I’m a beer guy, this place is okay, 4 stars is mucho much, there is absolutely no food, you will starve.

I really enjoyed myself at this lounge. I never been to a lounge before with my friends, and this place was really interesting. We heard the music while we were at the Wells Fargo one night, and decided to go in just to check it out. It’s pretty small but the staff are really friendly. It seems like everybody knew everyone there. We ordered two strawberry daiquiris, and they were strong but yummy. They had a lot of ice chunks but can’t beat a $ 7 drink. The service was fast and the bartender was really friendly. The DJ they had was pretty good. He played oldies, old school Mexican songs, and later some early 2000 songs. It was a fun night. I even got my husband to dance with me on the dance floor! We even got our friends on the dance floor. I would say if you wanna try something interesting and be on a budget come check this place out. The people are very friendly here: D

First time going to a lounge withe my wife and friends. This lounge is small, but cool. workers here are nice. The DJ was played good old and some new music. DJ had good taste in music. Out of all the people here I think we was the youngest. Strawberry Daiquiri was not to strong with alcohol, but had a lot of ice chunks.

I heard that this was a cool place to kick it. Out in the boonies. No drama at all. So we came on e Saturday night. #1 the bouncers suck! Trying to act like they are bouncing at a club in LA or SF. Especially that tall Eddie Munster Mexican cat trying to act like he is the shit. Your just a bouncer stop trying to walk around like you are the boss. Drinks were watered down and it looked like a homeboy hangout. It was dirty & smelled funny. You know for the guys that couldn’t get into a regular club lol or afraid to take their lady out in public. Find another Dive Bar is my suggestion!

A definite hole-in-the-wall joint full of biker ambiance — I mean, the bar has some outdated décor laminated into it making for a very different kind of drinking experience altogether. Kind of helps while you’re downing a beer to numb the pain a cute server is there to cater to your every alcoholic need. Other than that, one of the few places in San Jose worth eyeing that is actually in the suburban part of town.

This a chill bar if you want to get out of the house and not go all out:) I came here with my friend who just wanted to get a drink, and the waiters seemed fun but they were only playing spanish music, The owner of the bar happened to be sitting next to me:) and he said they do play hiphop later at night so apparently this is a all types bar, Pretty cool I liked it. Also seemed like a bunch of regulars but nothing wrong with that:)

Decent little dive bar. Drinks are reasonably priced, sometimes they have a DJ. Not my favorite, but not a bad spot to catch a drink.

We walked in here last night after having an amazing night at Cavalia. The place was pretty much desserted except for the 8 people scattered around the bar area. They had a few small flat screens and the room looked like it was a time warp back into the 60’s with its wood paneled walls, glittered ceiling fixtures, and old furniture. For a no frills experience and friendly service, it wasn’t a bad time at all.

I’d rather go to the Pub across the street. The Foothill’s stereo is mediocre, and the drinks are pricey and served in tiny glasses. The barmaids speak very little english, and the place is usually dead, unless it’s packed on a live band music night– but why? the dance floor is the size of my kitchen!

My first visit to this place and I got some of the best service ever from these nice Latina ladies, well one in particular. Very attentive and she made me feel good. She made my first Foothill Lounge visit very pleasant. I would definitely be back it’s a neighbor hood spot that I had no idea existed. Music is a bit of hip hop, pop, oldies, Mexican music. etc… it was still cool.

Ugh! They had a sign up recently that said, «New management», so we thought we’d check it out. Unfortunately it’s the same crappy music(too loud to talk) and food that everybody is afraid to eat. The good news is you can probably score some meth or crack in the back. Just don’t have it on you when the cops showed up like they did when we were there.

When I want a good time with zero frills, strong(yet still tasty) drinks and live music(on Saturdays), I’ll head here with a friend or two. It’s the absolute definition of a neighborhood dive bar. Whether you like it or not, it’s there to stay. I tend to fall on the«like it» side of the fence. Sometimes there is free food too. I mean, this is assuming you’re buying a drink — which I hope you are — otherwise, why exactly are you here? So far I’ve been too wussy to try the food though. Maybe I’m just not drinking enough.

9 something on Thursday night: «My nap ran late today, you wanna do something?» 20 minutes later: «I need a drink» «I’m tired of Chili’s» «Foothill Lounge?» All too soon after: «…Yo se perder, yo se perder, quiero volver, volver, volver…»

I’ll be the first to say I’m not a fan of bars, but this one is magic. And at a 3 minute drive from my house, it’s the perfect neighborhood bar. When you walk in, you feel like you’re sitting in someone’s house. I’ve never been to Mexico, but my boyfriend said it gave him a nostalgic feeling of being there. The ladies behind the bar are so friendly and know how to make a great margarita. How can you go wrong with $ 2.50 margaritas during happy hour? On Tuesdays they serve BBQ ribs and on Thursdays it’s oysters. Did I mention it’s on the house with the purchase of any drink? And they don’t skimp on the portions, either. We had a full dinner of ribs, beans and tortillas. I can’t attest for the oysters, but I want to try them. One Sunday there was menudo for anyone who was interested. Yum! The jukebox is filled with jams from Sublime to Vicente Fernandez(boyfriend’s top choice). If you go on a night that they don’t serve food, luckily for you there’s a delicious Mexican restaurant a few stores down! Just grab some friends and prepare to have a fiesta!

This is what you would want in a bar: stiff drinks, old classics on the jukebox and no bullshit. It is a true neighborhood bar. I wish there was a good dive bar downtown. Any suggestions, let me know.

I’m in love with the Foothill Lounge, as it is a part of my history. Located in my old stomping grounds of Evergreen, I have many a treasured memory there. Cheap, strong drinks, good friends, and a lil patsy cline or otis redding on the juke. The girls that work the bar are so friendly they even cook sometimes and bring it in to share! One night I’d drank quite a bit, and they went in the back and heated up some tacos for me! My favorite is when the mariachis come in and play some jams! I wish I could go more often, but I cant walk home from there anymore. :(
