If you have a well loved and tattered friend this is the place to take it to bring him back to life. After my moms passing we were going through her things and found my brothers old dear monkey. He has one of those faces that make you want to hug him. His stuffing was coming out and one arm was barely hanging on. So, I found Mary at Hello Dolly and so she did bring him back to life. She did an amazing job! She replaced his body material with almost matching to what was once there, reused his pants I could go on and on but, he still looks worn(loved) and not new which is what I was afraid of. Mary does amazing work. She truly is an angel to our well loved friends. I can’t wait to see my brothers face when I give it to him for his 56th birthday!!!

Mary is a lovely woman who has been quietly bringing restored life to dolls and bears young and old for 25 years. There is nothing more heartwarming than the smile of a young girl when she hears Mary say, «Yes, I can fix your doll.» Or the elderly woman who has had her childhood doll get a little facelift restoring her childhood friend and bringing back memories from a long, long time ago. Mary celebrated her 25th anniversary of her studio on September 3, 2008. Congratulations to Mary for 25 years of dedication to doll, bear, and porcelain repair and artistry as well as a teacher to anybody who would love to learn how to create a beautiful porcelain doll. If you have a doll, bear, or porcelain statue that needs repair, Mary can repair it for you or teach you how do it yourself. Classes are available Tuesday through Saturday at her studio on Bascom Avenue. Alice Aced Sherburne

Mary’s shop/Studio has been a heaven for our overly loved dolls and other stuff animals. She is truely a Doll Doctor and surgeon! Mary has provided me with an abundance of knowledge in all aspects of doll making. I love the creativity.(I thought I never had!) I have been a student of Mary’s for over 10 years. The classes I have taken and still taking, have made me a very good doll maker. I would encourageYou to take a class and find that inner artist in you! I never though I could make a doll. This is a lost art. Once you make you first doll. You will find out that There is no comparison to the mass produced doll that you buy . I have made many beautiful dolls and beautiful costumes.
