Cecil Beach Bodystyle

I recently bumped my MDX and had a small but ghastly bumper bend. I decided to call Cecil for a quick consultation and estimate. He had me come in and had his guy quickly remove the fender and set the bumper in place. A quick 20 min fix at no cost. Quality and service was brilliant! Highly recommend them as they are my goto place!!!

They did body work on my BMW. They ordered a new headlight part but kept it. They glued together the damaged rear light. My husband inspected the car at home and discovered this. They then apologized and replaced it. The paint they used is substandard. The edge is peeling. Don’t waste your money here. Picture will be posted. When I asked if the color wood be an exact match and told him the name, he laughed at me and said they use a number color system instead of explaining the process professionally.

After some kids egged my wife’s 911 more than a year and a half ago, Bodystyle did a fantastic job with the repairs making a bumper repaint look like it came from the factory. I thought it would be a long time before I would have to make a return visit!
Turns out, I spoke too soon. A tire shop damaged the rocker panels and oil line on my ’87 Porsche 911. A bummer for sure, but happy to bring the car to Cecil as I knew it would be «done right.» He really knows Porsches.
Since I was there, I had him pull quite a few door dings and repaint the front valence, which had become pitted and dull over the years from freeway & track use. Got a nice surprise in that he also repainted the bumper for free — it too had rock chips and he thought it wouldn’t be right to put it back on the car as is. Wow.
Needless to say this was another 5-​star experience. The car looks amazing. I really couldn’t be happier with the quality of work. I highly recommend Cecil and his team!

Wow. Just wow!
This past winter, my co-​driver on a cross-​country trip went sideways on an icy bridge in my less than 6 week old 2013 VW Touareg towing a ~5k lb enclosed trailer. We came to a stop, but a semi slammed into the trailer and pushed us into a guard rail. The Touareg drove away (a testament to German engineering!), but definitely needed a lot of bodywork.
I didn’t trust GEICO’s body shop, who just wanted to replace the bumpers. Based on friend and fellow Unilocal reviewer Alex M’s recommendation, I took the Touareg to Cecil. He immediately spotted things that I hadn’t noticed, including many subtle force ripples along the body sheet metal (physics of being hit by a 30−50k lb vehicle moving at 20+ mph!). The first thing he did when he got his hands on it, though, was make sure the frame itself was true (it was — again, thanks VW!!), but noticed that the trailer hitch had been pushed in ¹⁄₁₆^th of an inch. Seriously, that is this man’s eye for detail! He took my VW apart and made sure that it was returned to brand new condition. He even noticed a nail in a tire and plugged that for me, too.
Very pleased with Cecil’s work, and even more pleased with VW’s engineering. :D

I stopped by the Cecil’s shop the other day because some lame driver decided to kiss my baby’s bumper without leaving a note. As usual, Cecil’s shop buffed out the bumper and touched up area where is necessary. No hassle and A+ workmanship.

My 2013 Audi Q5 was taken to this shop back in June 2013 to replave the front bumper.
Not only did it take forever, the headlamo was misaligned and the clear coat is barely on, so it looks very prime-​ish feel instead of shiny smooth feel.
Email is responded weeks later and the lady name Tricia is very lousy at doing her job.
Will stop people from going here and never will go back to this horrible shop.

I backed my Mercedes GLK into a parking column. We found Bodystyle next to Fry’s one night and decided to give it a try.
Do not go ANYWHERE else to repair your European/​exotic car. Cecil made my car look even better than when I drove it out of the dealership and Trisha took the stress out of the repair process.
This place is as good as it gets. Period. Cecil and his staff uphold a high level of quality and integrity when it comes to customer service and especially when it comes to body repair. Cecil really knows what he is talking about and is the only other person besides me who treated my car like his firstborn. Truly appreciated Bodystyle and I’m so lucky to have found this place.

Cecil and Sandrina and his staff are beyond comparison. I say this because it is absolutely true. His crew is extremely professional and very attentive to details. They went far beyond my expectations to repair my BMW M3. Cecil and his crew went to extreme detail and then some. If you want a shop that will do you right and do a great job on you car, these are they guys you want to go to.

Unfortunately, our brand new Fiat Abarth was attacked by a Monster Truck a couple of weeks ago while Janet O. was trying to enjoy her afternoon. Luckily, all was fine with the lady. Thanks to Janet’s mad driving skills, she was able to avert a catastrophic ending, so the damage was minimal with a scar on the rear bumper. The responsible party was a gentleman and accepted accountability without fuss. On the same day, we took the Abarth to Cecil’s body shop for an estimate, mainly due to its proximity to our home and prior pleasant experience a few years back.
Received an appraisal and made a payment the following day prior to our wilderness backpacking trip. Our expectation on the quality of the repair was high and we didn’t expect the repair to take place for a week or so considering part lead times. We were in the wilderness for four days and upon returning to civilization a voicemail awaited from Cecil, «Adam, your car is like new, come by and pick her up when you feel like it.» I couldn’t believe it, we just dropped her off on Thursday and it’s only Monday. Five stars for getting the job completed in rapid fashion.
The repair quality is what I expected, highest hands down. No sign of repair or prior damage, with the paint perfectly matched to the rest of the car. The car was also washed to a shine. Cecil also took the initiative to buff out a bird crap stain free of charge.
They have been in business for over 30 years and they believe quality of their work is unmatched. I agree! The shop specializes in restorations of luxury cars, so any job is treated as if the car was an exotic. The service is super friendly and expedient. Their true passion for automobiles is evident in every aspect of their work. They love cars and they will love yours as their own.

