I have been to several Chili’s locations in the South Bay, and generally appreciate them all equally. I am aware that it is a chain resturant therefore I will not go into details about menu items or whatnot. This review is purely about service alone. Me and two friends attempted to go to the Chili’s on El Camino and Lawrence Expressway. There was a 30 minute wait. Due to the fact that we were starving, I called this Chili’s and asked for the wait time. No wait? Cool, we’re there. As we arrive we are promptly seated and told that our server was to be with us shortly. Server was very polite in the begining explaining that he was busy and our drinks were to take awhile. That’s okay, I work in retail, I understand that people may be short staffed and busy. However, this server was unattentive our whole visit! First off, it took around 25 minutes to receive our round of drinks. One of my friends ordered a simple water. I know it does not take 25 minutes to pour some underfiltered tap water with some ice into a mug and deliver it to a table! Furthermore, all three of us ordered a water to go along with our margaritas, and she was the only one to get a water. Okay, fine. That’s a simple error. I can see that happening. However, when I notice other guests receiving their food /drinks well before us when we were there before them, that begins to be an issue. When our server spends too much time small talking to people at other’s tables before even tending to the customers who have been waiting for a simple thing such as a refill on water, or water period, it’s just not good customer service. Not only that, but when our food was finally served to us, the special requests that we had asked for were not fufilled in the slightest. My friend asked for no tomatoes on her burger, and a side of sauce. Neither of these things were correct(yet again, I can understand this, she picked the items she didn’t want off, simple). The server continued to be absent minded and aloof to everything. It would take a minimum of 10 minutes to even grab this gentlemans attention much less get anything that we needed from him. The food was less than stellar as well. I ordered chicken crispers, which I have gotten I think every single time I have gone to Chili’s for as long as I can remember, I can almost guess anyone who has had them can remember their crisp, crunchy texture. This time, the breading was soggy and clearly greasy. I know I cannot be expecting much for a meal under 10 dollars but after having a certain standard of how something tastes for years, I immediately noticed that this food was off. I was not going to be rude and send it back, so I ate as much as I could. Definately the worst meal I have ever had there. To make matters worse, I had spefifically asked for the checks to be seperate at the begining, in order not to cause confusion at the end. Of course, the server forgot, and came back with our new checks about 5 minutes later. We were ready to pay, and this guy took over 20 minutes to get back to us to take our credit cards! We even asked a hostess to take our checks, and she called for this man instead of taking them herself! He was clearly standing around in the back, not paying attention. I have never not given a tip to any server in my life, but this time I did. This service was terrible, the food was awful and it made me not want to ever come back to this location.

This location will be closing on Wednesday 1÷9÷13 from what the staff was telling us. The Bartender, Nick, will be transferring to Coleman. He is AMAZING! I will follow him there are review his new location accordingly. As for this location i only visited the bar. The ambiance was perfect for a bar noise level was low and the TV’s were a bit on the low side too. Nick was serving the bar and the café tables around us for a good hour with a total of around 12 tables to serve and he was on it. He stopped to breath maybe twice and was damn near running for a while. Luckily for him a manager came in and helped him for a few minutes. I drank more because he was awesome, and I think I tipped well at the end.

On Tuesday night I ate one of the worst restaurant meals of my life. Buffalo chicken salad sounded part healthy, and part buffalo wing tastiness. How wrong I was. The chicken pieces were very salty, and soggy with oil. I think the oil in the deep fryer was too cold. My wife tried a piece and didn’t like it, and she loves fried chicken. I was hungry and with a big group of friends, so I didn’t send it back. I was kicking myself later that night. The chips and salsa were free and in front of me, so I ate them too. The salsa had little flavor except for salt. I was up for half of the night with a rumbling belly, and getting up for drinks of water to quench my huge thirst. My stomach still wasn’t feeling good the next morning, and skipped breakfast. I never skip breakfast. On the plus side, the servers were great, and accommodated our large noisy group. +2 for them, the food itself was a big zero.

