Gold Rush Eatery has a regular menu featuring burgers. pics on trucks features tater tots, fried ravioli, clam chowder soup, etc. locale:OTG:stevenson-glove(10⁄8) eats: regular burger with cheese(as is, 8.2) order med. rare, –burger med, no juice, no taste, only ketchup added, no tomato, pickle, lettuce(saw notice later) –sour dough bun, bun chewy makes eating burger a bit tougher. dripless: –a bargain for some people, not me, disappointed maybe clam chowder better. –no lines the whole time i was there.

Although I did appreciate the amount of bacon they put on the burger, it’s OK at best. I had a chance to sample some of their stuff at the Moveable Feast over at the Curtner VTA station a couple Friday’s ago. I had the«Frontier» which was essentially a BBQ sourdough bacon cheeseburger. They use a sourdough bun(similiar to a bread bowl) although it is interesting to see them incorporate their«Gold Rush» and«San Francisco» theme into the menu items… taste wise it’s not the best! The bun is super chewy and dry which doesn’t go well with the patty(which was overcooked). It was a decent bite but the barely lukewarm burger and soggy onion rings(side dish I bought on the side) didn’t help. Total came out to $ 15 for the burger, onion rings, and a can of soda! Value wise, I think most food trucks are overpriced for the quality of the items but I don’t mind supporting local business. I’ll leave it at 3 stars! Friendly service, OK food… one of the better choices if your burger food truck options are limited!

10÷13÷15: So I know I’m going against the tide, I’m gonna give this place a thumbs down as I really did not enjoy the burger. Have to be honest right? 1. 16oz Root Beer $ 3.25(no tax): So, taste-wise it’s good – has a good amount of herbal taste. Unfortunately the bad thing is it’s serve almost room temperature believe it or not, with no ice. Now, I appreciate the no ice thing so it’s not thinned down, but to pull that off you gotta chill it heavily, and maybe serve in a frozen mug. Plastic? – no. Thus, the result is a flat soda that is no better than A&W. And it’s somewhat expensive too, to top it off. 3⁄10. 2. Montana Burger $ 9.75(no tax): Nearly $ 10, so it better be damn good. And it ain’t – might have hit an «average» score if it weren’t for the ridiculous bun. That sourdough bun is REALLY thick, like as in easily adds 1″ to both the top and bottom of the insides. Also, the texture ain’t the best – I wouldn’t say it’s dry, but it is definitely off, maybe a tad stale. Does have a good crust though. But anyway, the sourdough is so amazingly overwhelming it is super hard to taste the meat. Really, I’m not exaggerating. It’s really hard to find the meat on your tongue. I did pull off a piece of meat just to try, and it’s not bad – has some juice and flavor. I almost threw it away until I tried eating it without the bottom piece of bread, and it was FAR better. Anyway, pretty horrible burger. If you really want to see what a good $ 10 truck burger is, try Eat On Monday: I dare you to do a side-by-side. There’s no comparison. Anyway, compared to the competition, I’d give this burger a 2⁄10. 3. Bermuda Rings $ 4(no tax): The description says they add cornmeal to the beer batter. I’m not sure if I taste that, or feel any different texture. But, I do like the rings. Nicely fried and good flavor. Coating was quite crispy, especially considering it was bagged. The onions were quite sweet too, which was a nice counterpoint to the savory outside. Very good flavor. 8⁄10. Total bill was $ 17. That’s a relatively big bill for a burger meal. If I try this truck again, I am definitely not getting a burger unless if they get rid of those ridiculous buns. 2⁄5 #truck #burger #onionrings #rootbeer

The food is amazing, the root beer floats are next level. This is my go to truck at Moveable feast. I recommend this place to everyone.

Welcoming Gold Rush Eatery to their new brick and mortar at 1010 S Wolfe Rd(Sunken Gardens Golf Course). Their bar/restaurant remodel is starting to look super awesome. Can’t wait until they open!!!

Gold Rush Eatery was at Moveable Feast in Foster City recently. My coworkers and I stopped in for lunch. Several of the trucks had long lines so we decided to go with Gold Rush as the line was pretty short. They had a nice Chinese chicken salad on their menu. It was bit heavy on the cabbage but otherwise was very tasty. I really liked the Asian dressing and crunchy bits on top. It was quite filling too. Even though I was trying to be healthy, I did have their tater tots too as I know they are delicious. I was not disappointed. Their tater tots are crispy outside and soft inside. Yummy! I don’t do the food trucks often anymore as I am on a pretty strict diet but I will stop in for Gold Rush Eatery every so often.

