My husband I recently sold our home in the East Foothills of San Jose. We chose Don as our agent because of his experience and knowledge of the East Foothill’s real estate market. We were appreciative of the professionalism he brought to the table. Don kept us informed, shared important and helpful insights as we worked together to sell our home of 30 years. He understood our goals and made every effort to support us in making the process a smooth one. We were so very happy and appreciative to have such a trustworthy and caring professional to work with. Selling a home is not an easy process. And to have the support of an experienced and knowledgeable agent was very important to us. We are no longer in the area, but we wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to highly recommend Don Gaskin to any of our former neighbors.

There should be a photo of Don next to the definition of the following words in the dictionary: Amazing, Trustworthy, Caring, Knowledgeable, Relentless, and Listens. I was recommended to Don years ago by a friend and, I went my own route and used other realtors. Since I was buying a home with a veteran loan, the process was excruciating. I found that many realtors didn’t understand the complexity of using a veteran loan, and the ones that did understand, weren’t honest and upfront and never shared their concerns. So, I went through a few realtors and although I made about 25 offers(always overbidding) over 6 months, none were accepted. Finally, my landlord decided to sell the property I was living it and I was about to be forced back into the rental market. I finally took my 2 year old advice and contacted Don. At this point, I was so defeated. I thought it was going to be a repeat of last my last experiences where I’d made offers but all of them would always be rejected. And so, at my first visit to Don’s office he was explaining his services and then he began explaining that when we went into escrow that… what?! Wait! Escrow? Are you kidding?! My past offers had all been rejected, how would we ever get to escrow?! In fact, what Don was doing was that he was preparing me to purchase my first home from our first meeting. He was preparing me for success. This is like Tony Robbins stuff. He had a plan and was taking me step-by-step through it. Wow! During the home looking process we usually met and Don’s office and he’d drive me around to numerous homes. He was insightful. He’d ask questions about things that he’d see that he thought would later be potential concerns. Finally, when my offer was accepted, he gave me some of the best advice I’d ever received when purchasing a new home: «go knock on your neighbors doors and introduce yourself and talk to them». At first, I ignored Don’s advice. Later during one of our meetings he asked if I’d gone to introduce myself. I responded that I had not. And then I asked him why it was so important for me to do so. He responded, «if you knock on your neighbors door and they have swastika tattoos, do you really wanna live next to them?» Well gosh diggity darn it, great point, Don! All in all, he was amazing. Give him a call and see for yourself.
