Love this place, food is consistently great! I always get their super burrito with pastor. My husband has gotten multiple things that I’ve tried are always delicious.

Unfortunately, I can’t really say that the food tasted good because I ended up throwing it away after I realized the guy who made my food had dirty fingernails. I hate to sound like a diva but do you want someone making your food with dirty nails? Who knows where his hands have been. He didn’t even use gloves making my burrito and I was literally getting sick to my stomach and I just tossed my burrito in the garbage. Maybe it was good but I really didn’t feel like catching diarrhea. No thanks. I hope their supervisor or the health department reads my post because I am concerned about others that already dined at this restaurant. PLEASE advise your employees to wear gloves or clean their hands before preparing food for the public.

This spot is pretty small and you definitely get the home style vibe. It is always a good sign when you go to a taqueria and you see a bunch of Mexicans watching soccer, that means you found the real deal. Food is good, prices are good and its friendly service. My son and niece got pretty hefty bean and cheese burritos for $ 2.50, good luck finding a better deal. Not much seating so make sure you don’t smell bad, that would be rude. I would have them repeat the order back to make sure its right unless your Spanish is impeccable. For all you gringos who aren’t lucky enough to speak Spanish, El Caminito means«The Path» or «The Road».

I enjoy eating burritos from this location. I really dont eat meat so, I always get a rice, been and cheese burrito. So, far these have always been my favorite, the rice is the . The location is in a random place though, no parking only street parking on a busy street. The restaurant looks like it use to be a house and was sectioned off, someone might still live there. This place isnt the cleanest, its just small and crowded with stuff. You literally sit where they cook. I dont recommend this place for a 1st date… but the food is really worth it.

I ordered 20 tacos here to go & was surprised by how fast the service was. The tacos are cheap & are tiny. I tried their horchata in a size large & thought that it was tasty but isn’t as creamy as El Amigo’s on Santa Teresa Blvd. The worker there had a sense of humor which is a great plus. I asked for 20 tacos and he replied«for here right?» I was @ first thrown off by his sarcasm so was about to reply with a literal answer. Silly me. They take cash only but have an ATM machine inside if you need to withdraw. That’ll be $ 2 fee though & that amount of $ can get you a taco. The interior isn’t too impressive & there’s limited indoor seating. The place feels dingy so it’s definitely not somewhere you’d want to sit down in for too long.

I got 4 tacos. 2 Pastor &2 Carnitas. These have to be the smallest tacos I have ever got from a Taqueria! Two bites and your done! $ 6 dollars for mini tacos and I’m still hungry. The carnitas were very dry and the pastor was average. I use to miss coming to this place for the tacos, but I think this is my last trip here. Like another reviewer said, downsize your tacos, do the same for the price too!

Absolutely the best Tortas in San Jose and Northern California. It’s a HOLEINTHEWALL restaurant!!! Need more to be said? I started coming here in 1991⁄2 with about four friends after we would get out of work it was on our way home. This place has one of the best breads for making tortas, but this is not a good to go item as it will get soggy. I usually cut up jalapenos and squirt limon on them for that extra added goodness. I usually don’t put limon on my food yet this time it really compliments the torta. They don’t put jalapenos on the torta which is why i do it myself. Never add salsa to it as it will also make it more soggy. My Favorite Meats are the Carne Asada and the Al Pastor. This is all i usually get so i am not so familiar with the other meats. I found out a few years back the my younger cousin also likes this place and one of his favs are the meat quesadillas. The have a Bathroom, if you have never been there… it is soo cool! You have to duck down and step down into the storage room. Once you get in, you are on steps trying to use it, one leg higher than the other LOL. Just that alone was such a laugh everytime i went there. This place is run by about three or four brothers from Zacatecas. Every time i would go there back in the early 90’s it was always crowded and i would see people of African Descent, Americans and Asian People in there or coming to order food. The reason for this comment is that this is Authentic Cooking of what they make and yet back then people of all likes went there.

A carne asada torta and an al pastor taco earned this place a solid 4 stars on my first visit. The place is small, the service is friendly, and I can’t wait to try the other tacos.

I’m in love. My crush started before I even tasted the food. Upon crossing the threshold I was reminded of my grandma’s house. The smell and the poor sound quality of the TV buzzing in the background transported me to a farm house that stands tall in my heart. The plates were even the same style my grandma had served many memorable meals on. That’s where the similarities stop though and El Caminito’s tacos took their own hold of my senses. I couldn’t choose between the carnitas, asada and al pastor so got a taco of each. Even after a side-by-side comparison I’d have to get all three on my next visit too. Muy delicioso!

The fiancé started bringing me here after I repeatedly complained that I was tired of eating at the same taqueria… it’s near where he grew up and he said I would like this place… and of course I did! It’s really a ‘hole in the wall” type taqueria where you might wonder whether things are up to «health code standards»…LOL! I kid, but really I did wonder… as I stuffed my face with a burrito regular con aguacate… mmmm…and a carne asada taco to finish it off… fatty, I know! But the food was good! My boo loves the quesadillas, not plain ol’ quesadillas, but imagine a taco with melted cheese. They look so good, but cheese is my enemy, so I am taking his word for it and he highly recommends them!

I have been coming to this place for over 20 years!!! The best tortas I have ever tasted! The people that work there always talk to me and ask for my Lil boy, they get surprised when they see that he’s 17 lol! Great group of people and the tortas are the best!

This place has been one of my favorites since I was attending Grant Elementary & the funny thing is this joint really hasn’t changed much. My favorite meal here is a Quesadilla de Harina con Carne Asada(Flour Quesadilla with Steak for all you Cavachos) They make it with carne, cheese, a slice of tomatoe, a few slices of avocado, a bit of chopped onion, & salsa upon request. Their preparation of meats are truly one of a kind. Their flavor is one of a kind. I never asked them what style of cooking this is but by looking at the walls I see they must be from Zacatecas. Definitely one of my favorites for the nostalgia. Quesadilla/Can of Squirt/& a few lemon wedges for about 5 bucks & it taste good. You cant beat that!
