I’ve had the jetski back for a little over a year and in spite of judicial litigation, Bill did come through with quality workmanship on the jetski, No mechanical problems… that’s all I can really say though.

Billy is awesome! Brought him a jet ski that has been sitting for 6years. He got everything running perfectly. Keep me updated the whole time and even got it to me 3 days earlier than expected. Only a few days. Will definitely use him again. 5+++ stars! Brought my jet ski to lake camanche the next weekend and it ran like a brand new jet ski again! Thanks Billy!

WORST SERVICE AND BUSINESS for ANY REPAIRS.
We dropped off our jetski in August 11, 2011 and paid Bill Foley with FULL amount to have our jetski repaired. He promised us every month, of every phone call we had with him. But now it is June 27, 2012 AND HE IS NOT RETURNING PHONE CALLS and WE DO NOT HAV YOUR JETSKI BACK!
We are very angry about this issue which caused us to have the police, ABC News & AAA Insurance involved, but he is avoiding every move he makes to be put on air.
Recently, we have contacted the landlord where he runs his business. His landlord is now very upset and involved to put his business to an end.
Please don’t not send any business to this man. He runs a ponse shop, (he has no money to get anything fixed, so he takes in more jobs for his benefit.)
Once you bring it in, your personal motorcraft will not be completed for awhile.
YOU WILL NOT going to be satisified with this man (Bill Foley).
P. S. Come on, does it take almost a year for our jetski to be fixed? Especially if he has been paid in full. We might even miss out on the lake this season!

Awesome service, they picked up my Kymco 2006 People 150 scooter, fixed it up (it wouldn’t start, I had it in storage for 3 years), and brought it back to my place in Fremont, all within 2 days! Price was extremely fair, and the service was great. Will come back again if I ever need any more work done on my scooter!

I can hardly believe what a great experience I had with DownTown MotorSports. This little shop was able to help me more quickly than just about any other I checked. I had a flat tire on my Honda Metropolitan. It was my own fault for not changing the tires sooner. The guys came and picked my scooter up and had it fixed in less than 2 days. They drove all the way to Fremont to get my replacement tires. They even cleaned up the scooter from top to bottom… including the engine! The best part was that it was such a great deal. I actually insisted on giving them more money. Great job, guys!

Based on the good reviews here I took my cruiser that had been improperly garaged for a year to Billy to bring it back to life. Well, that was 3 months ago and I don’t have the bike back. Billy admitted to ‘laggin’ on it but promised to have it ready when I got back from a summer trip. Now I can’t get anyone there to return my phone calls. Stay tuned; hopefully this review will become more positive!

Billy is a nice guy that seems competent but he doesn’t like when the job requires too much time. After reading the praises here, I called him to check if he could help with my scooter, a chinese JCL 250cc. He offered his «new chinese scooter» tune-​up where, he said, he brings them from factory to «US par». Things like changing the oil, the spark plug, verifying all fuel lines, bolts, screws, etc. I mentioned to him that there were 2 problems with the scooter: the fuel gauge was not working properly and the engine would stall after revving up. He initially quoted about one hour to fix the fuel gauge, which he said was probably stuck in the fuel tank. And he said that his tune-​up service at $ 110 a pop would fix the stalling problem. So, I took it in on Tuesday evening and left it there to pick it up the next day. During the afternoon of the next day, Billy called and said he needed more time to fix the fuel gauge. He said he didn’t realize it but had to completely take the rear of the scooter apart. I said fine and even offered to pay him additional time. The next day, I called during the afternoon to make sure everything was OK and I could pick it up. He said it was ready to go. So, I picked it up and sure enough, the fuel gauge was now working properly. However, the engine was now worst. Initially, the engine would stall only when it was cold. Now, it would even stall when it was warm. Billy had increased the throttle to the max but it was still not enough. The next week on Monday, I stopped by to show him the problem. He spent about one hour playing with the carburetor to no avail. He suggested I needed a new carburetor. I mentioned to him that I did research the problem and many were saying that the intake and/​or exhaust valves were probably misadjusted. Billy said he doubted that would be it and even added that they did adjust them as part of their tune-​up service. I was a bit suspicious and decided to call a few other places.
I finally picked Pacific Coast Powersports. Sent them an email and Gene replied almost immediately asking me to bring my scooter in after 11 the next day. Dropped it, mentioned the problem and the valves possibly being the cause and 3 hours later, they called and said they had found the problem. It was indeed the exhaust valve that was almost completely closed when it should have been opened. I picked it up and drove about 300 miles with it and the engine doesn’t stall anymore. So, I’m left wondering why Billy said he did adjust the valves. He was either lying to me or grossly incompetent. Your mileage may vary, of course. I would finish by saying that I think Billy knew he would have to take the rear apart again and was not interested in that kind of job. That’s why I’m saying that if you have a minor problem, Billy will probably fix it but for a major job, find another place.

Bill’s service was so great, I finally joined Unilocal to tell you all about it. I stopped by yesterday to get a nail replaced with a plug :/​Being the only shop nearby that was actually open (on a Monday!), Bill has a new customer! The plug was free in exchange for some shop talk about my scoot, and future patronage, which I was and am happy to oblige.

Excellent shop for small engine work! Most shops have a short list of what they are willing to work on, not so here. It seems as though they can and will get anything you have running in peak performance. I took in my Honda Ct200 with a Lifan 150 in it. Most shops wont touch a Chinese engine. He had it diagnosed within 5 minutes. When I left, he had it running better than it ever had before, and he went ahead a fixed all kinds of little things on it including some welding on the foot peg. I came down all the way from Redwood City, and am glad I did.
If you ride a scooter or small bike and are put off by the price and attitude of most motorcycle shops, this is your place.