Tried the food truck visit while at Tesla. Awesome huge jalapeño burger… With sourdough bun. Taters were good and enough for 3!

I wish there was a 0 star option. I spent close to $ 10 on a glorified school cafeteria burger. Actually, that’s too generous of a description. School cafeteria burgers are just as good. Possibly better. I’m pretty confident the burger was just a Sam’s Club frozen patty. Super dry and flavorless. Bun was even worse. Tasted like Disneyland sourdough bread that had expired. My stomach can handle almost anything and I still feel nauseous several hours later. Nice guys, good service. Terrible, terrible food. Don’t be fooled by the novelty of the food truck. This is the closest thing to a food scam I’ve been apart of.

It’s okay, the burger I had was really dry and the fact that the bread was super dry didn’t help. their tater tots are pretty darn delicious though, and their service is pretty speedy considering it’s a food truck. The workers are also pretty friendly and very informational on their items. I would say try it for yourself!

One my favorites at the Quakes games! These guys’ sandwiches and burger are tasty and BIG! It’s not necessarily cheap, but you’ll definitely get your money’s worth. The Prospector is my top pick here… tons of grilled tri tip(cooked right and tender not over cooked), mushrooms green onion and more goodies on a sour dough bun! Ask for a side of BBQ sauce and order TATERTOTS(yes tater tots) and you WILLNOTBEDISAPPOINTED! The pulled pork comes in second! Oh and I forgot to mention one of their finest qualities too that goes with their food… THEYAREFAST! You order and within 5 minutes you get your food. There’s some other trucks out there(not to be named) that take up to 45 minutes!!! Forget the rest, strike gold and eat with the best!

This truck is always a good choice. I like the pulled pork and the bermuda onion rings the best.

I ran into the Gold Rush Eatery Truck at Off The Grid Sunnyvale . They have a lot of interesting Menu items and Specials . I went with the Montana Burger — ½ Pound Burger with Bacon and Bleu Cheese on it and Tater Tots. It was on Special and it came with a Free Soda . Not a Bad Deal I received my food 10 Minutes later The Montana Burger was Slammingly Good and the Tater Tots were perfectly cooked. The Tater Tots were a good sized portion. Also Worth trying are the Fried Sausage Raviolis with Marinara Sauce. Great Flavor and you get 12 Raviolis . I paid with my Double Rewards Master Card . They have a $ 7 dollar Minimum for Credit Card usage. Ill definitely patronize them again.

Gold Rush Eatery is an interesting truck in that they always come up with some intriguing specials that always catch my eye. When I stopped over to visit them at Off The Grid Burlingame, I really wanted to try their Deep Dried Ravioli. You get 12 pieces along with marinara sauce. Believe it or not, after eating 12 ravioli, I was stuffed! I haven’t tried any of their main items yet, so I can’t give a full review, but for now it’s a solid OK from me.

Tri tip. Sautéed mushroom on sourdough… Being on the sourdough it was dense. But eat it with one side of bread, and it’s good. Meat was a bit overcooked, would be awesome with some bbq sauce, but was a dry sandwich. Gold rush cheeseburger w miner sauce. This was better than the Tri tip, but was still just a burger. The miner sauce didn’t appear to be anything out of the ordinary. Tater tots these were amazing! And still crispy when we got to our seats! Love how they pack it in a brown sack and give u take out ketchup containers so u don’t spill while walking to your stadium seats! Great thinking guys.

HOLYYYYYHELL! Can I start off by saying that today in University Circle we had 2 trucks come, one unmentionable(cough) and Gold Rush Eatery. While my thighs and tushie wanted to stay healthy and opt for the other truck I graciously left their line after seeing their driver attempt to park for 5 minutes, wait 20 minutes in line, order my co-workers food only to be told that the«curry» will take 5 – 10 minutes longer. Gold Rush Eatery was handling the rush crowd with ease! Lines came and went meanwhile I smelled the scent of burger heaven(i don’t eat red meat) and then I saw it… THETATERTOTS! OMG, the cook was literally preparing them CORRECT! Those crispy golden nuggets of love was calling my name! I opted for the veggie burger loaded with grilled onions and mushrooms. The owner said to skip the sauce and I am GLAD I DID! This was the absolute BESTVEGGIEBURGER I HAVEEVERHAD… LIKEEVER. Sourdough bun, patty melted in my mouth and the flavor was ridiculous. So, dear Gold Rush Eatery… I love you and like Arnold said«I’ll be back»!!

