I came here with a friend to watch a jazz show. She asked one of the servers for a water and she said go up to the counter and ask for it. Say what!!! What kind of service is that?

This place wow me at first, its all so new still and very warmin feel with the perfect temperature. I didn’t use the restroom but i’ll take the other review on it cus um… I was horribly disappointed with their services. the food and wine were ok, but it took forever to get a drink and another hr to get the softshell crab. the quality of the seafood was below grading. they did taste ok. I gave 3stars cus I would go back during lunch hrs when its empty :) to have chit chat w friends or biz… I wouldn’t recommend goin here to get eat. my friend ordered phở and she took one bite. its def a place to kick back and have drinks when ur not in the mood for loud music.

This review is for a Friday night dinner, drinks and live music entertainment… Prices are good, food tastes good, service is very good and the crowd is awesome! Seriously! This place reminds me of «old times». You get to eat, drink and have live music as entertainment. Songs from Elvis, Santana, Whitney Houston, … And songs like Hotel California sing life!!! OMG! This place is a breath of fresh air. As it is carded out from the times when entertainment meant entertainment! I am so in love with this place… Table #22 will belong to me and my group whenever I will go there :-) Love, love, love this joint… I want all my followers to experience this atmosphere … You will not be disappointed if you have an old soul such as me…

I think this place is a good place for everyone like to enjoy music while eating Phở in downtown. They even have a small area for dancing. It is amazing.

I was pretty excited to know that a new Vietnamese restaurant was going to open near my office. I walked in and it was surprisingly empty for being lunch hour, better for me. I was seated right away and I was a little confused by the menu. They have spring rolls and phở on the menu but they also have sweet potato fries, garlic fries, Steak, Chicken or Salmon over rice/linguini and pizza. For dessert they have homemade yogurt and Flan? I thought it was an odd mix. I ordered the large Chicken Phở($ 10) from the server who had a hard time understanding me. She didn’t speak English very well. She wasn’t able to explain the portion difference between the regular phở and the large phở. I just went with the large portion and it came out quickly. I don’t mind that she didn’t speak much English but I just thought since it was in downtown SJ, they’d have someone on staff that spoke English well enough. The host who greeted me also had a hard time understanding me, I felt. The phở had generous amounts of chicken but the broth didn’t have much flavor, I was a little disappointed with that. After the server brought my food, she disappeared. She didn’t check on me, I actually wanted to order a water but I didn’t want to wander around the restaurant looking for my server. I had to sit there until I spotted someone so that I could pay and leave. It looks like this place is a lounge in the evenings because they have two bars and a stage. Maybe there’s more action in the evenings when there is live music rather than lunch time? I understand that this place is new and they are probably still figuring it out so I will probably come back and try the spring rolls. Hopefully I will have a better experience.

We attended a private party recently and Very disappointed. The owner/the musician is not a true artist but a real businessman: Our party was a semi-formal event but he dressed in very casual street clothes as he played piano on stage. That was not acceptable. Our event was booked in advance before this place even opened. Yet they added their new policy on food/wine till last minute to make more money. We were told they would validate our parking tickets but at last minute(at the time of the party) they didn’t. They just opened for about 2 months but their restroom was vey dirty. This was not a true restaurant because they couldn’t cook with open flames. It was just heat up or electric stove due to their hood restrictions. We don’t think we will be back for their food or plan to have any private party there. Good luck with your business ventures especially if you continue your unprofessional business attitude.

First time being there, but love it and will be back. The place has good ambiance, good food, and music. We ordered the Garlic French fried, Calamari, chicken wing for appertizer. They came out hot and tasty. The outside was crispy, and the inside was still moist. My husband had Salmon with pasta, it was really good, The garlic pasta was tasty and Salmon was perfect. My son got pasta with beef cube, and it was great too. Service was good, they were nice and friendly. Live music was great too.

This review is for take-out Phở. This is a new place downtown. The place has nice furniture in a relaxed setting — kind of like a lounge. They have a cool stage with lights, instruments, microphones etc. Live music would be cool to listen here. I was offered a drink while I was waiting. I would rather have eaten there, but my friends were too chicken to check it out. They brought my Phở pretty quickly and I paid and then was out the door. When I was ready to eat, I had to find a bowl to assemble the soup. The broth was still pretty hot, but I decided to nuke it for a little bit. This may have been a mistake. The Phở had the normal stuff, broth, noodles, basil, bean sprouts, scallions, onions, raw steak, cooked steak, meat balls etc. The flavor was good, the noodles were right, but the meat was a little too tough for me — maybe because I nuked it too long — but some people like it this way. Will try again, but not take out.
