This place was the bomb, it had great food, why better then this LA Vic’s place witch is over priced and got me sick. I use to get 3 crunch tacos like 3 times a week it was perfect, they made fresh chips and never had a bad meal there. Very sad they closed down. LA Vic = nasty

Such a Joke! Seriously??? How do you consider yourself a mexican resturant– this place was horrible– i would have gone to Taco Bell. I walked into this resturant and there was nobody in site– a couple of people behind the counter. Looks like the chef was the cashier, chef and waiter! WHATTHEHECK? !! Dios Mio! I WON’T BEBACK!

Went in for lunch today. The place was really crowded but I got my meal in reasonable amount of time. The older cashier guy is only business… so are the older ladies working there. The young lady was very nice. I just had a bean, rice and cheese burrito and it was really good. It wasn’t that big but 3 bucks a great deal. The salsa was different in good way… Not a bad place at all… good prices tasty if not spectacular food… but this place far from sucks…

My issue is really with the service and the attitude of the older gentleman working there. He was just rude, reprimanded me for trying to explain what I wanted and seemed annoyed to have my business. I would never go back here if I didn’t have to. The food its self was average. I had a grilled chicken super burrito. It was fairly small and bland but seemed fresh enough. No juicy pieces of grilled chicken like I’m use to, more like shredded stuff.

I ate here last Thursday with some coworkers and I’ve been craving the super wet steak burrito ever since! The service was extremely fast, and I was glad that they take card, since most«hole in the wall» places don’t. I wish that the chips weren’t in the sauce since I like to eat them last, but even the tortilla chips were better than most places I’ve tried. I’m not saying that this is «authentic Mexican food» but for the price and portions, I can’t complain. I will eat here again. Luckily it is close to my work.

1– Chile verde burrito — comes out temperature hot. Could have used more meat and chile and less beans. 2– Ground beef burrito — comes out temperature hot. It’s marinated in red coloring and has potato and carrots inside. Would have preferred less beans. 3– Steak Taco– steak was kinda dry. 4– Steak Sopes — steak was kinda dry. the crust was a lil burned. the sour cream didn’t have much taste. 5– the chips are from bags. the hot sauce is pretty good The prices are inexpensive.

The sign says«Mexican food for people on the go». Perfect as I only have an hour for lunch. Difficult to order a chicken burrito with beans, rice and cheese — go figure. We wanted pupusas but were told would take 30 minutes. Um, ok never mind that, I’m on the go remember. So we ordered 3 taquitos instead. Only bottled drinks, no plain ice tea or diet snapple-check minus. Food took a very long time coming out. We almost left. Food delivered with one plastic fork and one regular fork. I go and ask for a fork and get another plastic one. I said oh no I need a regular fork to cut the burrito. She gets mad and says«I left one one the table». I said yes but I need a regular fork to cut the burrito. Then the cook(a man) comes up and gruffly says«what’s the problem». None for me, I got my fork and ran back to my table. The 6 chips with our burrito tasted stale. Burrito itself was ok. Taquitos tasted microwave and texture of «meat» was weird. Service sucked, food sub par. No thanks.

Communicating barrier with cashier since its seem that he knows little english. Had the chicken super burrito to go for $ 6+ something(it was closer 7, tax included). The price is so-so/decent for the size of the super burrito. The burrito itself, its whatever. I had better. It is filling but the flavor is bland. Could have add a more flavor. Only taste the guacamole and sour cream. It was too soft and squashy in the inside of the burrito. They give little chip. They did make the food fast since it wasn’t busy.

HUGEJERK! I went in and decided that before ordering I wanted to use the restroom. It was locked so I ended up ordering first. When I asked to use the restroom, the man accused me of trying to use the bathroom without ordering food. He said I was only ordering to use the bathroom! Complete idiot, very disrespectful. I’ve been to a million other and BETTER places. GOSOMEWHEREELSE! Oh, and the chicken taco was creepy I ended up tossing it.

tucked away but easily accessible by most San Jose high tech offices. It’s a good go-to place to grab a quick lunch since it hadn’t been terribly busy the few times I went. the restaurant is pretty roomy with plenty of tables to accommodate nearby lunch patrons. their chile verde was pretty decent. hadn’t tried anything else but heard their burritos were decent too.

I do NOT recommend this place. I ordered the Flauta platter. The meat(beef) in the flautas was so salty I needed an extra drink. My re-fried beans were overcooked… they were dry and crumbly. If I were to rate this place on the food only I would give it a 2. However my trip to the bathroom is what made me rate this place with 1 star. The women’s bathroom was HORRIBLE. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. There were no toilet seat covers, no paper towel and the toilet it self… well I will save you the details! Had it been busy in the restaurant then I might have understood getting behind in cleaning. However we were the only ones there when we got there and the only ones there when we left. Mind you it was the dinner hour too. My advice: go somewhere else.