This review is only for their gold nuggets aka tater tots. Tater tots are one of my favorite forms of potatoes and Gold Rush Eatery has done it right. If you’ve ever had a McDonald’s hash brown then imagine that but condensed to a tater tot size and super crispy. that’s what you get for $ 3.25 here! Their tater tots is extra crispy which I enjoyed but I prefer my tater tots a little bit less crisp normally. I think the amount you get is worth the price so if you’re a fan of tater tots, get them here.

Underwhelming, and not very good. It may have been because I ordered at about 30 minutes before the festival was ending which lead to a not-so-fresh tasting product. The burger meat + sauce tasted very similar,(and slightly worse) than a quarter pounder with cheese from McDonalds. The bun was extremely thick and took up more than 65% of the overall height of the sandwich. The tater tots tasted quite good, though nothing separated them from what you get in the freezer isle. A special seasoning, or accompanying sauce would have been nice. Bacon Bacon is significantly better, I would skip this truck if I encountered it again.

I am definitely a fan of the Gold Rush Eatery food truck. Their miner burger was large and lovely — the miner sauce is a mix of ketchup, mustard, onion, and other burgery-stuff that tastes good. It was pretty sloppy, and would have been better if I was a bigger fan of mustard. Their brioche bun was superb, though. Didn’t try their other food, but will next time. Those onion rings look really good! The service was also very good, so thanks!

Let me hop onto my hipster soapbox for one moment. Remember the good ol’ days in LA, when you had to actually ‘find’ the Kogi food truck? When you got it you were rewarded with juicy meat, lathered in creamy sauce all wrapped up in a taco? All for less than 5 bucks? Pepperidge Farm remembers… So I tagged along with my friend to go to Off The Grid. Previously I went and wasn’t impressed at all. This time was no different. I got the Gold Rush burger because I was craving some juicy, tender burger and the menu was touting it’s famous ‘secret sauce’. My expectations of a juicy burger dripping with this ‘secret sauce’ were dashed when they gave me my order. What the HECK, MATE? I could barely taste the secret sauce(actually I’m still not sure what it tasted like… maybe ketchup?). I wasted all those napkins in anticipating for a deliciously messy meal. ITWASPATHETIC. I am going to nip it in the bud now. It is sad to say that ALLFOODTRUCKSNOWSUCK unless proven otherwise. This is how I envisioned how this food truck started: Owner: «Hmm… let’s do a burger food truck!» Investor: «But… there are so many burger food trucks already. What makes you special?» Owner: «Well… we’ll have a SECRETSAUCE! … And… we’ll put it on sourdough bread!» Investor: «Not good enough, we’ll need more convincing» Owner: «Well, we’ll put ONEPIECE of cheese! And a patty! ANDTHESEKRETSAUCE» Investor: «Hm… that secret sauce does sound intriguing. What are the cost of goods for 1 burger?» Owner: «Well, it’ll probably be $ 2 per burger if we do bulk… so we can charge $ 4ANDMAKE A 100% PROFIT! ANDSECRET SAUCEerhghsdgh» Investor: «I am further intrigued… But 100% profit isn’t THAT good… especially in the food industry» Owner: «Ok fine, we’ll charge $ 6 for a 200% return! Those idiot consumers will buy it hook, line, and sinker! They’ll love that secret sauce!» Investor: «Now we’re talking! Any way we can squeeze more out of those suckers?» Owner: «Now we’re just getting decadent and greedy. Alright, $ 8 a piece it is! But we can’t give out too much secret sauce or else people will figure out that it’s just ketchup.» Investor: «$_$!! Alright! Let’s add on one more dollar and bring it out to $ 9, those suckers will buy anything if it looks interesting enough!» You think I’m joking?! I’ve uploaded a pic of the burger here. Check it out. It’s PITIFUL!
