This place was the best place but not any more!!! I bought 7 breakers 20amp arc-​faul QO. i try only one of the breakers and i bought the wrong ones and i try to return them and they told me the all the breaks had been used and install #%#^#
And I only use one of them that means they sold me used breaker
Dont buy breakers from them they sell used breakers

This is your go-​to place when you need specialty installer tools. I found them to be very nice and the transaction was smooth.

This is in regard to the counter service I received from, Andrew.
I actually took the old parts with me that had all the numbers needed to make this an easy as possible transaction. First off, even though I had the old parts with me, he gave me the wrong stuff, until I looked at it and told him they were incorrect, they were ballasts that needed to be able to withstand heat. (HAZ) on label.
Also, I had two different size florescent tubes (had them with me as well) and after all these things were written up, I looked at the bill and it needed correction. He scribbled on the receipt and handed it back to me with no revised total.
Even though some of the blame is mine due to a quantity change mid stream, but I’m not sure that was a huge deal. I got back to my work, looked at the bulbs, assuming they were correct, (my bad), but all 24 bulbs were the same size even though the receipt was correct, I. needed 12 of one size 12 of another.
He was not apologetic in the least, he actually said as he walked away that I was basically at fault for this situation and basically said I ordered wrong. Making him give me a revised copy was an inconvenience to him at the time.
Note: I am not an electrical contractor, and some people need more help from the SALES people than
me all customers count, and should be treated with respect.

If you’re a regular person, not a contractor, and want to get treated like an idiot, here’s your place. I couldn’t find the under– counter long bulb I needed at Target or OSH. But the nice guy at OSH said try these guys. Before I could finish explaining what I wanted, the man behind the counter immediately started asking me questions about numbers and letters on the bulb. I don’t have that in my head, I explained and apologized for my ignorance. I said I’d know the bulb I saw it. He refused, said it would be «the wrong one» and kept interrupting me. He seemed to enjoy toying with a novice like me. I finally have up and left.

Screw the price, these guys work with me to bridge the knowledge gap every time I come up short with a new installation circumstance. Wholesale knowledge with a resale attitude, refreshing.

As a local electrical contractor I rely on correct and timely information regarding bids for future projects. We recently requested a quote on some panels from the Gilroy store who told us the quote HAD to come from San Jose. Our bid was due at 3:00 3 days later. It took Nikki until 2:22 on the day the bid was due to finally get the information to us. It was wrong, she quoted the lighting package with the panels and no line item pricing was provided. When I called to ask for just the panel pricing I was basically told too bad we can’t give you that until after the job is awarded. WHAT? How are we supposed to get a job awarded to us with incorrect pricing? She refused any further help. Too bad for you was her attitude.
This is not the first time that we have these types of situations, they routinely take right up until the last minute to provide us with quotes so that we then have to rush a bid out the door to make it on time.
The only reason they are doing as well as they are is from lack of competition, not because of customer service.

This company has been in business since 1948 for good reason!
The Customer Service the staff provides is second to none! Everyone at the counter in extremely friendly and KNOWLEDGEABLE!!!
This is NOT Home Depot. They’re prices are competitive, but NOT CHEAP!!! This is an establishment that caters to people in the electrical TRADES!!! Meaning that they have high quality, name brand merchandise.
With that said, you kinda have to have SOME KIND of idea what you are looking for! They carry all of the switches, ballasts, conduit, tape, lights, wire, tools, relays, channel systems, boxes, cable. transformers (no, not the ‘bots’), relays, etc., etc. Oh yeah, and LIGHTS!!! LOL!!!
They also have a kick-​ass selection of Klein Tools and Klein Bags to put those expensive Klein tools in!!!
There’s free coffee in the main lobby. And if you’re lucky, you’ll go there on a BBQ day!!!

I’d give ‘em a perfect 5 if not for the fact I’ve purchased items that have been previously used or have missing parts. Not so much their fault as it’s a tired old dope fiend move. They just need to check the boxes better upon return.

These guys know their stuff and are quite helpful when you’re looking for anything electrical. The prices are fair and the counter staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Their vendor BBQs are a favorite in the industry, too.
