I visited Designer’s Corner yesterday and, while I didn’t find the perfect dress, I will definitely be back to shop for future occasions. I’m new to San Jose and while Semra was helping me, she filled me in on great places to shop, eat, clubs I should check out so that I can meet people. I loved visiting with her and the clothes in the shop were gorgeous. I will definitely be back to shop at Designer’s Corner!

I give this place one star because truthfully, they do have some very beautiful clothing. What a shame they are such difficult, horrific people to deal with. As a casting director for several fashion show productions, I was appalled at the behavior Melanie’s employee Calene displayed backstage at our show. They already have a poor reputation for fashion week in the Bay Area, but our producer chose to include them as a designer in our event. Calene was demanding, difficult and rude to our models when they went for fittings at the store. She showed up at our show late and proceeded to throw a fit because we weren’t using the same models, and breaking up their segment. That behavior in itself was completely unacceptable, but it was exacerbated by the drunken state she put herself into that ultimately resulted in her passing out and falling off her chair(twice) much to the amusement of our makeup artists and hairdressers who(unbeknownst to me until after the fact) filmed this spectacle with their phones. Watch out ladies, your store is about to get a lot of free press, but not for any of the reasons you want.

What a great find… and I know they have been in business a very long time. Pre-Santana Row when it was Town & Country center. I felt like a celebrity, I had a dedicated sales person Coleen, who kept bringing me dresses to try on it was great. I needed a dress for my Grandmother’s Celebration of Life and by trying on dresses I wouldn’t have chosen myself I was able to find 4 awesome dresses. They also have lay-away so you can spread out the purchase. I hate going to the Mall so this is the perfect solution to find the perfect outfit with a personal touch. This is my «go to» shop for clothes. Sorry Macy’s and Nordstrom. you can’t compare to Desginer’s Corner.

I have just purchased my second«mother of the bride» dress here! This store and Melanie and Semra are hidden treasures! I discovered this gem through a woman I met in the shoe section of a large department store at Valley Fair. We were comparing notes about the unpleasant experience of shopping for our«mother of the bride» dresses and only finding dresses that were more appropriate for the senior prom or the«grandmother of the bride». She shared her discovery of Designer’s Corner. I am so grateful that she did. I first went here in 2009 and on my first trip to the store found the«perfect» dress! It was a long gown, but Melanie shortened it to street length and it was gorgeous. People who attended the wedding still comment about that beautiful dress. My second daughter is getting married in January, and I knew exactly where to go. Again with Melanie and Semra’s attentive service they suggested another gorgeous dress on my first visit to the store. My daughter is thrilled with it and so am I. Melanie’s background is as a master tailor trained in Europe. If you find a gown that is not quite right, she is very talented at making the necessary modifications so that the dress fits perfectly. This is not just a store for«mothers of the bride». Melanie has a beautiful selection of all kinds of clothes and shopping in the store is such a pleasant experience. I am a professional woman and must dress for work. She has a wide array of skirts, slacks, jackets, sweaters… and divine dressy clothes! This store is outstanding!!!

I love the merchanise, but it is pricey. My only concern is the owner Melanie, she’s really rude to her staff, and will lash out at the tall slim lady that work during the week, who by the way is wonderful. I think in the future if I’m desperate and can’t find what I need I will call the store before going to make sure the owner isn’t anywhere around.

I looked all over for an outfit to wear to a 25th wedding anniversary party. Finally, I just gave up. Then, I was driving by «Designer’s Corner» and stopped in. The woman who helped me as Semra and she was a doll! Not pushy at all. She kept bringing in various separates for me to try on. She gave me her honest opinion and I really appreciated that! I ended up with a outstanding outfit. I had so many compliments at the party. .. my Mom said it was beautiful and she ALWAYS gives me her opinion that I value. Designer’s Corner is pricey and I wish that I could afford to shop there more often. There were so many things that I tried on that I would have loved to purchase. Unlike the major chain stores, you won’t see yourself coming and going in their clothes. The only draw back is that it is a boutique and there are no exchanges, refunds or credits.

What a fun boutique. Love the fact that they only have one outfit in each size. Who want so to see themselves coming and going. This store has some really unique items plus they have an upstairs that is a total sale floor. I worked with a designer who’s name is Semra Kraja. She was great and really knew the layout and available options. When she figured out some aspects of my style she was extremely helpful in providing me some options. Ladies check this place out. Now, one outfit only does come with a price tag. So don’t be surprised.
