Emerald State Painting

Evan and his crew made our house look new. Our house had many cracks in the stucco in the back and the siding in the front ended up needing repair due to old termite damage. Evan stuck it out and went above and beyond a painters duty and helped us find a very reasonably priced contractor to do the termite damage repair (which was more extensive then just siding).
Evan and his crew are polite and prompt in answering questions and concerns. Evan patiently went through a few door colors to get the right one I wanted. Great price and I’m thankful to my friend who recommended him.

Wow. If I could give 10 stars I would. All I have to say is WOW. I found Evan on a lucky break. We had a crazy experience hiring a painter that painted the outside of our home and was TERRIBLE. To make a long story short, the painter we hired was sloppy, messy, had VERY rude customer service. He missed spots then complained about having to go back and fix them, he was slow, and he cancelled last minute on us several times because of «car problems». Finally, after he broke our water pipes on accident, we were ready to find a new painter to finish the job. I found Evan after asking 2 different paint stores in San Jose for a good recommendation. The guys at Kelly Moore Paints highly recommended him and said he was a real nice guy. I called a few different painters and got 3 different quotes. However, the second we met Evan I felt like hiring him on the spot. He was prompt and came when he said he would, was vERY knowledgeable, and confident about the job, without seeming like a salesman and was not pushy or desperate for the job. Immediately I felt confident in his honesty, integrity, ability, and service. He went over the job, gave me a fair estimate of labor and cost (and ended up being RIGHT ON) and even helped us through making some difficult decisions on coloring for staining our fence. (Yes– he even did our wood fence stain and did an amazing job. We initially wanted to go darker, but his suggestions were great and he ended up saving us from making a horrible decision with the colors. He was personable and friendly, the work area was kept clean (no smoking or leaving water bottles everywhere!) He put double coats and had clean lines on all the trim, and he even fixed SEVERAL places where the previous painters did a poor job. He was responsive to texting and left us the left over paint for future use. From our previous experience with the other painters I went over Evan’s work with «eagle eyes» and found no spots that needed re-​touching. Honestly I’m so glad to have hired Evan and will do so again in the future. GREAT job and GREAT service. Even more amazing prices. Would recommend to all friends 5 stars.
