This spa really did not do it for me. Don’t let the location and name fool you. It’s not what it’s made out to be. My husband and I did not care for the services at all. We came in on a Sunday for our scheduled 60 minute pure relaxation massage. During my massage I felt like the girl was really trying to put pressure, but it just wasn’t enough. It seems as if she did not know what to do. Her massage felt more like a lotion rub down more than anything else. When my husband got out of his massage I ask him how his went he said the pressure was weak and he was left feeling oily from all the lotions used. We figured that that may be how they train them to do the pure relaxation massages. Who knows… I wish they would have explained that to us so we could have chose another type of massage. Besides the massage the room was cold and did not appear to be vacuumed. Not worth the price, there are much better places around town than this one.

Love this place. The staff is incredibly friendly, considerate, and accommodating. The therapists know what they are doing when it comes to deep tissue(i’m extremely particular and savvy as I require DT massages once a month) The fact you can use the amenities is great considering In Spa locations don’t have amenities which is why the prices are more affordable. I used to go to the Santana Row location but never again. I’ll only visit this location bc of the service, staff, and wonderful location. My only negative is their hours. They are not open on Monday or Tuesday and Wednesday I called for a massage for my husband and I and they only have one therapist from 11am-1pm??? Guess I’ll have to hang by the pool while my husband gets a massage! #firstworldproblems

I had several facials done by Marissa Rodriguez, and she is absolutely amazing! She explains the process, the benefits and provides options depending on what I’m trying to achieve. I love that she educates you. My skin has greatly improved(the texture and no acne). I highly recommend that you see Marissa.

Felicia gave me a very nice pedicure. The price is in line with the market price for a pedicure.

I have started going to this facility since the one in Santana Row doesn’t have spa /sauna or showers. This is a very beautiful location and though a slight drive, there is always easy parking. Once in the spa, i love the complimentary cookies, candy, tea and mimosas. I also especially like the quiet room, the big spa and the private sauna in the ladies changing room. They do charge more at this location than in Santana row but since i am a member, I end up paying about the same. I would definitely like it if they could keep some body/face lotion and hair care product in the ladies changing room. This would also be an opportunity for them to familiarize the guests with their product range. As for the massage the therapists are shared between the Santana Row and this location so its not location specific. They have a easy way of keeping track of who your therapist was the last time so you can request a particular person if you like their massage. Scheduling is also pretty easy though i surely wish I had an online account and sign up online instead of having to call. In all my experience has been good, a few slight improvements would make it even better.

My husband and I just had a beautiful afternoon here. Terrific deep tissue massages and delicious salads and wine poolside. Very relaxing, terrific service, peaceful grounds. Can’t wait to return.

My husband and I went to the hayes mansion in spa. We both wanted deep tissue and received nothing close to that. We left frustrated and totally disappointed. I even pointed out my problem areas. The concentration was on my feet, which had no pain. I got a 30 min foot massage. Wow!!! I would never recommend this spa or return.

We did a couples massage. They ended up cutting our massage time to 40 min. But still got charged the full price. And was supposed to be a deep tissue massage and it literally felt like someone was rubbing lotion on my back. Was expecting to have an amazing first experience for a massage since i am a avid bodybuilder and needed it badly instead we left completely unsatisfied and payed 179 to have oil put on my body.

The InSpa at the Almaden has moved to the Hayes Mansion. The setting for the spa here is very nice, quiet and relaxing but I do miss the fact that InSpa no longer uses the foot bath for the pedicures. Their reason they gave is that there is carpeting and they don’t want to ruin the flooring. My feet were prepared for my pedicure using warm moist towels but I don’t think this really helped with softening up my feet and cuticles and a good exfoliating. The price remained the same as before which is more expensive than other nail salons. I feel that if they are not offering the foot bath, they should compensate with another additional service, maybe a parafin wax treatment or scented lotions or hot stones. I was a bit disappointed and am torn if I should return or not. Ambience is not enough for me.
