I’ve had Juan do my hair for over 15 years. I get compliments all the time! He always make his clients happy. Puts pep in their steps!!! I recommend him highly and I’m picky!!! Especially with my hair

I love Juan and his daughter they always are able to provide wonderful service. I have been going to Juan since 2010. They find a way to fit me in last minute when I need to get dolled up for an event.

I Love Gena! She Always fits me in and is super flexible. Gena has such a great eye and knows how to make my stubborn hair lay perfectly. Plus the scalp massage during the wash is magical. I’ve gone to her for two major haircuts and trust her to do almost anything with my hair!

If you have fine Asian hair, please do waste your money here. I came here for a last minute haircut on Valentine’s Day and I was not a happy camper. I paid $ 55 for a f*d up haircut! I was so pissed off that I forgot the hairdresser’s name. Look for a blonde gal with long hair and her station is next to Juan’s.
I recently went back to my regular hair dresser and she asked who cut my hair. I didn’t know what to say. Go to Teresa’s Salon for a fraction of the price for a professional haircut.

Dude talking here: I’ve done the $ 100+/cut to the $ 10 asian places and honestly never noticed the difference. How do you say, «leave the sideburns in Vietnamese»?
Until I went to Sam. I always feel great after a cut from Sam. He’s always on it. Always knows exactly what I want and delivers well beyond what I think.
Afterwards, styling is a breeze and always looks good. His fades are clean and even cleans up the edges and peach fuzz with a straight razor.

Love this salon everyone is really friendly and make you feel welcomed! Val is one talented stylist, she has a true passion for what she does. Her extension work is flawless (no crazy stringy looking hair) my best friend just recently had her extensions done and she received so many compliments on her hair (people couldn’t even tell she had extensions in) I highly recommend this place and not to mention the location is perfect, easy parking, right in the middle of downtown!

Love Valerie =). She’s been doing my hair since 2009. I won’t go to anyone else, but her. My mom and my 2 year old son go to her also. Very upbeat and friendly. Even finds ways to keep my son occupied while cutting his hair (he’s a train wreck, when anyone touches his hair).

This place is located in one of San Jose’s most cherished areas… Willow Glen! Off the famous Lincoln Ave. Juan Mario’s is very professional! I go to Valerie! She in my opinion is a Master Color Artist. She’ll see your pigment on your face and match it spot on! Juan, the owner is a very welcoming Host! He makes you feel right at home! Love going there!

Wow, very impressed. I was a walk-​in and although Juan Mario was busy, he scheduled me in for 45 minutes later and made it clear I would be taken care of. Sure enough, I went back and Yvette cut my hair exactly as I asked her to do it, not only did she do a stellar job but both her and Juan Mario are friendly and made me feel glad I walked in. Price is reasonable and they just gained a new faithful customer.

I have been going to Juan for about 10 years now. He gave my son his first 2 haircuts and were scheduled for his next. He always has a smile and does wonders with my thinning hair.

I am completely neurotic when it comes to my hair! Yvette Benavides has been responsible for my hair for the last 11 years. I started with her at Antoni Paez, then onto Vanity, then onto Umbrella, back to Antoni Paez and finally at Juan Mario’s Generations. She is amazing, amazing. My hair always looks exactly the way I imagined it should look and she undertands the whole process from top to bottom. I can’t recomend her enough… I love the way she does my hair… and ladies… if you ever want to treat yourself to wonderful bit of pampering… just schedule a shampoo and blowdry. Better then a mani/​pedi!
Oh…I forgot to add… she totally understands how to cut bangs… which if you know what I mean… lots of stylist’s goof up on (too short, long, uneven, no flow!)

Juan ROCKS! He has been doing my hair for about 20 years now, and I’ve followed him around from place to place. I’m so glad he has his own place now, right in my neighborhood. They take walk-​ins, and you will not be disappointed.
He’s done it all, from hot shaves with a straight razor, beard trimming, color, crazy cuts in the 90s, and is always staying on top of what’s new.

I found this salon through Unilocal,I actually have known Juan Mario for years and was pleasantly surprised to find he has his own salon now. I was able to get an appt w/​Val same day for a hair cut. She was great! Easy going, bright and fun to talk to. To top it off, she gave me a great hair cut… she knew exactly what i wanted before I even told her.
I will definitely be returning to this salon and to Val.