Best place to take your car — I don’t have fancy or exotic cars but I do love my truck and my VW, they do a wonderful job — upfront and honest always.

I first took my 300ZX to Cecil in 1984. He did a fantastic job. Whenever my cars are in an accident, the first person I think of is Cecil. The quality is outstanding, the customer service is awesome. You could not take your car to a better place. Cecil just repaired the rear bumper on my Lexus 350RX. You cannot tell where the accident happened.

I had my 1991 911 worked on at Bodystyle twice in the last year. The first time I had some work done around the windshield which could easily have turned into a more expensive repair if the glass did did not come out in one piece. They did a great job and salvaged the windshield as well. My second experience involved some work on the rear bumper as someone hit the car in a parking lot. I had a lot of pressure from the insurance company to bring the car to a less expensive bodyshop, but there was no question that I was going to do the work with Cecil. They did great work and are a pleasure to deal with. Don’t waste your time getting other estimates.

This place has always been my go-​to place for body repairs. Recently had to bring in my BMW after being rear ended. I brought in the car for an estimate and to have the adjustor look at it, then dropped off the car for repair one day, and picked it up in a few days. Totally hassle-​free. They worked with the insurance on payment so I didn’t have to deal with it or have to worry about them getting properly paid. They charge premium labor prices, but it’s because they do things the right way. They never do things the «cheap» way. Also enjoy chatting with Cecil and Sandrina. They always have stories to tell!

I’ve brought my 1990 911 and a 2001 BMW 330 for painting and repairs. The 911 got a new rear bumper and new paint on one side — they matched the paint perfectly with the other side so it didn’t look mismatched. The BMW got a weird dent on the top of the trunk and they were able to take it out and repaint, couldn’t tell that there was any damage there before!
After the work is done, they’ll detail your cars inside and out which not all body shops do.

Some jerk has hurt my baby: a black 2006 BMW M Roadster. Dented the passenger-​side front quarter-​panel to the metal. Took the paint off and left a hefty dent. I took the car to Cecil and could see by the way he looked at my damage that he truly cares about cars. I had no hesitation leaving the car with him because I knew that it was in good hands.
They worked with me every step of the way, gave me a detailed estimate, and kept me up to date the entire time.
In order to get the dent out, they sanded, filled in, sanded again, spot-​painted the affected area, then removed the signal lights and emblems and clear-​coated the entire quarter-​panel. I have an email from Sandrina with an eight-​step description of work to be performed. That’s service!
Once the dent was repaired, they buffed the entire car to mirror finish. My car looks like new again. I could not be happier.
The place is not cheap, but very reasonably priced for the stellar quality you get. Be prepared to pay with cash or check.
PS – One reviewer noted that they put 10 miles on the car while it was in the shop. Bodystyle work together with a number of vendors for work such as paintless dent removal etc, and they drive the cars over there and back, instead of towing, from what I understand. Five miles there and five back will account for 10 total miles extra on the odo.

I brought my Audi A6 for a repair. Some clueless driver ran into my car twice getting out of the parking lot on New Years Day!!! This place was recommended by Tony at EuroQuattro who is by the way an excellent and honest mechanic (see my post there). First, Cecil and Sandrina are great people! Second, their work ethics and attention to detail are second to none. Not only did Sandrina upgrade my rental car, Cecile drove me to the airport to get my rental car when the Enterprise office nearby closed at 6PM. Cecile is an honest and very competent automobile expert who does not believe in cutting corners. Sandrina, the office manager kept me in the loop throughout the entire process to keep the insurance adjuster in line. She was very detailed and the entire process was transparent. There is no one better or equivalent out there. I learned long ago that insurance companies’ auto shops will cut corners at your expense. Thus, ending up with a poor quality repair. Cecil and Sandrina on the other hand worked tirelessly to serve MY interest. I plan to reveal the shoddy attempts by Safeco auto insurance on another post. I couldn’t be happier when I picked up the car. The paint and the repair were flawless and the entire car had been detailed. All the hassle with the insurance company during the repair was definitely worth it. I got the excellent repair that I deserve and was able to stick it to the insurance company at the same time by taking my car for repair to Cecil’s shop. I am very glad that I found Cecil and his team.

I brought my Boxster here after some minor fender damage due to an oblivious driver and Cecil did an AWESOME job. He replaced the fender and bumper due to the scrapes, painted it like the factory would have, and I was back on the road in seven days. An added plus is his front office staff, Sandrina. She kept me in constant communication regarding the progress and she was always a responsive to my calls. When I got the car, I was pleasantly surprised with an exterior detail and Cecil got all the swirl marks out of my black paint. Looks as new as the first day I bought it. If you have a Porsche and need body work, this is the ONLY place you should bring your car.

I brought my car in after being rear-​ended. They did a great job fixing my bumper. You can always reach someone there to help and they are very friendly there. Great job on my car, I love it. Only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars was because they added 10 miles to my car which I’m questioning where they drove my car to? I only left it there for 3 business days for a bumper replacement. should be no reason to have added so many miles. Besides that… I recommend this place!
