Keyes Laundromat and Pure Water

Update as of October, 2015: The lowest price machines are now $ 2.25 or $ 2.75 with the gigantic washer now $ 9.00, but drying time is still a quarter for 9 min!
Parking is still a challenge during busy times like weekends but otherwise, still one of the better laundromats in the area.

I paid the machine, selected my options, and left after it displayed the remaining time and started spinning. I came back about 45 minutes later and the machine was off, the clothes were bone dry, and my coins gone. The machine hadn’t run at all.
No staff was on site to assist. No one answered the phone.

The manager is incredibly rude and the machines suck. Didn’t clean my clothes at all after $ 20 in quarters.

Laundromat that’s clean the owner started having a conversation with me and offered to turn on the TV since I decided to do laundry away from everyone. There are tables and chairs provided. Snack vending machine and drink vending machine, plus it’s a pure water so you can fill up water gallon jugs. Apparently you can have keys made here too. And it’s next to a Phở restaurant that’s open till midnight! The machines are coin op 3.25 for larger triple load washers and 2.25 for double load. 4.50 for super load, 7.50 for giant load. 1.25 for top loading machines. I like it so far…

Maybe i’m spoiled by quickwash but the owner of keyes is awful (deliberately made us stand when he didn’t want us to sit and fold) the coin machines can eat your money, and the driers don’t dry.
The negative review that stated he smokes outside is right on the money That is exactly what he does.
Only pro is that yes it’s clean but it’s not like the other laundromats AREN’T clean. Frankly once is enough for me.
Go to quickwash as it’s that much better.
They have wifi, machines that can’t eat your money (It’s a card system which in this case is better), driers that REALLY dry, and a bunch of super sweet asian ladies who runs the place.

This place is good! Newer Laundromat with good working machines. They have a guy here fixing any issues and keeping san jose bums out!

If I could rate it half a star or none at all, I would. I’ve been coming here once a week for over a year and when the washers or dryers don’t work, I get really frustrated. Once I had to dry my clothes for 2 hrs because the dryer wasn’t hot and my clothes were spinning in cold air. It’s so deceptive. That was once or twice, but I didn’t think much of it but the owner (who is there full time btw) could’ve put a sign up that says «Out of Order» or something.
Another time I came here, I washed my clothes and was preparing to dry them. After I put in money for the dryer, it wasn’t working. So I contacted the owner who was there and he didn’t believe me. I told him why would I lie about putting $ 1.00 in the dryer? I am a regular customer who comes all the time. It would be so impractical for me to lie about something so petty. He asked me to put another coin in so I did and it just happened to be working again but it still ate my other coins. He shrugged, and mumbled something while walking away. I thought he was going to come back and refund my dollar but he never did and I asked him about it and he said there was nothing he can do because he sees that the machine was working. Unbelievable. I mean, it is not even about the dollar, because really, I can care less. It’s the fact that I’ve been a regular customer for SO long but he still sees it as if I were making up tall tales. Even if I were, a dollar is not much to refund and I’d give someone the benefit of the doubt if they’ve been customers for a long time. So I ended up taking my clothes and leaving. There is no point in coming here when the owner himself can’t even admit to a faulty machine and give me a proper refund. We used to say hi every week and I was quite shocked at his bitter answer to be very honest. Very disappointed.
So beware when you come here. The machines here are sometimes faulty and you never know if the dryers are hot or if it’ll eat up your money. The owner is very unwilling to help and will brush you off like a piece of trash.

