her do my hair again! She also does makeup which is amazing! I looked at her makeup and hair on her Instagram and it’s gorgeous! Definitely recommend her for hair along with everyone else here at Capelli!

As much as I loved my other stylist, I felt the scheduling was always so difficult & my color wasn’t lasting as long as I’d like. One frantic week, I needed my roots touched up badly. I called around to just about every Willow Glen salon & luckily Christine took me in at the last minute. What a sweetheart! I instantly liked her from the moment we met.
First, she informed me of Capelli’s color technique which uses steam to help the color take faster. There was also an aromatherapy element that relaxes you as you process. Loved that. My process took just an hour for color, shampoo, & blow dry. I was amazed! Christine’s prices are also very reasonable & I felt I wasn’t being ripped off just because they’re a Willow Glen salon. I’m really happy with Christine’s work & will continue to be a loyal client.

Just got my hair done today by Jessica, and I have to say IM IN LOVE. I haven’t had my hair cut or colored (previously had a balyage that had grown out) in over 6 months. My hair was in need of some real TLC
I showed Jessica exactly what I wanted and she more than delivered!!! Not to mention she’s a super sweet and down to earth gal. As for the salon itself everyone is super warm and friends. All the stylists are super knowledgable and friendly; you’re in good hands with any of them. The salon is super adorable and has such a nice homey feel to it for anyone that’s going for their first time.
I loved it there, and will DEFINITELY be going back for all my services. Thanks Capelli couture!