I’ve been going here for several years because it’s near work sites and I have come to like the family that owns and runs the business. I am partial to their breakfast burritos — not too big but very tasty with a good balance of meat, cheese, egg and potatoes for a good price. And I have never had a less than perfect chili relleno. Also, when ordering a complete dinner, the salad is still cold next to hot beans and rice. How to they do that? But this is really my go-to place when I’m tired and need a shot of freshly made chicken soup. The«cup» size is a lot and the«bowl» size easily serves two people a good lunch. Things are prepared quickly, even when there is only one person is in the kitchen, and«to-go» containers arrive neatly where I want to consume my food. You can order over the phone to have it ready when you arrive. They will deliver when catering a party of ten or more, and they have televisions now, with an appropriate sound level for conversation. The atmosphere is down-home casual, and the pupusas(she is only there for a limited time each day) are yummy. I’ve taken lots of friends there for business meetings as the tables are not too crowded together. Karlita’s has the best features of a neighborhood café.

I am pretty sure that my meat was not meat. Or perhaps the other other meat– the kind you do NOT want to eat. I took one bite of my carne asada sope and promptly spit it out. No thanks. Dont want to die today. Rather live. That being said I know people that go ape shit for this place– the chicken is something to be tasted here. However due to the fact that I value my life I will not try it. Not even a little bit. I also do not eat chicken.

Ooooh Myyy!!! One of a kind«Fast Food Taco» place. Unusual, yes, but it met our needs, was cheap and the food was 3 stars. Karlita’s is close to the SanJose Airport in a light industrial area. This area also is home to several airport business class hotels. Since we were just spending on night and leaving on a plane the next morning… I had already turned in our rental car. So there were few options in the neighborhood after 6pm. Kind of spooky walking thru this evening ghost town from the hotel to Karlitas. Door was open… lights were out… one middle aged guy at the indoor counter. No one else in the building except for one other guy who came and looked in and rapidly left. Maybe it was us? I don’t know. No Frills: Menu written on the wall. I ordered a veggie burrito. We also had chicken quesdilla and tacos and drinks. Sat down and food was delivered about 6 min. later. That was what they meant by «fast food». Chips and salsa were from Costco. Burrito was big and filling but over all just OK. Rest of the food was OK too. Clearly microwaved. But, it was hot and OK. We didn’t get sick either. Did I mention it is cheap too? Oh, and the guy did turn on the lights when he brought out the food. Interesting experience. Just don’t expect real authentic mexican style food. Don’t get your hopes up for a real California super burrito. If you are hungry, you will leave full. Yeah…3 stars for the food and low price. «OK» but maybe not«A-OK».

Food: I ordered Lengua burrito. +1 for even having this. It was delicious. Generous amount of lengua and I’m not exactly sure what else was in this burrito but I really enjoyed it. Drink: The horchata was the best I’d ever had. The guy only had enough to fill ~80% of my cup, but he refunded my money(without me even asking) and gave me the whole drink anyway. Service: I already mentioned how well the guy handled the drink. He was just super friendly. There were a group of people who didn’t speak english(or spanish for that matter) and he was very patient with them, and let them try all different kinds of food so they knew what they were getting. Seriously this guy just warmed my heart. Price: I think the Lengua burrito was like $ 6. I would call this affordable, especially for the size. Other reviews: How can you ding stars if all you order is a quesadilla? Seriously thats like going to a fine seafood restaurant and ordering a hamburger. And I’m originally from San Diego, so maybe this is a norcal thing, but wtf are super tacos? My interest is piqued. I’m staying nearby for the next few weeks and I will definitely return.

The owner gave me a strange look when I asked him for super tacos… but an even stranger look when he said okay and I started telling him what I wanted in it.(regular super taco ingredients). I’ve never been to a Mexican taqueria or otherwise that couldn’t make this simple dish. When I got the food to go, it was made in a pretty timely manner and the food was cheap. almost everything on the menu was. I open it up and the tacos fell apart, making for a huge mess. Quality wise, I would say they were decent. They filled me up but I definitely don’t see myself making any kind of trek down to 4th street unless I was in the area. I saw some other items people were eating and they looked good… so maybe it’s too early to judge. I might be back… maybe.

I only went here because it the nearest Mexican place close to where I work. I give it a 3 star.(Lunch was ok)…considering I only ordered a cheese quesadilla. The salsa verde was great though. Ill have to ask my co — workers how they liked their Burritos.