I’m a regular customer here for over a year, but they have such a horrible owner that doesn’t even take care of their machine, all he does is standing outside smoking or clean the machine with the black towel (basically at first it is white, but it turns all back and smell like sweats but he never changed it, EW) but I’m here for my laundry, so I don’t care about him, until they treat their customer like crap!
This happened the past few weeks ago. One of the dryer didn’t even fully dry my clothes (I usually put one dollar for ¹⁄₃ of load) into my dryer when i usually do the same for the past few months and it was dry as hell. So i thought maybe the dryer machine has some problem. So i told the owner (An old guy sitting outside smoking all the time), all he said is. ok ok… and walk away. So i tell myself just to use another dryer next time. But yesterday when i was going to dry my clothes again, i put in $ 1, the dryer machine broke down and claim i did not put in any money. So i have to go talk to the owner again (of course he is smoking outside again) all he does is ask me to put in another quarter to test it again if its wrong, which is okay with me, and magically it works! good ! But where is my $ 1 before this happen? And he walked away very quickly without looking at me, so i thought i will be getting a refund since the dryer eat my $ 1.
.after 5 mins, he hasn’t come yet, so i decided to go talk to him, i go «i need my $ 1 refund back, your machine just ate my $ 1» and he goes «Nope, we cannot do that, we absolutely cannot do it, we test the machine and its fine»… GREAT! After being a loyal customer for over a year, and all he did is pushing us away! I will Never come back here again. BE AWARE!

This is a decent laundromat. The place is clean and it looks like all of the machines work. I didn’t see any out of order signs.
I used the triple load machine for $ 3.50. And the single load machine for $ 1.25. Believe that they have double load machines as well for $ 2.25.
Dryers cost .25 for 9 minutes. I put in a $ 1.00 for each of my loads (36 minutes) and it came out dry. Be sure to clean out the dryer lint before you start.
Fair amount of parking and easy to get in and out. I think that this is what you probably would want in your laundromat. Everything is clean and everything works. It can be a little bit tight in the aisles but people seems cooperative when I was there.
They have vending machines for detergent and stuff. Change machines for $ 1, $ 5, and $ 10 bills. Vending machine for pop and snacks.
I don’t know what time that they open. I didn’t see any posting on the door/​wall. I was there on Sunday at 9m and it started to get a little bit crowded after I left. There is a parking lot and it is fairly easy to get in and out.

This place is one of the cleaner laundromats I’ve been to. There are a good amount of small, mid-​sized, and large washers and dryers that all look pretty new and sleek.
Dryers are 25 cents for 8 minutes — not as good of a deal as I would get in Daly City at 25 cents/​10 minutes (I’m in DC a lot on the weekends at my parents’ house, and I sometimes bring my laundry with me.) In case you forgot anything or want a snack, this laundromat is connected to a tiny store with supplies and goodies (Pure Water), or have a quick meal at the Vietnamese restaurant right next door.
The negatives:
1) Nowhere to sit! I’m supposed to stand for 1 hour while my stuff washes and drys?! I ended up walking across the store to an Asian market just to waste time.
2) Definitely not enough folding tables. At 3pm on a Friday, 3 of the 5 – 6 tables were occupied. I can’t imagine what it would be like if more people were there.
3) Small space. Again, I can’t imagine if 10 more people were around trying to roll their carts through the aisles.
Nonetheless, I’d come back here since it’s so clean and all the machines work.

Upside: Clean and open late with super sized washers. I come here to wash my comforters cuz they’re too big to fit in my washer at home. Pricing is affordable. Coin machine in the place as well as a little shop with essentials if you’ve forgotten to bring them with you. Decent restaurant next door to pass some time while you’re waiting for your stuff to dry.
Downside: The place can get REALLY crowded (like on Sundays about 5pm). I brought a book to read but there are only three seats in the entire place. If you’re lucky enough to snag one, you will lose it as soon as you get up for ANYTHING. Ended up passing most of the time in the car. Aisles are too narrow to pass others without bumping into them if you’re holding an armful of wet laundry and trying to reach the dryer without dropping your stuff on the floor. Don’t be surprised if they don’t even TRY to move a bit and just shoot you a dirty look.
Overall, I’ll put up with the bullshit to use this place again.

I was so happy when Keyes laundromat opened up down the street. The laundry facilities in our complex seem to always be in use and the people in our complex tend to throw things in the machines that cause them to break. Keyes laundromat is always clean and I like the fact that they have a little convenient store in the front where they sell water, refreshments, soap, and other things you might need for laundry. Since all of the washers are high efficiency washers, you only need ½ cup of soap (even for your dirtiest loads). I like washing my comforters in the triple load and then drying them in the HUGE dryer that they have. I just put 2 comforters in and they are BOTH dry 25 minutes later.
