Da Churro Guy doesn’t disappoint!
This churro guy is the real deal! He’s located in the corner of Story Rd and Knox Ave. He has his own little churro cart where he fries the delicious churro dough. He has this amazing contraption where he puts the dough inside and squeezes it out on the hot oil. Pretty entertaining if you ask me! After the fryer, he takes them out and coats them with cinnamon-​sugar. Bam! Ready to go.
The churro guy is welcoming and approachable. He has a sense of humor and makes everyone laugh. From what I’ve heard from him is that he starts around 5 PM till midnight. He also said some days he works, the others days, he doesn’t. I’m pretty sure he works weekends tho. Anyway I ordered two five dollar bags of churros. Each churro is a dollar and they are pretty long!
I got my two bags filled with piping hot churros and ready to devour. Immediately upon eating one I noticed that these are much better fried than baked! Sorry Costco, your healthy baked churros are no match for these! The churro was crispy and soft in the inside, the sugar /​cinnamon coating outside was very tasty and mouthwatering. Definitely worth the drive and the dollar! Will be back soon!

Fresh and delicious. You must try it even if you’re not a big churro lover. Unlike the churro’s at Costco that are probably frozen, the flour is made fresh every day. Luis, da churro guy, is super friendly! I’ll be back time and time again.

I am a serious proponent of hole-​in-​the-​wall joints as well as Food carts, as I strongly believe that you do not have to be paying $$$ for good old fashioned comfort food.

The freshness and crunchiness of Da Churro’s Guy’s Churros was on point. I didn’t even get to taste these churros fresh, just out of a bag! Already, it knocked my taste buds out of the water and made me regret all those times I had those sad, doughy Costco churros to try and satiate my Churro craving. Perfectly sugared and fried without excess oil, it was like meeting the love of your life after dating and trying out a bunch of losers! Full of regret that you didn’t find the love of your life sooner…
I found «The One» for Churros and will forever remain faithful to you… Da Churro Guy.

One of the best churros ever! This is such a hidden gem in SJ. We bought 2 bags of churros for $ 10 ($ 5/​bag) and it was more than enough for 4 people. It’s located on the corner of Knox and Story Rd and there’s some street parking. It can get busy but it’s definitely worth the wait.
If I’m ever craving churros, I know where to go now!

BEST. CHURROS. EVER. Seriously though. I’ve never been a big fan of churros until I tried these. They are nice and crispy and not too doughy, with the perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar. Trust me, I’ve tried Costco, the guy selling churros outside of target, etc., and none of those compare. They make them fresh and they two guys that I’ve seen here are very friendly + nice!

This is the best churro I have ever had. I am currently in the car eating some churros while waiting for my bf to get another bag. The brothers are so friendly! They are there friday through sunday for sure usually until 10pm but dpepnding on the crowd. They stay longer if its busy, so pray they are when you go!

Best churro ever!!! Freshly made, moist inside, nice and crunchy (not stale or hard like most places), and sweetened to liking. There most days; for sure Friday through Sunday till 10pm. Buy any amount; good-​size bag for $ 5. Very friendly, personable guys! A must-​go!

Best churros I’ve ever tasted and friendly service. The cinnamon flavor is perfect. I bought 4 churros and he gave me 1 for FREE (while serenading me in song…) I forgot to ask for his hours sadly. If anyone ever happens to stop by, please ask for his times! Would love to see them here on Unilocal

This guy makes the best churros I’ve ever had. Fresh, crispy, and perfectly flavored! He’s not always there, but when he is you should definitely stop by. My friend and I are always on the lookout everytime we drive down Story Rd, haha. Def a must try if you love churros!

So I finallllly got to try the churros from this churro guy ! And I must say I loved them! My son my hubby and myself all loved them ! He’s not ALWAYS there but we found him on a Saturday so I think your better off going to look if he’s there on Saturdays around 7 and on

Went here on a Friday night just before 10pm and there was the churro cart on the corner of Story & Knox. I didn’t expect much. There were a couple of people in line ahead of us waiting for their freshly fried churros. They have this bazooka looking device that squirts out churro dough in a circular shape into their deep fryer. Once it’s done, they pull out the churro wheel and cut it up with tongs and toss it in the cinnamon sugar mixture and then into a brown paper bag. We waited about 5 minutes and paid $ 5 for the bag. Pretty much the best churro I’ve ever had! Super crunchy on the outside and moist and hot inside (as a previous review mentioned). This is going to be a bad addiction.

The BEST churros I have ever eaten! Crrunchy outside, hot and moist inside, just the right amount of sugar coating (although he will give you more sugar if you like).
Thought about taking away one star because of his irregular hrs but could not bring myself to do so… we stopped by this place on Saturday at 6PM but he was not there… was so excited to spot him when we returned at 9PM.

Well good for him because his «churros» are the BEST! They are freshly made and he is very nice. Oh, the sugar and cinnamon on freshly made churros. Mouth watering delicious! This is the original street food at it’s best!

Very good churros cooked right in front of you. My go to spot for churros. Taste great and very fresh.

Hands down this is the best churro in the Bay Area. It’s hot and fresh. The guy cooks it right then and there. The mix of sugar and cinnamon is perfect. Every bite explodes with taste from the first bite to last!
The churro guy’s station is at the corner of story rd and Knox ave. Its across the Emma prush park and right beside Calderon tires. There’s only street parking. The area is shared with a taqueria place. His hours start at 5pm till he runs out of churro. He usually there till 9−10pm. There’s always a line from all the locals. Expect to wait about 5 – 10 mins for this one man team.
I gave this place 5 stars because it’s one of the hidden gems of SJ. And not to mention the price he charges. For a dollar you get about 3 – 4 pieces which is about 4 – 6 inches long! If you thought the Disneyland churro is good you will be awe with these churros!