This location is really terrible. I’m not joking when I say that the only reason I ever eat here is when the Counter is having an issue or has an astronomical wait time. If you’ve read my reviews of the Counter, you know that if Chili’s is a downgrade from that, it’s REALLY bad. The last time we came here was by far the worst I’ve experienced. My mom, bf and I arrived around 2pm on a Sunday. We waited in the front for approx. 10 minutes before being acknowledged. This should have been an indication of how the afternoon was going to go. Once we were finally noticed, the hostess was rude and short(in temperament, not stature. bad joke, sorry…). We were seated and were left alone for around 20 minutes. Two different people came by an introduced themselves as our waiter, but neither helped us nor knew who was actually supposed to be waiting on us. Totally disorganized. Eventually, our actual waiter arrived and informed us that they only had 3 waiters to help the entire restaurant… uh okay. A group of four girls were seated at the table next to us a few minutes after we were seated. When we finally received our food, they still hadn’t even been acknowledged! They had literally been sitting at the table for over 20 minutes and didn’t even have silverware! They were understandably starting to get very upset, so I waved down our waiter and informed him of the situation. A few minutes later he went over and helped them but didn’t apologize or anything! Unacceptable. We ordered, we waited, waited some more, food arrived, we ate, we finished, we waited, we waited some more… Finally the terrible ordeal was over, we paid and left, amazed that we stuck it out. 1 star is generous.

I came here with my dad after spending some Father-Son bonding time a while back. I ordered the Southern Smokehouse Bacon Burger and it was a juicy burger that filled me up. Whenever I write a review, I always find myself taking a long time figuring out how many stars I should give a place… and the reason I give Chili’s Grill and Bar 3 stars is mostly because of their service. The food is terrific and don’t get me wrong, but when I go eat somewhere, I expect my service to be quick. My dad and I just finished watching 21 Jump Street at the movie theater across the street and got out around 11PM, when we got there, the place had only about 3 or 4 customers… It took 10 minutes for them to sit us down at a table. After ordering our drinks, our waitress went somewhere and came back 15 minutes later to take our order! Both us were starving and when our food FINALLY came out, we ate, paid, and decided not to come back here in the future. Nothing personal, but in my opinion, a customer shouldn’t have to wait that long. === Pros+: 1. Food is great 2. If you are drinker, this place has a bar. 3. TVs are around the restaurant. Cons-: 1. Service is horrible. Long wait time. 2. Place wasn’t the cleanest! I found it a little dirty. 3. Waiters and waitresses don’t seem that nice to you. They seem to be in a rush all the time… rush to leave their shift I suppose. —- Now, I’ve ate at other Chili’s Grill and Bar before. And its a lot better than this place. Do I recommend you to come here and eat? Yes, If you are super duper patient! Otherwise, I recommend you to find another place… like McDonald’s. At least, I don’t have to wait.

After the movie over at Cinearts, we strolled around on «the Row» to see what we can eat. We decided on Wahoo’s but OMG, it was closed. I had no idea that it was closed; I thought business was going well. Anyhow. We decided to stop over at Chili’s and made the biggest mistake by sitting at the bar. We ordered the 3 appetizer combo(for $ 10 something): spinach and artichoke dip w/chips, boneless buffalo wings, and cheesesteak sliders. The food was OK, the service was deplorable(the chick at the bar never checked in on us, that is not to mention that our order took over 15 minutes). However, the company made up for all the negatives. My boyfriend ordered a margarita and a beer that was on draft, I ordered a mojito that I barely touched. I seriously tried to drink but alcohol is just not my thing. I like taking sips here and there w/the boyfriend though but as far as I’m concerned, unless it’s a chocolate mudslide — I’ll pass. My boyfriend and I will never come back.

