This tae kwon do place is located near the corner of story and white rd. They have classes for kids and he runs a fitness class for adults. Lots of my friends and local women I know like it a lot! I have an injured knee rite now but I enjoy watching my friends sweat and get their moves going. We go to coffee and I have to say. … They have an exhilaration and glow that is very evident! Come by and check out the classes and sign up for a good workout for u and or ur kids!

This business litters in the surrounding neighborhoods. I found flyers taped to my mailbox and when I removed the flyers, the tape pulled paint off my mailbox. And other flyers were blowing up and down the road if this is the respect for others that they teach students, save your money!

I had a very bad experience with this school. The teacher was practically never there, and I had to learn stuff from other students and YouTube in order to pass the damn tests. DON’T come here if you’re looking for a self-defense class. They only taught us one or two self-defense techniques that where total bull, and could only be done if you have super human speed. I remember one time the teacher told me and a fellow classmate only had a few days to know all the techniques and the form he never taught us. We had to rely on YouTube because there was no time where he could teach us since he was never there. I’ve had personal problems with the teacher, and the secretary as well, including accusation of robbery. I felt as if they didn’t even like me either, not saying that because they’re strict. The damn teacher held me back for one year on the same belt for some reason. So I was stuck on red belt for a year so now my underclassmen were at the same level as I. Then I finally got to the level right before black belt. The week they gave us off a short while before the black belt test my dad pressured me to study for it, almost to the point of hitting me several times which my mom had to prevent. It was obvious I was working hard just to get out of this place because my dad wouldn’t let me out until I was a black belt. So the day the teacher was going to say which students had to come on Saturday, he named the secretary’s daughter, and another classmate except me. I asked«Sabonim, don’t I get to come too? I’ve been working real hard for it.» He just awkwardly said«No» with a mad/confused face, then all the other students looked at him like«Wait, what?». After class he called me to his«office» to tell me that next time I do something like that he’s going to drop me a belt level and that it made him look bad. He saw how hard I was trying, and the other students too. Remember that I mentioned the teacher passed the secretary’s daughter? Her mom(the secretary of course) graded a few of her past tests until parents noticed. She’s also the one that calculates the grades for everyone. Her daughter actually did pretty bad in the tests I’ve seen her do(including the black belt test). She was wobbly, looked off to the side to copy what the other kids were doing, her forms were weakly done, and her black belt board breaking form was way too simple and easy. Suspicious much? On my first tournament with this school I only had three hours of sparring training. I didn’t know how I had to fight, they only taught me how to kick and punch but not how to move and everything in a sparring match. They just put me out there. The teacher was really lazy when it came to teaching. He taught the kids before us actual techniques that you can use in actual self defense. He didn’t to us. The only time he gave me weapons training in the whole 5 years I was there was for one hour. It was with staffs, and he didn’t know squat! It just felt like he was making everything up. He told us how to hold it wrong, as well as the wrong way to effectively block with it. What a teacher huh? When he wasn’t there(which is most of the time) he had his wife, and sometimes other students conduct the class. We would spend weeks like that. We wouldn’t even learn anything we had to learn for the tests until a week or less before the actual date came. Every class was just pointless random exercises for months without learning any new kicks or punches or anything for that matter. If you want a flexible schedule, this place won’t work for you at all. You can’t cancel at anytime you want either because you have to sign a contract. If you want to put your child in here because you want him/her to get exercise, don’t. It’s the same amount(or less) of exercise you can get for free at the park or at home. Maybe you can exercise with your child as well to make some family bonding time! In all, I had a very bad time at this school. The staff was corrupt, the time we spent was mostly pointless exercise we can get for free at the park for free, they close to never taught us anything, and we had to rely on YouTube. This school is a very crumby place to learn TKD. I say, save your money and search for a real self defense school.
