The food is ok but they insist in hot sauce with every dish and the waitres are extremely rude when ordering they dont speak much english and their credit card machine is always broken.

Hungry and thirsty after visiting the San Jose Heritage Rose garden and in need of whatever fast and cheap. And with no plan in hand we found this cute restaurant that from outside seemed close and small. Inside is spacious, colorful, clean, authentic and you will have plenty of parking as well. Plus those super cheap $ 1.25 tacos that are so delicious, very tasty! I liked the whole atmosphere and cannot forget the flavor of the strawberry smoothie either. It is a pity that the day was super hot and I was not into warming my body up with a Siete Mares soup, but what I saw coming out from the kitchen seemed (and smelled) fantastic. Definitively I will be back.

My first time here I was definitely in need of some good Mexican food. I had a friend who lived just a few houses down and had recommended this spot since he hasn’t lead me wrong I decided to give it a try. The employees were very friendly and had helped me with my order. First, I ordered the super burrito with guacamole. Then I gave a go at some of there delicious tacos. I very much enjoyed my visit here and definitely love the food. I would recommend my friends go here as well.

Clean store, nice workers and they were fast to make the food. I ordered a super burrito with chorizo and carne asada. The food wasn’t the best around, it seemed like they put no sour cream at all. (Only reason I order super burrito) I also got a large Horchata drink and oh my gosh for $ 4 the size of the large cup seemed like a medium. Overall it was an average restaurant.

Nice spacious place basic in design. Chips were store bought & plain. Super nachos were made with velveta liquid cheese sauce, yuck. Carne asada meat on the nachos chewy. Skip nachos totally inedible. Ordered a carnitas burrito, passable. Nothing special.

So delicious!
The ceviche mixtor $ 4.50 was a hit with my mother. The portions were extremely generous, the octopus, fish and shrimp so fresh and well flavored (per my mother). My veggie burrito $ 4.50 also super tasty and generous with the avocado.
Upon walking in, it did not smell fish at all. Thank goodness! It was welcoming, the aroma of «homemade» Mexican food was so intoxicating I wanted to bury my grave and live in burrito heaven.

I’ve been here a few times and had a chance to try the following:
Chicken super burrito
Steak tacos
Chicken quesadilla
Chorizo breakfast burrito
The salsa– which is extremely important in star determination– meets the mark.
And let me just say that there was nothing I didn’t like about all of the above! The ladies inside are always really cheery and helpful.
Just bring cash! Looks like they don’t take plastic anymore (good thing they have an ATM)

The tacos here are insanely good, though they are relatively expensive. Come for the tacos, stay for the comfortable atmosphere and other goodies.

Best tacos in San Jose! I can easily put down half a dozen carne asada tacos, plus a side of rice. My boyfriend loves their tacos al pastor. Their chiles/​salsas are incredible, and they have Mexican crema instead of American sour cream… huge plus! It took me two years of eating my way through the various taquerias in San Jose before finding this gem. Unsurpassed authenticity. Love it and can’t wait to come back!

So for me, the tacos were good but not mind-​blowingly so. And they’re mexpensive. Like, too expensive for Mexican food. There are other good options in the area — I’d recommend those first.

When you’re the only gringo around, it’s authentic. Good carne asada, although slightly dry. Can’t beat $ 1 tacos, although I personally paid up for the $ 5 burrito. 5x as good, I may never know but it was tasty and the ketchup bottles full of salsa on the table is just the way I it and plenty of it.

im not a huge Mexican food fan, but this place has delicious $ 1 tacos. We rented a house downtown and this place was literally next door and those damn little tacos were awesome. Their rice was also pretty tasty. They have beef, pulled pork and bbq tacos and i had a large amount of all and loved them all.
I mean $ 1 c’mon how could you lose here. delicious and cheap.