I came for happy hour and it was fabulous. $ 4.50 for a pint glass of margarita. Yeah. Now was the margarita the best thing ever? No not even close, tasted like sugar and something else and smelt worse but it was $ 4.50 so I really cannot complain. I’m not 100% there was alcohol in it though so that is a little worrisome. Did not do food but I wasn’t there for food, just to drink. Apparently Sunday is all day happy hour. Why was this place not packed? I would come again.

This place is right around the corner from me so I frequently order online for carry-out. Every single time, my meal has taken about 30 minutes longer than what the online ETA told me. Two times my order was wrong so I had to walk back to deal with that. Other than that, the people are friendly. The food is consistent. I don’t see anything«wrong.» I just have had less-than-awesome experiences with the carry-out service.

Two words: Food Poisoning I don’t even like this kind of food. My boyfriend was craving Southwestern Eggrolls, so I was dragged here for a late lunch on Sunday afternoon. At least they have happy hour all day on Sundays. Otherwise, I may have given half a star. We ordered: Queso: It was… ok. I wanted to squeeze a lime in it for some acidity, but if I had to choose one dish to eat out of everything we ordered, I’d probably choose this one. Spinach & Artichoke Dip: They should rename this dish, cheese and oil dip. When I dip my chip, I don’t want to have to use a utensil to help separate the cheese because it’s already hardened. How long has it been sitting on the expo line for??? I couldn’t really find any artichoke, and maybe a couple pieces of spinach. Southwestern Rolls: These weren’t terrible, but I think I liked the dip more than the actual roll. Boneless Chicken Wings: Salted much? Good thing I don’t have high blood pressure. Andddd… 5 to 6 hours later… you get it.

First Impression: Just because this place is part of Santana Row doesn’t mean all the restaurants are high end tasteful. The Chili’s in this locations is the same as other ones. I only came here once and maybe there might a reason why I never came back, but I feel the are better Chili’s than this one. Last Impression: This place is less than average, but try this place for yourself and see how you feel about it. Check out my photos I posted!

Came here with my CVS coworkers. Our foods took a while for it to arrive which is understandable for a party of 12. One of the girls that ordered the Cajun Pasta had hers come out frozen. She informed the waitress who responded with a really pissed off glare. It took them another 20 minutes to have my coworker’s dish replaced. If a place can’t even microwave their pasta and apologize for it, that’s a done deal. There was no happy ending to this meal. Everyone over the age of 25 in our department came into work the next day with heartburn and reignited their gastric refluxes.

It’s hard to park here at the overrated Skanktana Row, and this restaurant does have mediocre food… but you can always sneak your parking across the street, and it is great to meet your friends in bar/grill type place. Tonight’s occasion? It is July 14th, Bastille Day which is the French National Day where it is formally called La Fête Nationale(The National Celebration) or commonly called le quatorze juillet. OK, why at a Tex-Mex style bar and grill? Because having paté or escargot over a pint of beer would be too expensive? Because the Mexicans defeated the French on Cinco de Mayo? Mais, non! Parce que, it was a good safe place to have many people enjoy finger food with beer and wine with many Francophone friends. It was nachos and beer then red wine for me. I thought it was a festive place to celebrate. After our third rendition of «La Marseillaise», it was time for more food and drinks. It was clearly too many people, but the staff was understanding and attentive. Bravo! To celebrate Bastille Day, I will do a French version of this review, followed by the French National anthem or La Marseillaise : Nous avons mangé des nachos et nous avons bu du vin rouge de bière puis. Formez vos bataillons! Marchons! Marchons! Qu’un sang impur Abreuve nos sillons! Please pass the nachos…

IDKWTF happened to Chili’s!!? First off, I remember a couple years ago when they used to serve hella food on their plate and now all I get is bird shit. I’ve always enjoyed coming here and eating with my friends but now the place is depressing and the food isn’t as freshly made anymore. Everything seems heated up on the damn oven or microwave. UGH! I came here for Happy Hour and it sucked. Honestly, I def think Applebees is much better with their portions, prices, and HH deals. The artichoke dip was stiff, the sliders tasted microwaved, the fries were stale, hell even the wings were soggy! NASTY The chipotle honey chicken and corn with fries used to be heavy on my but now its inky dinky and the prices are the same if not higher by a couple cents. NOTFEELINTHEPLACEANYMORE… sorry

I came here for a meal with some friends and it was just as expected. no wonder I have never eaten here before, and most of my friends haven’t gone here for years. My friend got Fajitas, another ordered a sandwich, and I got Cajun pasta. Everything was just… alright. I would only come here for Happy Hour to get boneless wings and some beer. Otherwise I would go somewhere else if I actually wanted to eat a good meal.

Yard house was a 2 hour wait for happy hour on a Friday afternoon. The next best place in Santana Row is Chili’s. The happy hour menu is decent with common bar foods like sliders, chicken wings, and chips and dip. Margaritas are $ 4.50 from what I remember. The food was okay but may be slightly more expensive than I would like to pay for, but all in all a good place if yard house is packed. Also of note, its all day happy hour on Sunday!

We came here after our attempt at watching the Sharks game at Yardhouse on a Friday night. Yardhouse was a major fail so we found our way to Chili’s to catch the game, where there was just one table left at the bar underneath a TV playing the game. We settled for that spot while we overextended our necks to watch the game above us or squinted our eyes to catch it from across the bar. It wasn’t exactly easy on our bodies trying to watch the game but in the end it was worth it… Sharks won!!! WOOT! Now, getting on to the food, we ordered 2 entrees and an appetizer for $ 20…Super awesome deal! We had the baby back ribs, chicken fajitas, and nachos with guacamole. Food wasn’t exactly spectacular but all was good, especially for the price! Wayyyy worth the $ 20!!! Service was great– they kept my glasses full and even talked shit to my bf and his friend for bein’ on their first beers while i was on my 3rd. =P This place is pretty decent, compared to all the overrated and overpriced restaurants at SRow. I hate spending hella money for MEDIOCRE food, but at Chili’s, you get good service, chill atmosphere, and decent food for a DAMNGOODPRICE! Gotta love it here! =P

Chili’s is a chain Restaurant. I don’t know why I am Unilocaling it, but I love this location! Let me tell you how to do it. First order the bottom less chips and salsa, it is fresh and good, and they’ll keep bringing them. Get the Shanghi boneless buffalo wings, it is awesome! Appetizer is where’s at, any of the main dishes are good for the side The Drinks are decent, you really don’t want to treat this place like a bar. No Chili’s not fine dining and it doesn’t have the greatest food out there! But this is a hella good place to chill with your friends.

It was lunchtime and I was looking for a place to eat and watch the football game. My friend came up with Chili’s and so I agreed. I probably should have spoken up, as my past experiences with other Chili’s have not been positive. I had expected more for this place, considering it is located in Santana Row. We came and stood by one of the uncleaned booths in the bar area. We waited a few minutes until the hostess appeared and asked if we had been helped. We gestured toward the uncleaned booth, which she happily cleaned. She pretty much half-assed it because the table was still dirty when she was done. I was really taken aback by how dirty the table still was and with the musty smell that the dirty towel left. The menus were also stained and a few pages were stuck together with food. It was pretty disgusting. I would have left, but the game was about to begin so I didn’t want to waste time searching for another restaurant with the game on. I got the chicken tacos( ), which came with rice and beans. The chicken tacos were quite plain and the grilled chicken was seasoned with just salt. There was no salsa or sauce for the tacos either. I managed to eat one taco and took the other two home. The tacos are sitting in my fridge, waiting to be thrown away. My friend and I also shared the hot spinach and artichoke dip. The chips were extra crispy, but the dip was not so great. It was watery and more on the cheesy side. I like my dips more on the spinach and artichoke side. I give our waiter credit for trying, but we won’t be coming back.
